Rice Can't Put Timetable on Bringing Troops Home

How reluctant is Condi to do this?
I guess one could say “very”
She fears that picking just some date
Would seem rather arbitrary.

But the Bushies did just that
I realized upon reflection
When they decided on the day
To hold the Iraqi election.

Timetables are a device
Politicians can savor
But they only trot them out
When they work in their favor.
