"Enemy of the State" is a mind-blowing presicent, clarivoyant film made in 1998 that foresaw the danger to personal liberties, privacy, and life in the wake of an NSA that used its vast and limitless powers to spy on Americans. What makes it even more amazing is that the plot get a kick-start when the head of the NSA tries to ram a bill through Congress that will allow his agency to conduct unlimited spying on Americans.
Amazingly, BuzzFlash saw this film for the first time last night; and it knocked our socks off. How this fictinoal account of events that largely unfolded -- to the threat to our privacy and well-being shortly after the Bush Administration took office and hit warp speed at the NSA after 9/11 -- remained pretty much forgotten in Hollywood history is beyond us to understand.
BuzzFlash has been focusing, in original staff commentary, on the inexplicable defense of the Cheney/Bush illegeal NSA wiretapping (and related issues) by the Obama Administration.
Here are some of the BuzzFlash journalism staff investigations and alerts relating to the subject matter that "Enemy of the People" foresaw as threats to democracy:

BuzzFlash knows of just a handful of other publications that have been vigorously pursuing the warrentless wiretap issue -- which you will see in "Enemy of the State" can quickly get out of hand in the most dangerous and deadly of ways.
Even Amazon.com calls "Enemy of the State" 'essential video." But for the BuzzFlash readers, the capacity it shows for the NSA and government agencies to invade, ravage, and destroy our privacy and liberty is reason enough to watch and share this vitally important film.
We urge you to view "Enemy of the State" and then send your copy to the White House.
