New Legislation Makes It Harder To Declare Bankruptcy

by Tony Peyser

The huge national deficit
Which Dubya daily inflates
Is the biggest we’ve ever had
Here in The United States.

Corporations get welfare
And every possible perk
But there’s little, if any, help
For the average folks who work.

This new law's guaranteed to please
Our country club plutocracy
And smacks in so many ways
Of absolute hypocrisy.

Bush is like a drunken barfly
Who decides to pick a fight
With a clean-cut social drinker
Who’s nursing a Bud Lite.

He mumbles and he stumbles
And then loudly blurts out, "Hey!
You can’t hold your liquor, pal!
You should go and join A.A.!"
