Bush Lied and Our Soldiers Died (15 Postcards)
BUZZFLASH REVIEWS
BuzzFlash readers asked us to make these postcards available again, to honor the fallen and wounded in Iraq. Our postcards provide a way to remind your representatives and other Americans that there are consequences to Bush's lies.
Bush lied to us. It's as simple as that.
George W. Bush was the president when the decision was made to attack Iraq. Bush sold the war as a way to stop an "imminent threat" and to protect us from the weapons of mass destruction, neither of which materialized.
Bush's decision to invade Iraq is deplorable and his excuses are unacceptable. The buck stops at the Oval Office.
2400+ American soldiers are dead (as of May 2006). They can no longer be brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, grandfathers or grandmothers. They're dead because of the lies told by Bush and his administration.
No less important are the 17,000+ wounded soldiers and the 100,000+ dead Iraqi civilians. It's almost too much to grasp -- the death and destroyed lives caused by Bush's lies.
We honestly can't think of a worse thing a president could do. How does he sleep at night?
That's why we must remind people of the cost of this war. Send the cards to your representatives, mail them to the sheeple who refuse to see the lies, leave them in cabs, coffee shops, malls or anywhere someone might find them.
Hopefully, the reality and truth behind the lies will be revealed and America and its citizens will make the kind of changes necessary to create a better world, a world free of liars like George W. Bush.
Our military pledges their allegiance to protect our country; their chain of command starts in their squad and ends at the White House. When Bush sends our military to fight a war, he must make a conscious and (to many) heart-wrenching decision knowing that his decision will cause many people to die.
The long list of lies and half-truths told by Bush and his administration in pursuit of this war are despicable and shows Americans and the world, without a doubt, how little regard Bush has for the lives of our soldiers and the civilians they were sent to kill.
As Bush's lies were revealed, more and more of the BuzzFlash Readers sent us emails saying "Bush Lied and Our Soldiers Died" (and variants thereof).
Along with the postcard, we've put up a web page with links to articles and statistics:

Forward the link, send some postcards, and remind everyone the cost of leading a nation to war on a path of lies.
