American Heroes ... From Truth to Trust

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
by Shirley Smith

BuzzFlash,

How could any Democrat not love this guy? I get a high just reading the words "jail" and "Bush" in the same sentence ... words, that I think about every day, because that is another day this country and the world have lived without true democratic justice and another day some American in a far off land will have died at a very young age, defending this country over lies told by a treasonous and AWOL Commander in Chief of US military, who has unlimited protection and a wealthy lifestyle because of it.

In my mind's eye, when I need an uplift (well, everybody's different, saves on alcohol) I always envision Bush, with his hands gripping those cell bars, knuckles pasty white, with his face, puffy, sweaty and red, peering out from between those bars ... tears are streaming down his face and dripping onto the floor, and being licked up by a super-sized, thirsty fat rat that looks like a cat ... his screams are heard throughout four floors, begging Pickles to please, please ... visit him just once and help to get him out, or I can picture Bush in a cell looking for WMD ... would he be laughing at himself then, like he is laughing at Americans today, I wonder?

Walter Ducharme of Cambridge, Mass., 76, is celebrating Independence Day by practicing his right of expression, delivering a silent but explosive message to President Bush at his home.

"Impeach Bush" is emblazoned in white letters across Ducharme's black T-shirt. The buzz-haired man stands out like an exclamation mark amid the crowd clambering around the fence on the north lawn of the White House snapping souvenir pictures.

It's one of my goals in life to see him in jail," said Ducharme, an antiwar activist who plans to join a large rally today in which thousands of people are expected to fast from food for at least 24 hours.

Bennington Banner - The 4th means patriotism ... and protest

I can't think of a better reason to keep on keeping on and I hope Mr. Ducharme reaches his goals in life, especially that one.

Just a thought ... why can't our representatives (DLC) have this kind of passion about the party they represent, actually, the country they represent, because the Bush GOP do not represent the Republican party or this country. The Bush GOP and their followers represent only themselves.

Why aren't the Democratic party leadership angry enough to just state the truth? That's all we Americans want to hear ... the truth, then Americans will know who to trust. Simple, way too simple.

Thanks BuzzFlash,
