Jack from Ethically Engineered, whose beer soap and gear head shampoo bar we're selling, turned us on to this book and am I glad that he did! It makes shopping so much less angst-ridden because I can easily refer to this small lightweight book that has given ratings to all sorts of products and brands as to how socially and environmentally responsible they are. The author Dr. Ellis Jones is a sociologist and professor at UC Davis and has been promoting everyday activism for years. This book is worth every penny.
