Does Miller Fear Her Source More Than Jail?
MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
by Shirley Smith
Regarding the article from the Chicago Tribune: "Special
Privileges and Reporters" . . . as Mr. Chapman writes about Judith
Miller . . .
Her fortitude would be admirable in a noble cause, which unfortunately
this is not. Plame is the wife of former ambassador Joseph Wilson,
who infuriated the White House by publicly rejecting claims that Saddam
Hussein
was trying to acquire nuclear weapons. After he wrote an article criticizing
the Bush administration's evidence, someone leaked the information
in an attempt to discredit him.
I just have to say this :) . . . I agree if these reporters were protecting
something considered honorable . . . yes, that would be different.
But there should be laws about this kind of protection. When it comes
to treason
-- and this is all about treason -- to our country, committed by the
Bush administration.
Judith Miller says that she would go to jail rather than give the name
of her source . . . could it be that Miller fears her source more than
jail?
I wonder . . .
Just a thought,
Shirley Smith
