| The Ghost of Eternal War? MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON Am I the only one to find this report kinda, sorta strange? The Bush GOP administration in Iraq and around the world, including here at home, have gone to great lengths to imprison many people for years, without a clue as to what, if any, involvement by them might be in regard to terrorism ... but not so, with Zarqawi, he has been questioned and released or reported dead (How many times?) ... this puts him in Iraq and it also puts him out there "somewhere," so that the US will have an enemy to pursue ... never mind all of those people the Bush GOP are holding without any rights to counsel and they can't come up with any evidence to charge these people ... The Bush GOP administration has set a precedent that neither respects nor values democracy. They lied the US into a war and have killed tens of thousands of people ... and, if they can't kill them or starve them, they imprison them and torture them ... all based on either no evidence or the Bush GOP administration's idea's about freedom and democracy for everyone except themselves.
I don't know the odds ... I do know one sure thing, and I'll bet on it, that next year ... anything goes when it comes to the Bush GOP administration's imagination and the 2006 elections. Why? Well, because most of what they have done during elections in the past have not been punished by the law, so they will keep on keeping on until stopped ... but, by this time, I would expect even the most naive Americans would get just a little suspicious of the same old tricks ... however, people do like familiarity ... it actually becomes less threatening to them ... odd isn't it? I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about the return of the ghost of Zarqawi again in another boring chapter of the Bush GOP's always existing perpetual fight against terrorism, as an excuse to do unto Americans that which they have always wanted to do, and could never lawfully get away with, until the Supreme Court defied the law, and placed Bush into the White House.
