Subject: Democrats Take Lead Over Republicans

Yes, the Democrats have been taking over in the polls on all issues except for terrorism and the Iraq war. Hmm..... I have noticed that these guys who still support Bush and his war are kinda.... you know.... super-macho. Ok, so what does that say when it's the "tough guys" that are so easily sold on the whole fear thing?

Also, 61% of Americans still *like* the guy! Ok, so now you have these macho republican guys who really want to have that beer with a former male cheerleader. It just seems to me they can't face who they really are.

Subject: Why Iran Will Be Attacked Before November Unless We March on Washington

The Bush/Cheney administration has manufactured propaganda that has taken Iran's previous ability to make a bomb in 10 years and whittled it down to just over two weeks!

Head for the hills folks! We're all doomed! Bush/Cheney's ratings are down, so we need another war on terror!

Iran Could Produce Nuclear Bomb in 16 Days, U.S. Says (Update1) (bloomberg.com)

Timing Is Right (Arkansas Democrat Gazette)

Didn't we already see this show a few years ago? This is a rehash of the propaganda that brought us the Iraqi quagmire. The only thing different about it is back then they demonized Iraq instead of Iran, and the threat was WMDs and mushroom clouds instead of now just being a mushroom cloud, as in one mushroom cloud.

Of course, this time around, we have the added propagandized threat of illegal immigrants who want to take away our crappy minimum wage and under the table jobs.

Never mind that North Korea now has several nukes. Why aren't we bombing the hell out of them? No O-I-L.

Besides low poll ratings, the other reasons Bush/Cheney wants to bomb Iran, is not just to control their oil, but because Iran intends to switch their oil sales from petrodollars to petroeuros. Venezuela is also threatening to take a similar action. That's why Chavez is being smeared. We may attack them too.

If these two countries switch to petroeuros, you can be assured the dollar will plummet, creating a snowball effect. Interest rates will rise to double digits. Inflation will rise to double digits. Gold will hit $1000. Oil will hit $100 a barrel. The stock market will crash. Unemployment will rise to double digits. The housing market bubble will explode. All of this will lead to a deep recession and put the U.S. into negative GNP territory.

But the worst side effect, at least for the Republicans, is they will lose the majority in the Senate and in the House, plus they will also lose the presidency as well, for at least a generation.

That is why I believe they HAVE to attack Iran and they will do it by October, because they are in danger right now of losing the majority in at least the Senate or the House. They cannot afford that, because the Democrats will then be able to halt all of their lobbyist friendly legislation. Plus, if the Democrats take back the House, impeachments will be their main order of business in 2007.

So, if you want to stop the upcoming attack on Iran, and it could very well be a nuclear attack, you better get ready to march on Washington. The immigrants have shown us the way, and it looks like college students have also awakened and are starting to get into the act:

SANTA CRUZ: Military recruiters, confronted by crowd, leave campus job fair
Anti-war protesters at university block doors to building
(San Francisco Chronicle)

Nothing short of massive demonstrations over several weeks or months can stop another war in the Middle East, a war that could very well turn into WWIII.

Get ready folks, it's the return of the 60's, man!

Subject: War with Iran

Dear Buzz,

I contacted all my representatives in congress about the fact that I think that war with Iran is stupid beyond belief. Two wrote me back telling me how dangerous Iran is and that they are going to do something about it. I do not think they are even reading a synopsis of their email comments, they are just going their merry way.

Subject: Why the Generals Must Quit Before Speaking Up

Hi BuzzFlash,

Doesn't the Media remember anything? They keep wondering why the Generals did not speak out while they were still active.

Excuse me, but it would help if these same reporters would remember that there was once a person named General Eric Shinseki, who told Bush and Rummy that we would need tens upon thousands more troops then Bush and Rummy World wanted to commit to battle and for the "easy" occupation.

Bush and Rummy would have none of the troop count estimate for their cakewalk war and promptly fired General Shinseki.

Shinseki was proven correct in his estimate.

So again, to these reporters that continue to wonder about the Generals not speaking out, remember General Shinseki.

Subject: Squandering the Magic of Our Sons

We are collectively much less from the ongoing slaughter for a phony war for lies.

Having lost a grandfather to WWII long before I was born, I know a death doesn't end with that generation. The sadness of squandered magic goes on and on.

As a mother I think of all of those kids, and their parents, in the same terms that I think and feel about my own son.

It should be simple to say why you’d never love any of the other 6.6 billion people on the planet. As much, or the way, you love your son. It should be easy to explain this person. Who gave birth to you as much as you channeled him here. But it isn’t simple, or easy. Primal loves go to the center of the universe, and the edges of it too, and contain, in their unique way, all there is. They are a bond that will not diminish in time, because they are a distinct spiritual force in time. Standing on their own, and together, like the four physics forces.

I could speak about his physical enchantments, and recite his achievements, virtues, and gifts. Or say that when he entered a room, at two, or four, or six, or sixteen, or twenty-six or thirty, that the quality of air and light and time and conceptions of that hour, and all potentialities, changed, too.

I could show the photos and letters of a lifetime; laugh and cry at those million moments of fun, and adventure, and sorrow, and daring. And express pride that his life has been one continuous act of selfless courage, charm, and caring. But to say too much would intrude on a discrete and other-oriented man.

When we speak the world runs away. When we are together there is some kind of magical everything, in a bubble, all contained right there. If we walk on the beach and say nothing, it doesn’t matter, because everything is in his just being there.

Uni-verse means one unifying song. Its nature is essentially creativity and grace, with everything at once mirroring and containing its other side. My essential nature is creative. Rob’s is grace. Beyond eternity my first blessing is my Son.

This is what is being killed off not just in Iraq, with the drain of financial and human capital there is a less obvious slaughter here, too.

Where are the real heroes today?

Subject: 21st Century of Hell

Remember the 1990's? The era of the dot.com balloon and bust. People were working, people were happy. We had the strongest economy the country had ever seen. We had a balanced budget. In fact, we had a surplus. We had respect around the World.

Yet, our President at that time was under constant abuse for things such as having friends in Hollywood and eventually was impeached for a private act that, agreed, he should not have done. But, he did not rape the country, as our current White House resident is doing. Today, we are borrowing money from enemies to fight other enemies. Our country is on the verge of bankruptcy. We're in a war in Iraq that there was never any clear reason or justification for. Thousands of people have lost their lives and an even larger number are maimed and lives left in ruin because of it.

We chased a terrorist whose family happens to be close friends of our President's family. Had him cornered, but our troops were ordered to stand-down and let the locals (who harbored him) go in and secure the location. We have an educational system that is failing due to the 'No Child Left Behind' act. Our basic support infrastructure, such as utilities, are becoming something that is out of the reach of many of our citizens.

We have widespread corruption at very high levels of office. Our media is under their thumb and has lost sight of what they are supposed to do. The list just grows on a daily basis. There is no end in sight.

The most recent issue surrounding immigration, FINALLY, got some attention from people who love our country. Most of the people that marched in our streets for what is right were those that were not born here.

What has happened to us? Why do we sit and watch as our country is being run into the ground? I fear for where we will be by the time this term is over. People are living in fear. Not in fear of some guy who lives in a cave on the other side of the world, but in fear of our own. In fear of what our government will do to us. In America, we live in fear. And we seem to accept it.

How sad, it has come to this. No other country will overthrow us, we will destroy ourselves. I'm not willing to quit the fight, but where is the fight?

Subject: World War 3?

Surely, if we have learned one thing in this country it is NEVER to believe one word uttered by the Resident White House lunatic and his co-lunatics. If you want to know the truth, ALWAYS believe the OPPOSITE of anything the Axis of Evil, aka BUSH...CHENEY...RUMSFELD, say, because THAT is the truth.

Given this truth, why is anyone wasting time discussing or debating whether or not the Resident Fascist is telling the truth when he says he has no intention of invading Iran? Of course he is planning to invade Iran. Of course he is planning to use nuclear weapons. How could anyone possibly doubt this? You don't have to be a genius or a member of Mensa to understand this.

The Axis of Evil is a triumvirate of LIARS, THIEVES, FASCISTS who don't give a s**t what anyone else says. There were 13 million of us on the streets of the world's cities the February before this miserable war started. Did the Axis of Evil care? Not one little bit.

So, just remember to believe the opposite of anything these creatures say. Then you will know the truth.

Subject: The Apathetic American

The Bush Administration's action in almost everything they undertake is headed in the wrong direction. We have been shown the failures in Iraq, in Afghanistan we have seen an escalation of violence and the return of the Taliban, the domestic spying program extends to other than terrorist surveillance, abuse of power by the Executive branch is the rule rather then the exception, the Libby trial reveals more cover-ups and lies despite the convenient stonewalling of the Libby trial until AFTER the elections, as the media and the Republican Guard act as a wall of protection for Bush blunders. The middle class of America works harder for fewer benefits, while Bush offers most financial aid to the rich. It is time Americans recognized the fact the Bush Administration will be the means for our own destruction, if we fail in our responsibility to speak out.

The illegal and immigrants march in every city in the United States for immigration laws, the French march against labor laws and other European countries have demonstrated for rights and freedom, while in vital issues such as the unjustified Iraq War, and as a replay of Iraq against Iran seems to be in the making, most Americans, who want the blessings of freedom and Democracy will not get out in the streets to support it! Their silence is appalling!

HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU HEARD THOSE WHO CARE CRY OUT; WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE? The deafening silence from Americans and some Congressional members betrays our trust, and diminishes our confidence and lets the Bush Administration and the ruling Republicans get away with their misuse of the power we entrusted to them.

A German theologian who had suffered imprisonment during World War II named Martin Niemoeller wrote:

In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me and by that time no one was left to speak up!

To those who are a part of the silent majority, who have little courage for confrontation and are too self-interested to challenge this Administration, what are you waiting for??? As terrorism increases, civil liberties are taken away, oversight becomes a thing of the past, election fraud continues, and the NeoCons advance their empire building plan, will you wait until your children or grandchildren are called on to sacrifice their freedom and their lives???

Subject: They Are Not Immigrants

Here I am, a left-wing liberal Democrat and once again, the left is wrong on illegal alien issues. Do you enjoy seeing Republicans voted into office? Do you like having them control all branches of government? Do you like what Bush has done to the country the past 5 years? It didn't have to be this way and dissension in the Democratic party made it happen. If Greens and liberal Democrats hadn't voted for Nader in the first place, this whole Bush thing would never have happened. Think about it.

It's 1984, not 2006. We've got newspeak happening. Illegal aliens are being labeled immigrants. They are not immigrants. Immigrants are law abiding people who came here legally as both of my grandparents on my mother's side did. My maternal grandfather came from Palermo, Sicily, and served in the US Army in WWI. My maternal grandmother came from The Ukraine but was not allowed into the country. For years, we thought her family didn't have the required amount of money to get in but it turns out it was because her father had TB. They had come to Ellis Island from London so got back on the boat and returned. It took them 8 more years before half the family could make a second attempt at emigrating to America and were finally successful.

My ancestors on my father's side were legal immigrants, too, but they came here from France and England in the 17th century.

When my immigrant families came here, they assimilated and became a part of the community. Some had to learn a new language but they were determined to do that, passed the tests, and became citizens. The forms they had to deal with were in English, not Italian, Russian or French. They were motivated to learn English as a way to succeed in this new society.

I'm all for legal immigration but I detest illegal border crossings that violate our laws. It's an insult to those who played by the rules. Mexicans come here for economic advantage, not to escape violence, intolerance, religious persecution against Huguenots in France, and pogroms against Jews in The Ukraine, as my relatives did.

If you want to do something to help the poor Mexicans, do something to shake up the system. Go after the source of the problem, the Mexican government. Criticize our president and our Congress for not doing enough to pressure Mexico to transform its government and its economy. Every time you hold out the hope of amnesty for illegal aliens, you create a more powerful magnet that attracts them here.

I was thoroughly disgusted when I heard Sen. Ted Kennedy address the rally in DC. He looked out over the mostly illegal crowd and said, "I'm looking at the future of America!" What? Did we lose a war? Have we become an annexation of Mexico? Is Spanish to be the official language and Catholicism to be the official religion? Are women to have no rights? Is abortion about to become illegal?

Sorry but I side with the majority of US citizens who do not appreciate seeing the country we love swamped by illegals and want to see measures taken to deal with the problem. Congress is in recess and they're going to get an earful from their constituents. Any Democrat who wants to be elected or reelected had better be on the right side of this issue or fail at the ballot box.

Subject: Immigration

It's amazing, the BuzzFlash will not to acknowledge the effect that illegal immigration has on the lives of African-Americans. I would suggest that you come to south Los Angeles and visit the neighborhoods that had to absorb illegal immigrants.

What about the neighborhood schools where black children are ignore or abused, what about the employers who refuse to hire African-Americans?

BuzzFlash needs to listen to the African-American community in Southern California. I am not against legal immigrants, I am against illegal immigration.

Subject: The Coward of the Country?

I’ve read every analysis I can get my hands on regarding the standoff between the U.S. and Iran. Not one has figured out that this is an adolescent game between two fools as to “who will blink first.” As the whole world waits with bated breath for a final resolution (war or no war), these two mature bodies with adolescent minds play“who will blink first.”

I sure hope it’s Ahmadinejad, for George Bush, stuck in a sophomoric, fraternity boy’s mind set, will never allow himself to be labeled “The Coward of the Country.” He’d rather obliterate the world than blink.

We have an individual as president who met his “peter principle” somewhere in junior high school. If it weren’t for family connections, Bush would not have been accepted in Yale or Harvard. He’s of borderline intelligence and his self-delusions are reinforced by his toadies.

Bush, however, is not alone. There is a “toady” segment of the “baby boom” generation (add plus or minus ten years to the commonly accepted definition) who has risen to power either through connections (George Bush) or ass kissing (Clarence Thomas). They have used their only asset, salesmanship, to deceive an undereducated populace (the popularity of “American Idol” speaks volumes). To paraphrase George Burns: “Sincerity. If you can fake that, you've got it made."

The world is in the hands of a 17-year-old Edward Haskell, who in his own mind will never be known as “The Coward of the Country.”

Subject: Illegal Immigrants and the Democratic Party

The issue of giving amnesty to illegal aliens will be the equalizing force in November the republicans have been praying for.

The Democrats had the fall elections in the bag, but their current stance on illegal immigration and open borders will pull the republicans even.

What do we not understand about the open border policy of corporate America and the exploitation of cheap labor? Most Americans do understand, and the Democrats will feel their sting this fall.

Subject: How Will Bush Go Down in History?

There is an AOL question about how Bush will go down in history. This was my answer. You can add to it if you are on AOL. It's called the "Daily Pulse," and I answer the part about how Bush will go down in history.

Bush will go down in history, if there is a history at the rate he is going, as the president who spread pulverized nuclear waste all around the world. The future generations will be born deformed six times more often (as they are now, when exposed to depleted uranium), and many will not be born at all. For a "pro-life" president and a "pro-life" party, he and the Republicans have a weird way of showing it.

Depleted Uranium, which is nuclear waste that disperses and attaches to the lungs, causes abortions. It also causes cancers and deformities and changes in DNA. What there is left of history will bring shame on Bush and the helpers in Congress who are dumping this radioactive nuclear waste on the air, the water, the earth, and in the lungs of the people who are "serving" their country. The DU comes back to us in four days in the form of dust carried by the air. The boomerang of cancer will haunt history. And Bush, and all the senators and congressional representatives, are to blame for continuing this nuclear war.

Subject: Iran Solution

BuzzFlash,

I agree with Bush that the US should boycott Iran and stop buying their petroleum. Who needs it? If we run low, first we can recycle all SUVs, turning them into compact hybrids. Then, If there is still a shortage, we can buy more from Venezuela.

Subject: Rep. John Conyers

Well we knew that this was coming. CNN writer Drew Griffin has written that former Conyers office workers have accused him of asking them to baby sit his kids when they were hired to do other things. Republicans have probably looked high and low to find something to accuse Conyers of doing.

Why? He has been an active critic of GeeDubya's administration. This is one congressman that I will always support. Let's see this for what it is: If you attack Bush, they will come after you!

It's hard for me to believe the FLIGHT 93 tape. It has been almost 5 years, and with our high tech and fake Osama Bin Laughin tapes of the past, can this be for real?
