Let's Recap, Shall We?
by Tony Peyser

When Bush squeaked by in 2000
I prayed there would not be a
Problem because he only won
Due to Thomas and Scalia.

I hoped he'd be so grateful
That for more than a little while
He'd really try and reach out
To folks across the aisle.

What an incredible dope I was!
The election was another case
Where Bush thought he'd hit a triple
But had been born on third base.

If people steal something once
Here's a little advice:
There's nothing to prevent them
From trying to steal it twice.

100,000 killed Iraqis
A half-trillion dollar debt
Over 1,000 dead U.S. troops
No light in the tunnel yet.

In our nation's history
One could call this the worst time
We can't give Bush a second chance;
Look what he did the first time.
