These 100% cotton Fair Trade shawls/scarves are hand made in Guatemala and distributed by Distant Village Packaging. They are beautifully handwoven cloths in the telar tradition. The word "telar" means 'loom' in Spanish. When they are worn as a shawl, the looseness of the weave allows you to see the blouse or dress you are wearing beneath. When worn as a scarf, it's not too bulky. It's flexible enough to be used as a table runner as well. They are 68" long x 18 ½" wide.
