Simply Put, Payback Can and Will Be Hell

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
by Shirley Smith

BuzzFlash,

Out of everything I have read about these hostages, there has been no reason or any report that I know about, of what was going on between the kidnappers and these hostages that caused Tom Fox to be killed and the fact that the others were not killed. I think this strange. It almost sounds like he may have challenged them in some way, and they had to prove their power over him. I've also heard many times that the driver of the journalist, Jill Carroll, was killed during that kidnapping and then I read only once, that he was not killed, after all, and, I'm still curious about that detail, plus, are these the same kidnappers.

Then, there is the comment that Americans who are in Iraq are in very dangerous positions ... that obvious observation could be said about Americans being in many places around the world and why is that ... because of the Bush GOP policies, that's why. What can we expect when we have a roguish group of leaders who brag about their belief in kidnapping people off the streets on nothing more suspicious than their names, imprisoning them, subjecting them to months and even years of imprisonment and torture ... and, these kidnappings in Iraq sound sort of mild when compared to what our own government has done to people.

Many of their (Bush GOP) kidnapped prisoners would kill themselves because that was easier than to put up with what our leaders were doing to them ... and, many of them were kept in secret without anyone knowing where they were. Our Bush GOP government "disappeared" them. Even today, we have no idea how many were imprisoned and where they are and how many committed suicide because of this treatment, or how many have died because of this torturous treatment.

But the fifth hostage, Tom Fox, an American peace activist who was seized with Loney, Sooden and Kember on Nov. 26, was shot dead. The kidnappers dumped his body by a railway line in Baghdad on March 9. It's a positive sign that more hostages were freed than were killed (in March), but it's also a reminder that being an American in Iraq is still a very dangerous position to be in," said Evan Kohlmann, a New York-based terrorism consultant and founder of globalterroralert.com.

Kidnappings Forecast to Rise in Iraq - Yahoo! News

Whatever the reason for this killing of Tom Fox ... none of these killings, kidnappings, other horrific news out of this devastation country, would have happened if not for George Bush and his conspiracy to invade this country. We invade, capture, torture and kill and those who are responsible for all of this carnage are still walking around, fully protected, and free in what we like to call a democracy.

How Democratic is any of this? I don't think that question even has to have an answer do you? We can expect a show of anger from the world for years to come. In a "I'll scratch your back and you scratch mine" world today, that can apply to throats too, ... expect the worst. Payback can be hell, but it will be the innocent on both sides who catch it and who have been catching it ... not the ones who have caused it. Our congress keeps stumbling over the fine art of wording, hemming and hawing around ... when the simple truth is, the Bush GOP are a treasonous group who have committed crimes against humanity and should be relieved of all duties until impeached, then prosecuted for their crimes of war. Simple. All too simple.

Thanks, BuzzFlash.
