Bright Endeavors is a nonprofit social enterprise committed to helping inner city, homeless and at-risk young women, between the ages of 16 - 25, gain the necessary skills to become self-sufficient, successful adults. Utilizing innovative business enterprise principles, Bright Endeavors assists young women to make positive life changes that lead to a strong sense of: self through leadership development training and career exploration; achievement through transitional work experience, work place goals and outcomes and performance reviews; independence through financial management skills and financial planning; and
direction through short-term and long-term personal and professional goal setting and permanent job placement.

Taking a comprehensive, holistic approach, Bright Endeavors believes that each participant must set and achieve goals in five critical areas of their life: education, career, family, finances and housing; in order to create a future that is rich with personal achievement, confidence and independence.

By offering transitional employment through its natural candle product line, Dreambean Candles, Bright Endeavors provides each participant with the guidance and training needed to develop a successful work history in an environment that fosters teamwork, professional communication and on-going learning.

While paid on the job work experience is important, Bright Endeavors also provides each participant with the following personal and professional supportive services:

* personal referrals to educational, counseling and recovery services
