How to Fuel the War on Terrorism? Allow the Terrorists to Escape

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
by Shirley Smith

The Bush GOP can't fight Al Qaeda if they (Al Qaeda) don't have any leaders who can plan attacks so the US can keep fighting "terrorists."  Of course, these prisoners were allowed to escape. We Americans have more trouble trying to get in and out of the US than these Al Qaeda prisoners had, getting out of jail. Does this escape remind people of how the US lost Bush's friend bin Laden?

One of the four suspects was identified as Al Qaeda's highest-ranking operative in Southeast Asia when he was captured in 2002, a fact that emerged only during an unrelated military trial last month. Another, a Saudi, was also described by intelligence officials as an important Qaeda operative in Afghanistan.

More proof that this country will never be safe until we rid ourselves of the Bush GOP leadership and their followers. We can't trust these people with the safety of this country and all American citizens. Can't be done.

The Bush GOP will do "anything" to stay in power. Their loyalty is not to the US, but to themselves. Power is everything to them. Maybe bin Laden is dead ... who knows. Has the US captured any Al Qaeda leaders that would hurt their organization? They have put more energy into tracking American citizens using the excuse of fighting terrorism than they have in tracking actual terrorist activity. Unless Americans want to count the hundreds of innocent people captured and held in captivity without counsel all in the name of fighting terrorism. Even children.

As long as the treasonous Bush GOP are allowed to stay in power, they are more of a danger and a threat to this country than any terrorist could ever be. Remember, Bush and his administration knew a month in advance about the attack that happened on September 11, and they did nothing. Bush is just self-centered enough to think he will get some sympathy if the US is attacked again ... unbelievable.

I see the fact that Bush is still allowed to be in the office of the presidency after what we know and have experienced for the last five years, instead of being relieved of his duties (benched) ... I see this as a real flaw in US democracy. A real deadly flaw.
