In DeLay's Own Words ... Re-Setting the GOP Stage with a New Script

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
by Shirley Smith

BuzzFlash,

Sorry, but just call me "Skeptic Smith," the only thing surprising about DeLay's move, to me, is that he didn't announce it on April 1, the day of fools ... in keeping with the cynical GOP. Oh, I want to rejoice, since there is so little to rejoice about today, when we know the needless spilling of blood is still going on because of this criminal regime that a complicit GOP congress does not want to stop ... but, if DeLay is stepping down, as he says ... why the delay? Just a few excerpts from the BuzzFlash headlines, in DeLay's own words explains how this criminal member of the Bush GOP feels about his loss of power ...

"As difficult as this decision has been for me, it's not going to be a great day for liberal Democrats, either," DeLay said. "My loyalty to the Republican Party, indeed my love for the Republican Party, has played no small part in this decision."

Pardon me, but what's not to love in a cowering GOP that lets these criminals control US government in their name? The Bush GOP is not a political party, and it is not the Republican Party ... a party that is known for its "balance of government and conservatism." I have always maintained that DeLay would try to run our US government from the inside of a jail cell, and when one reads the following statement, I can't be too far off base ...

And although I felt, I feel that I could have won the race, I just felt like I didn't want to risk the seat and that I can do more on the outside of the House than I can on the inside right now. I want to continue to fight for the conservative cause. I want to continue to work for a Republican majority. It's obvious to me over the last few months, ...

"Fighting for the conservative cause," if this weren't so serious, it would be the joke of the last five years on what the word "conservative" means. How long do these people (Bush GOP) think they can get away with telling the American people (who are without medical care, without jobs, without good paying jobs, and with the highest GOP debt ever in this country) that  they stand for conservatism? As I repeat, they are only conservative with their own money because they pay out of their own pockets ... nothing. An added delight is this chronology that dates back to how long this thug has been using US government to justify and satisfy his greed for power and monetary gain.

DeLay Chronology of Events

Under constant fire from Democrats, indicted on state charges and embroiled in a federal investigation, Tom DeLay said Monday he would retire from the U.S. House of Representatives and move to the Washington, D.C., area, abandoning the office he has held since 1984 ...

The Galveston County Daily News

Now, this is a very telling statement. Tom DeLay loves his party so much that he is going to move to DC, and where do you think we will find him ... try looking on a street in DC that is constantly having "sewage problems." The infamous "K" Street. How many friends, neighbors, relatives, and even ex-members of congress are doing business as lobbyists today? I think we need lists. Why is Cheney able to stay connected to his company and why is his company able to keep getting "no bid contracts" from a government that is supposed to be democratic in such offers ... at least it used to be, until these so-called Bush GOP criminals took over.

Bush, and his connections to all of his appointments in government, people who don't have the proper background for doing their jobs, and we Americans suffer because of this lack of honest leadership. (How many more New Orleans disasters are waiting in the wings of this Bush GOP "pretend" government?) These relationships that are connected to the power running this government are either incestuous or of a prostitution nature, and need to be stopped (outlawed for what they are). All incestuous relationships should be "against the law." And, why aren't they being stopped? A who's who on "K" Street would tell us that, as well as who is profiting, because of the looseness of ethics in the Bush GOP administration, including the appointments. (The wrong people in the White House took the ethics classes.)

But, it would have changed nothing. The lack of ethics (that have caused the criminal breakdown of this government) is on purpose, because they can get away with it because of a "weak" GOP congress, the same weakness that will cause another attack on this country. The same weakness that is causing our Americans to die in a strange country on a daily basis. The same weakness that looks away from the devastation the US has caused to a defenseless country, Iraq, now the home of tens of thousands of graves. The same weakness that looks the other way when Bush tries to usurp the power that is not granted to him in our Constitution.

Unless the federal prison is in DC, I see no reason for DeLay to go there. Another indication that DeLay thinks he can keep working against our democracy is in the following statement ... looking beyond his pride in getting caught ... the kind of power DeLay has been used to ... he will not give up as easily as his statement of giving up his seat in Congress, which, should have been done long ago, when instead he just gave up his position in congress.

SNOW: Okay, so at this point, you know — are you willing to let bygones be bygones?

DELAY: Absolutely not. Texas should not allow a district attorney from Travis County have this kind of power. And they can take his power away from him because there was the Texas legislature that gave him this power. And I think that will happen in the next session of the Texas legislature.

Naturally, this really is hard for DeLay to take, someone who might win over DeLay in his struggle of power. The tenacity of these Bush GOP criminals to hold onto their power, like a Dingo holds onto to his struggling, live meal, can give us the feeling that all of them are indoctrinated with a bath in instant glue and such an attachment when detached will be very painful to them (it takes away the skin and they become "unprotected"), and I have to wonder ... how much of our government are they taking away with them when they are finally torn (banished) from the Bush GOP in DC? Instead of being welcomed back onto the sidelines, these criminals should be treated like the plagued government officials that they are (can't be trusted), a detriment to our democracy.

The Bush GOP have spent five years chasing people and trying to make them credible for jail as terrorists, and since they can't do that, they just keep them locked up because after years of being tortured and locked up ... they probably have such a hate for this country ... well, one can only guess where their sympathies would lie. And, while that criminality was going on, the rest of the Bush GOP were using their positions in power to break the law and us our democracy for their own personal gains (rob the US treasury, make it fast, while the gates are open) and making money off of war, and the killings of tens of thousands of innocent people, and criminal legislation passed in this country ... what must those who have been incarcerated think about this country? What should the American people be thinking about this country under the rule of the criminal Bush GOP?

Remember, those birds who all sing the same tune, recite the same dogma ... those who have supported an illegal war, the highest debt ever in our nation, war against Americans and our environment ... it doesn't matter how they keep changing the script or the actors ... the stench of debt, death, and destruction should bring down the curtain on them with every performance and clear the Bush GOP theater (of war) for good (impeachment) ... and I'll celebrate that final act.

Thanks, BuzzFlash.
