More Missing in the Report of this Mishap than our Marines

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
by Shirley Smith

BuzzFlash,

Don't people find this type of report brutally baffling? A "7 ton" truck rolls over in a downpour of rain? Where was it, fording a river? But, hey, it's just one more report of somebody's kids getting killing, somebody's husband getting killed, somebody's wife getting killed ... or going missing, and we never see their faces, so how many Americans are going to miss these Marines? How many believe that these people would still be living gratifying lives if Bush had been kept out of range of the White House, where he belonged, chopping down trees in their mid-life, instead of people, whose lives have been spent fighting a war for imaginary reasons. Bush's windmills, Bush's reasons.

If there is any bloody justice left, anywhere in this psychopathically, GOP-ruled world, George Bush will pay for these crimes against our military and our country. A few years in the pen might just be what's needed to wipe that grin off his face, when he jokes about Iraq and their missing WMD. For added punishment, he can be given books with the pictures and details about the lives of every person killed and wounded, due to his leadership (a lifetime of reading material), and Laura can spend her time visiting him, commenting on the prison's housekeeping or tawdry decor, and staying the hell out of the news that evidently is way over her head and too deep to wade through.
