A Song To Add To The President's iPod

This iPod story's just
A nauseating reminder
Of attempts to make Bush
Look gentler and kinder.

(This happens, of course,
Completely by chance
As his numbers drop faster
Than Michael Jackson’s pants.)

In my first music column
I showed no hesitancy
To suggest a song for
Bush’s presidency.

You can go to Amazon
And listen to a clip
Trust me, dear readers:
It’ll be worth the trip.

Bush’s basic world-view
When anything perplexes
Is simply, “Screw You
(We’re From Texas.”)

Go grab a snack from
The nearest cupboard
And check out this track
By Ray Wylie Hubbard.

You’ll chuckle, you’ll grin
More times than a few
The sentiment is funny
But sadly …it’s true.
