"Honor Betrayed" (DVD)

This
35-Minute DVD by American Family Voices documents the Bush Administration
assault on the financial and
health interests of our military and veterans. It is
the dark underside of the Bush photo-ops with troops;
the reality that belies the endless effort by Rove
to wrap Bush in military garb and ride him to election
on a "support the troops" wave of patriotism.
But Bush's proclaimed support for our troops, like everything else in the Bush Administration, is fraudulent and a betrayal of the honor of service in the military. You can get a taste of this compelling DVD by watching this clip.
Our soldiers and veterans are being used as nothing more that political stage props and cannon fodder by an administration whose loyalty is only to itself. "Honor Betrayed," produced in conjunction with Veterans for Common Sense, honors our men in the women in the armed forces by detailing how the Bush Cartel has betrayed them.
This DVD tells an important story, rarely covered by the mainstream media (particularly absent from television news), which carries the "Mission Accomplished" images of a Commander in Chief whose primary concern is only his own interests and those of his corporate supporters and religious extremists. For the Bush Cartel, the people in the military are not "their kind" of people -- and they really could care less about their welfare.
Bush likes to believe that he is some sort of father figure to America. But, as this DVD shows, he wants you to trust him while he abuses you in the name of protecting you.
It's a twisted tale that leaves our GIs as victims in its wake.
