"This year marks the 40th anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. The original movie and album/Cd haven't been available for some time. Die hard like myself have the original album, video and latter on DVD, but are in dire need of an upgrade. And what about all that unreleased material? Finally a new updated version of both will be released on June 9th in a special deluxe collectors edition boxed set. There will be three full hours of unreleased material and not just bonus junk you get with most box sets. New footage from The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Santana, Joe Cocker, Canned Heat, Country Joe & the Fish, & Joan Baez. Plus performances by five classic acts whom never had any of their footage released: Creedance Clearwater Revival, The Grateful Dead, Mountain, Johnny Winter, & the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

There will be interviews with Martin Scorsese (assist. director) Eddie Kramer (engineer sound man), Michael Lang (promoter), Michael Wadleigh (director), musicians and others who were there.
