Shirley Smith: Freedom Agenda or Comfort Zone?

We've seen who Bush's and Cheney's friends are in other countries - "the other bad boys on the block." The only reason they like to visit countries that are not democratic is that they feel comfortable and right at home with the leadership of those countries, sorta, kinda, like a "murder for hire club," and it makes these dictators feel like real big men, and god only knows what Cheney is really doing behind closed doors ... they are either setting up more secret prisons or visiting them.

The perfect setting for Bush to be boasting about his "freedom agenda" should be from a federal prison. The only way the Bush GOP spreads democracy is with a sharp loaded knife ... so who is advising whom, I wonder? The best place to practice democracy would be here at home, in the good ole US of A, but coming from Dick or George ... well, people know better today.

Maybe Cheney's trips are just to get more government oppression tips. And, why don't we cut the gas off for all of these trips that are obviously not doing anything for this country? Cheney and Bush can spread their type of democracy all over the world, but by themselves, and on their own nickel.

The Bush White House has worked for five years to cause this crisis in this country, and they should be the ones to sacrifice the most, and foot their own damn bills. Americans don't need to be paying for their excesses. Trips that certainly aren't spreading democracy, since the Bush GOP couldn't begin to know what that word means, and have proved to Americans that they really don't believe in it, so whatever the hell Cheney is doing, it isn't going to be for the good of this country. We know that. These useless trips should be stopped.

Whatever Cheney's spreading, there's probably no antidote for it, and everything these bastards do causes more pain and always imprisons, maims, or kills. The folly is that Americans are paying for our own demise and footing these criminals' bills. We've had enough already.
