Waving a Red Flag

I don't wish any further quarrels
With those who voted with their morals.

But a new survey shows Red State winners
Are just as depraved as Blue State sinners.

Gays not marrying will hardly suffice:
It's time for Red States to pay the price.

No reading Playboy which deserves our scorn
No "Desperate Housewives" or downloading porn.

No NASCAR, which glorifies speeding
No old cars on lawns in need of weeding.

No divorcing, flirting or cheating
No gun purchases or overeating.

No renting of "The Passion" --- it's rated "R"
No rounds of brewskis at the local bar.

No Sundays watching football and cheering
That day's for church and volunteering.

Mom and apple pie as far as the eye can see
I have seen the future and it's Donny and Marie.
