She's the queen of the pod people Republicans, with statements so bizarre, illogical, over the top, intolerant and offensive that she's like an Ann Coulter in Congress. She's Michelle Bachmann!

Will Prendergast, a Minnesota Bachmann expert, wrote and has overseen the production and artwork of two informative, scary, humorous and campy "comic books." This is the second, released in October of 2009.

Prendergast believes that it is a big mistake to "misunderestimate" Bachmann and her appeal to the lunatic fringe. In short, she is dangerous. But Prendergast's "comic books" do much more than mock Bachmann; they provide footnoted insight into the origins of her belief system (fringe Christian right)and the danger of her worldview.

Even the New York Times devoted an October 15, 2009, story to Bachmann's growing presence as a RWNJ spokesperson, starting to rival Palin: "On Capitol Hill, Ms. Bachmann is viewed with disdain by Democrats who see her as a wacky purveyor of outrageous claims and criticisms. Leading Republicans wince occasionally at her appearances on the floor and on television, but they also see her as someone with telegenic appeal who can energize conservatives and aggravate Democrats and they are not likely to rein her in."

Both comic books are highly recommended by BuzzFlash. They should receive more attention by the national media and progressives than they have. They nail Bachmann's threat to democracy and her animating gospel of the Apocalypse. In fact, these two comic books reveal more about her than you would probably get out of a 200 page book, because Prendergast knows what details are important to emphasize.
