An E-Mail from Wisconsin

Truth be told, these days I get
Lots more e-mails than calls
A recent one I received was
From Menomonee Falls.

That town’s in Wisconsin
Which I bet some of you knew
The man writing is a Navy vet
Who served in World War II.

Bob asked a Bush supporter
A question that was precise:
Did Bush for his country
Ever make one sacrifice?

This guy said that he couldn’t
Think of any right away
But promised to get back
To Bob on another day.

Since they spoke four months ago
Bob’s been anticipating
Some kind of a response …
But he’s still just waiting.
