Republicans seized on this "scandal"
As if shot out of a cannon
But still continue to ignore
The exploits of Jeff Gannon.

But if Gannon were an avid
Illegal steroid consumer
That would surely catch their eye
So ... let’s all start that rumor.

Hell, let’s even claim that Gannon
Had once made a big killing
Selling fistfuls of anabolics
To Sosa, Bonds and Schilling.

When Jeff’s hauled before Congress
To dispute all of these views
Let the Democrats then begin
To grill him about Talon News.
