The Vice-Presidential Debate
by Tony Peyser

Cheney seemed old and pasty
Edwards had that youthful look
And seemed like a honest hero
From a new John Grisham book.

Like a banker declining a loan
Cheney kept wringing his hands
Instead of answering questions
He repeated his campaign stands.

Dick rarely mentioned his boss
As Kerry he often maligned
President Bush must have felt
Like the child who was left behind.
