Subject: “Sewage Leaks and the Picky Plumbers at the White House”

Why does the Administration seemingly only want to investigate and prosecute alleged “national security” leaks which happen to expose crimes, corruption, incompetence or constitutional crises of the Administration?

Why did we spend millions and tie up dozens of Justice Department attorneys for literally years trying to find out who “leaked” the exposure of CIA agent Valerie Plame when the Administration not only knew the answer from the beginning, but was the actual source of the “leak”?

Why was not only a CIA agent deliberately endangered by such a leak, but also all those she worked with and the cover so expensively and time consumingly created?

How is leaking of secret information classified as vital to national security suddenly not so vital merely because declassifying it helps advance partisan political goals? Why was the “declassification” of the secret kept secret?

If a CIA agent’s secret identity is not important to remain secret, then why is it so important to stamp everything else in sight “SECRET,” even that which was already printed and available in libraries and on the internet?

Why is it apparently only important to keep things secret from the American voters?

When did “national security” come to mean exclusively “job security” for the current Administration?

Oh, never mind. I think I have answered my own questions.

Subject: Re: Bush To Host 'United 93' Screening

It’s maddening to know that while Bush screens “United 93” with passengers' families his little mind will be wholly occupied with rehearsing the scripted reaction he will deliver, and not with a shaming recollection of how he failed these very families by his numb indecisiveness and unforgivable dereliction during the very minutes depicted in the movie.

Subject: To the Vendors of Presidential Prayer Team Clothing

The only prayer for George W Bush would be for God to take him out of office. Since God talks to him on a regular schedule (daily?), one could believe that God hates Americans. Since when does God give such wrong direction? If Bush were a true Christian, we would be far, far better off. He's a fake. The voice he hears is that of the Devil. He's just pandering to the born again just as you are by your profiteering. If you're sincere, why not a Prayer Team and accompanying apparel for Osama and other terrorists; or Hitler-out of purgatory, or North Korea, or Islamists of Iran, or of all Muslims to convert and on and on and on? You are either in rationalized denial or have backslid to the point of money changing in the temple. No. Your intentions are not pure under the circumstances. Pray for yourselves. I believe you are in a damnable position.

Subject: Prayer Clothes

Just reading one of Buzzes' postings of this website where there are these certain clothes to order to show that you are praying for the "One-who-calls-himself-Preznint." Hey, I know the perfect garment - how about a sackcloth made-to-order and when you receive your package in the mail and open it up it you will find that it has been immersed in ashes! (Oh, but maybe it won't go through the mail cuz of Homeland Security, you know? It might be terrorism!) But seriously, this is what is needed in our country because we need to repent and ask for God's mercy on this nation. We need to wear some sackcloth and ashes...

I have been through this...I know what the Chicks feel...and what every other person who was slammed felt! My kids...all three made my life a living hell...and I would not back down. My husband, slammed President Clinton for four long years, and I would not back down...Only one child has voiced regret with the words "I will never live this down"... but, no "I'm sorry"... or any words of the hell she put everyone in. And, the innocent kids who have gone and gotten killed ... It is all done. (I have an ulcer.)

The youngest son...still backs the idiot in chief, for what reason, I do not know! But, Carol ... rest in the knowledge that the CD you bought ... broke out at # 1 with a bullet on Billboard's top 100 ... and also on Amazon, so says Keith Olbermann ... and Larry King. These girls have, between them, 7 children, and I cannot imagine what they have been through ... with death threats all the time ... there is one thing we can all say ... the people who back this man blindly ... are really not very smart!

My uncle, by mistake, sent an e-mail to me today, in a round about way ... it was from one of his rightwingnut friends ... he sent it first to my brother ... who sent it back to him with the message "Send this to Shirley ... she is likely one of the idiots who would back this person" ... I am quite sure my uncle is embarrassed to death ... he had sent it to me previously and I agreed with him on this particular thing. Anyway ... I got in touch with a cousin ... we are very close ... he was in the Missouri House for about 6 terms ... and he and I are very in tune politically. I told him about it ... wondering if he had gotten it, his name was with mine, on the "to" list. He, with his democratic lucidity, said, Shirley, we try to love them all. "Love your enemies, it drives them nuts!" What a lesson!

Subject: Bad Sign

The reinforcements are being sent to Iraq in what is nothing but a last ditch attempt to put down an insurrection that's already out of control. Even stranger is the fact that the same thing happened just last year and, what's more, in this very same Anbar province. Another funny thing is that our president assured us, after last year's conflagration in Anbar, that our armed forces had not only put out this inferno, but that, from the ashes and the rubble, the New Iraq would emerge; a nice place to be, free and democratic and with all of its citizens grateful to America for having rescued them from tyranny. What ingrates, these Iraqi insurrectionists! Or are they patriots?

Subject: Iraq Conclusion

I've had the awful thought but I think it's not impossible that after we see the Iraqis "stand up," they will then unite to turn against us and throw us out of their country. That would be the ultimate irony! Then as a parting shot they would tear up the sneaky Cheney oil deals, giving away their precious oil, and send Exxon-Mobile Oil on their way. Democracy rears its beautiful head and prevails, which is what you wanted, President Bush?

Subject: If He Only Had a Heart

In the story about US Troops killing a pregnant woman on her way to the hospital to deliver her baby (U.S. troops kill pregnant woman in Iraq) is the following quote:

"In his first public comments on the incident, President Bush said he was troubled by the allegations, and that, 'If in fact laws were broken, there will be punishment.'"

A human being with a heart and an iota of compassion would have made a comment of regret for the family. Particularly since this loss involved an unborn child, the most sacred of living beings to this crowd. But no, no mention of that from our Dominionist-in-chief. It leads me to believe that all rhetoric of delivering freedom to the Iraqis aside, President Bush doesn't really believe in the humanity of the Iraqis at all.

What would Clinton have said?

Subject: Just kill the 5 yr. old bastard!

I am just mortified at the number of people on tv trying to justify what happened at Haditha by saying, "Well those people knew about the bomb and didn't tell anyone." Hellooooooo! If a little 5 year old girl knows her neighbor is a serial killer, but doesn't tell the police out of fear he will kill her, too, do we kill the little girl? If these innocent civilians tell, then the insurgents will kill them!

Yep, we have sure made the Iraqi people feel safe, free and democratized! When do they start throwing the flowers?

Subject: The United States Senate of Shame

Looks like all those silly fools, running around in circles trying to tell everyone that the nomination of Samuel Alito would be a catastrophe for the country, weren’t so silly after all. Looks like they might have been right. Oh, well, too late.

We can send our thanks in three directions. We can thank all the Republicans, with the notable exception of Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island. We can send thank you cards to Democratic Senators Byrd of West Virginia, Conrad of North Dakota, Johnson of South Dakota and Nelson of Nebraska. (All the rest of the Democratic Senators and Independent Jeffords of Vermont voted against Alito.)

U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes 109th Congress - 2nd Session

And, most of all, we can thank America’s media, who kept up a non-stop campaign to make Alito’s hearing all about abortion.

Anyone who was really paying attention (Chris Matthews, you think this excludes you) knew that the real problem with Sammy Alito, other than his sissy wife, was that he didn’t seem very interested in protecting the rights of American Citizens. Corporations, you bet. Government overreach, absolutely.

Anyone with the I.Q. of a pepper plant should have been able to see that this man had no business sitting on the highest court in the land. Or any other court, for that matter.

Republicans, you got your way. Conservative Religious Butt-in-skis, you got your way. And corporate America, you got a real pal.

It’s just the rest of us, the few, the screwed and the last concern of our government who were totally off anyone’s radar screen.

If you missed Sammy Alito’s tie-breaking vote to try and strangle free speech and the rights of whistle blowers, good for you. Knowing this when you can do nothing about it is hard on the blood pressure.

High Court Decision Could Hurt Misconduct Probes, Lawyer Says (LA Times)

As for all the fanatics who somehow think they have the right to interfere in the body functions of another human being, you were scammed. This Supreme Court is never going to outlaw abortion. If they did, they couldn’t get all you nutcakes off the couch and out to vote. They don’t want abortion to go away. They need it.

Subject: George/Blanche

Dear BuzzFlash,

Is it me or is George W. Bush channeling Blanche Dubois from "Streetcar" these days? His fragile sensibility, his rickety self-delusions and outbursts of rage fueled by untreated addiction, his wispy meandering drawlings ... I think he must have seen the play and unconsciously taken on the role of the tragic Blanche. I guess we can only hope he gets hauled off for treatment soon.

Subject: The Crowd for Bush

Every time I hear of George Bush giving a speech, I wonder, "Why do people listen to him?" As long as our Veteran Org. and the American People attend his meetings and clap for him, things are not going to get any better - can't they see that? Why would anyone who has served in war or has someone serving in the war go to one of his meetings, sit there and listen to his lies and then stand up and clap for him, God help us?

Subject: Wal-Martians Attack!!

Dear BuzzFlash:

Northwest Arkansas has been invaded by thousands of mind controlled Wal-Mart (or Wal-Martians as some of us refer to them) stockholders on their annual pilgrimage to Fayetteville's Bud Walton Arena. The streets are hopelessly clogged, chartered busses ferry back and forth between area motels and hotels, delivering their charges to an exercise in Wal-Mart brainwashing. The sessions are basically "this is your company, without you we couldn't survive" b***s***. It's complete with cheerleading, special guest appearances by country fried bands like this year's Rascal Flatts, or by various entertainers in years past eager to hawk their patriotism and barely concealed right-wing viewpoints on the fawning attendees.

Of course, all the newspapers and local television stations turn into media sycophants for the week, never mentioning Wal-Mart's abysmal labor record, hatred of organized labor, blatant hiring of illegal aliens and even its habit of foisting neocon evangelism on its shoppers by prominently displaying the "Left Behind" series near the front of the store, the biography of Sam Walton, and books by the usual suspects like Hannity and O'Reilly set up in pretty displays in their faux "book store," that really is nothing but a little cheap wood plastered over the tile. Money doesn't just talk, it screams.

Wal-Mart is a state store, determined to kill off every bit of competition it faces. Charges of monopolizing don't get very far when the right palms are greased. It's impossible here in the center of the Wal-Mart universe to avoid it completely. Looney Tunes, like the shareholders and their costumes, the media control, and shameless promotion like the Oscar Mayer Weeniemobile and the occasional blimp make me gag.

Cities successful so far in keeping Wal-Mart out don't know just how right they are in fighting this giant. I can only urge opponents to this company to keep up the fight to keep Wal-Mart out. If they get in, you'll wish to hell they hadn't.

Scott
Fayetteville, AR.

P.S. The Dixie Chicks and rock bands are not invited to the brainwashing. Imagine that.

Subject: Best President?

Leading the list for best President since 1945 is Ronald Reagan with 28 percent. Until this 28% understands that Reagan gave birth to Bush 2,; our country is still in big big trouble. Add this number to Clinton's number and you have the reason Americans accept fascism.

It is a fact that Reagan is the modern day American Golden Calf. Americans simply don't understand what fascism is. They think it comes with a swastika and it does not. It comes with financial oppression, government intrusion, spying and reporting and paranoia ... It comes like a thief in the night.

AND IT HAS COME HOME.... We are no longer free. We are oppressed; sitting ducks; and every day that you read this BuzzFlash Mailbag just might be the last day you have the freedom to read an opposing view. They plan to take over the Internet and put all of us on a train bound for their new prison ... where if we aren't strong enough to provide free labor, we go to the (proverbial) ovens. Of course this time it will be a designer disease, fresh from the petrie dishes of the USAMRID.

Subject: Didn’t the Nazi Soldiers Execute Civilians for Attacks and Resistance?

With the revelation of the Haditha executions of civilians I am having the feeling that history is repeating itself. Didn’t the Nazi soldiers execute civilians for attacks and resistance? It is really difficult not to draw those types of parallels given the actions of the U.S. Government these days.

This story has to be really explosive, given that the WWH (white whore house) spin doctors can’t spin it away and the blind MSM have to report it.

When talking about parallels between the Nazis and today’s war on “terr-a,” I seem to recall in my history classes stories of the Nazis taking so-called enemy combatants to secret prisons and torturing them. I also recall that Hitler had people in charge of putting stories out in the media. I recall Hitler ignoring the established laws and doing as he pleased regardless. Back then Hitler was the “decider.”

We all know how WWII turned out. Only now we are the citizens in a country whose leaders have gone mad.

Two words: How Sad.
