We were sent a copy of "Processed People"awhile back (BuzzFlash receives many premiums for review because we are one of the biggest progressive marketplaces on the net), but just got around to watching it the other night.

It was really a thought-provoking exploration of how we have become, essentially, brainwashed and conditioned to accept corporate branded processed food that is generally unhealthy. In fact, a lot of our national health problems could be prevented by restructuring a factory food system out of control.

Advertising and superficial corporate controlled news condition us to accept this unhealthy lifestyle.

"Processed People" is short and offers a disconcerting prism on what we accept as the American lifestyle. It's got lots of fascinating extras.

Food Inc. is a more extensive, higher budget narrative that turns many a viewer into vegetarians. "Processed People" relies on experts who provide much "food for thought, the healthy kind."

From the Producers of "Processed People":

The DVD contains the full Processed People documentary (40 minutes) along with 140 additional minutes of extended personal interviews with the experts. Plus you'll get another 25 minutes of special feature items -- giving you nearly 3 and a half hours of fascinating, health-enhancing material. The film is shot in the 16:9 (widescreen) aspect ratio. NTSC

This is a film you will want to own and watch a few times -- and give to friends who may benefit from having their eyes opened about the health consequences, good and bad, that come from our dietary and lifestyle choices. People watching this film have reacted by saying, "Oh, now I get it" -- and then seek more information about the healthiest way to live.
