Why is thinking so looked down upon in America?

Okay, beer and football and consumerism are okay, but is there anything wrong with using a God-given gift: a brain?

That's part of the reasons Republican Fundies and wealthy S.O.B.'s hate liberals so much: thinking is just plain un-American to them. It's enough to be great because one is born American!

To be liberal is to think. It's not to accept some dogma as inviolable gospel to guide one's life -- or to claim that the Constitution is some sort of impermeable document, like the Bible, even though a couple of hundred years have passed and there are problems not anticipated by the Constitution.

In short to live in the real world, you have to think.

It would be so much easier to just argue that God is taking care of it all -- or Antonin Scalia.

So thinking not only makes one liberal, it makes one a responsible citizen of America -- and dare we say, the world.

Let people know that it is no crime to think!
