Bush Supports Gonzales Because They Both Overcame "Potential Disadvantages"

by Tony Peyser

The obstacles George Bush faced
Would make any child flinch
(His mom’s side of the family
Was a founder of Merrill Lynch.)

How did his poor grandpa manage
To put food on the family plates?
(Prescott was a Senator
Right here in these United States.)

His father’s total lack of luck
Would chill any resident
(George Herbert Walker Bush
Was our 41st President.)

Bush's school years were dark and bleak
Almost like he was in jail
(He did hard time at Andover
And was later locked up at Yale.)

He worked hard each day until dark
His challenges were extreme
(In Texas, Bush was handed
A major league baseball team.)

"There are two Americas"
John Edwards often said
One George Bush was born into
The other just lives in his head.
