The BuzzFlash Mailbag The opinions expressed in the Mailbag are not necessarily those of BuzzFlash. More reader opinion is at "Contributors." You can write to Mailbag at http://www.BuzzFlash.com/contact/mail.html. Guidelines for submissions are at BuzzFlash FAQ #18. [BuzzFlash Note: Many of today's letters reference our editorial, There is No Choice "C" in the Battle to Restore Democracy to America, and our Saturday email alert. Thanks for your very positive response.] Subject: UAE Gave $100 Million for Katrina Relief
yeah sure ... I wonder why hundreds of Katrina refugees are still unhoused. Jo Subject: Thoughts--Very Strong Thoughts Dear Buzz, I barely remember, doing this, but I know that I alerted my entire family about the start-up of your website. I saw your founders for a brief moment on television, and I KNEW you had an important mission worthy of support. I’m not sure of the date, but upon reflection, think that it must have been after the 2000 “election,” an event that literally rocked my soul and shattered my belief in the best government in history. I do not think I have enjoyed a good night’s sleep since I saw the republican bullies beating at the doors of the Florida vote-counters. How troubling, yet fully expected, is the revelation that one of the bullies was indeed, John Bolton, our esteemed “non” – ambassador to the United Nations. BuzzFlash, of course was on the story like a flash! I count on BuzzFlash to elucidate and illuminate the issues that are put before us in a cloud of smoke. I support BuzzFlash with every penny I can afford. I’m not so bad off, you know, I’m a retired teacher; but having raised four kids who have to face this skewed economy, I feel I have to supplement such things as house closings and acne medicine for my grandchildren. They simply do not have the opportunities our generation did, and the economy, thanks to Bush policies, is winnowing daily! BuzzFlash gave me courage and energy through 2000 – 2004. I stayed up night after night writing to progressive blogs, battling those (Democrats!) who dismissed Howard Dean as some kind of maniac while he spoke nothing but the truth. I went to the John Kerry website daily, only to find that he had the good intentions, but not the fire of John Edwards. Before the so-called war, I contacted every senator possible and begged him or her to consider the destabilization of the Middle East before they gave the so-called president carte blanche on Iraq. Here I am, an ordinary citizen, and every single thing I envisioned has come to pass!!!! I wrote to several blogs, including BuzzFlash, suggesting that we TURN OFF the cable pundits (aka talking heads). I never received a response to this thought--God, don’t we have to watch what the other side is doing? I was dismissed by silence. Now we have come to the reality of the death of Coretta Scott King, wife of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. How beautiful was it to hear the truth of conviction put forth by Reverend Lowery, former President James Carter, and former President William Jefferson Clinton?! They used the bully pulpit that was rightfully theirs! Now it has occurred to me that the black people--heroes--faced oppression with a simple conviction--they would no longer BUY what the big shots had for sale--bus rides!! What a pure and simple example for us all: We do not have to BUY what they are selling!! Black people decided, that despite inconvenience, they would not BUY the bus fares!! That was courageous. How much courage would it take for Progressives to refuse to BUY the Clap-Trap of the ilk of Chris Matthews? What? Give up cable?? Yes, I too love the comfort of those cable voices giving me hope—from time to time—that we have a vigilant media. Wake up America! We do NOT have a vigilant media: we have a cowed group of self-interested entrepreneurs who measure success in dollars rather than the truth. Come on, do you really think Cutsie Katie Couric is interested in the health and welfare (whoops, sorry—this is a naughty word—people who need welfare are entirely at fault, lazy slobs!) of the People of the United States of America? My humble suggestions are as follows:
Susan Lynch Subject: Getting Played Dear BuzzFlash; Many letters in your Mailbag have pointed out how easy it would be for the GOP to manipulate critics with this 'port deal.' Some people have even suggested that liberals have already been played by the GOP propaganda ministry. Major accusations already thrown out by the FOX-educated to prop up the GOP's 'port deal' is racism and 'xenophobia.' Add to that the recent 'anger-management' meme and you have the perfect concoction of deflection and victimization the GOP live for. If we call it what it really is, we can help people stay focused on the important issues. If we refer to this issue as the "Secret Carlyle-Ports Trade" we can remind people of the failures of this GOP Administration. By using the word 'secret' we remind people that this trade-off is just another example of the GOP's dislike of accountability and democracy. By using the word 'Carlyle', we can remind people of the cronyism that is essential to the GOP. For those who know what the Carlyle Group is, they can make the connection. For those who don't; they may become enlightened. By using the phrase 'ports trade' we can remind people that what is occurring is a trade (not a 'deal'). The GOP is trading one thing for another: the Carlyle Group gains, while ports (and National Security) lose. By using the word 'deal' we make it sound fair. Nothing made in secret can be fair. A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: How could Rumsfeld, Rice et ilk NOT know about port deal? It was approved by The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States ("CFIUS"). CFIUS is a committee of 12 members, including: Secretary of Treasury (Chairman of CFIUS) (John Snow). Secretary of State (Condi Rice). Secretary of Defense (Donald Rumsfeld). Secretary of Homeland Security (Michael Chertoff). Secretary of Commerce. Attorney General (Alberto Gonzales). Director of the Office of Management and Budget. U.S. Trade Representative. Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. It was these twelve CFIUS members that approved the Dubai deal putting six major ports in the US into foreign hands. So how can Rice, Rumsfeld, Snow and Chertoff now claim they didn't know nuthin about it? How can their committee approve a deal without their votes? It's at least plausible that President Bush was totally clueless (but I doubt it), but how can the 12 member CFIUS committee approve a deal when four of the committee's members claim they weren't even aware of it? Isn't that impossible? Lawmakers Balk at Dubai Foreign Control of US Ports (AXcess News) A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: Republican accusations of Democratic racism; the pot calling the kettle anti-black ...or at least anti-differently colored. This new charge of racism in the matter of The Dubai company controlling our ports is just tragically farcical, in demonstrating how the Reps just don't get it about racism. It recalls their confusion and frustration over Lott's forced ouster over what they regard as just a slip of the tongue--Novak had a column not too long ago wherein he repeated this view--while Hillary got a total by when she referenced a token of our country's tortured history with race. (oh! did I really type the word "token"?!?!? Righties, please forgive my obvious racism!) CONTEXT IS ALL, RACIST REPUBLICAN JERKS! This is paraphrasing what the senators said, IN THEIR CONTEXT: Hillary:The minority in Congress is being treated like slaves on the plantation, and that's BAD! Lott:If Strom had won, we'd be running things like we did on the plantation, and that's GOOD! Cory Hinman city-st: Subject: Written by a Republican -Thank you, Jesus This is one of more clear, forthright descriptions of the consequences for the U.S. and the rest of world created by George W. Bush and his administration supported by the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate and backed by millions of American voters who seem hell-bent to destroy our nation by that support. ... As I read the article, I was again reminded that the consequences described are those that many of us identified in that period of time just following the 9/11 attacks on the US if our nation was thoughtless to the point of attacking another nation without recognizing the overwhelming international evidence that terrorism is a means, not necessarily of governments, but of ideological and otherwise powerless masses rising against what they perceive as power using the most effective means and resources at their disposal - mass terror and humans. He can be reached at:
Sam Conant Hi Buzz,
Oh I see, suddenly Congress and the Constitution are very important! Well guys, you put the Constitution through a paper shredder a long time ago and Congress is all but nullified. Tough luck! And by the way, how come it took them this long to come up with this theory? If it's so unconstitutional, why didn't these astute lawyers pick it up immediately? What a sham. Barbara in NYC Subject: Lou Dobbs Have any of you Buzzers been watching Lou Dobbs on CNN? Well let me tell you the man has gotten serious about real journalism. He really makes them answer his questions, when they try to skirt around the issue also. He just keeps hammering away at them until they answer. I used to watch him a while back once in a while but he became such a backer of Bush, but he has done a complete turnaround, and has a very interesting show. Hope he keeps up the good work and doesn't get fired. A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: David Sanborn I'm surprised you haven't focused attention on David Sanborn, who worked for DP Co. and his recent appointment by Bush, and former Senator Bob Dole's role as lobbyist for DP Co. Is Senator Kerry the only one who has pulled these threads together? A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: A Tale of Two Quotes Senators Say Ports Deal Raises Risks Earlier, President Bush declared that "people don't need to worry about security." "I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees." –President Bush, on "Good Morning America," Sept. 1, 2005, six days after repeated warnings from experts about the scope of damage expected from Hurricane Katrina. Mike Curtis, Subject: Thank You! Go Buzz - Stand up for the Constitution [Re There is No Choice "C" in the Battle to Restore Democracy to America (a BuzzFlash Editorial)] I've been a BUZZ reader from almost day one. I admire your work, your words and your strength in fighting the good fight. Let the cowards leave.... A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: BUZZFLASH unsubscriptions Stop and think a minute--you know the way things work on the far-far right. These people who are are sending you notes to tell you that you are too tough on Bushism signed up just so they could do this and try to change you. You are my best news source, the one I open first. I am sending your address to everyone I can think of and a check to you. I wish it could be more. By the way Salon just published a news?? story about how UAE doesn't really want to be cuddled with the Taliban--obviously the opening propaganda PR from UAE to convince us to turn our security over to them. I'd really like to know why Salon just published it as news without comment. I know I can count on you to know the difference between propaganda and news. Thanks for hanging in! Edith M. Conrad "Some BuzzFlash alert readers have canceled their free subscriptions because they think that we are too cynical and too harsh on Bushevism." TOO CYNICAL & TOO HARSH ON BUSHEVISM?!?? Not a chance. Please keep it up. No need to make excuses. I'd shmear you with cash if I had any. I rely on you. A grateful reader. Martha R. Darcy The people who are canceling and calling you cynical, etc., shouldn't be reading BuzzFlash in the first place, they simply do not understand the critical state the USA is in under Bush and his gang. Furthermore, most of them don't care. Keep up the good work you do, we need your views to reach as many as possible, someone has to do it, Congress certainly doesn't care. A BuzzFlash Reader "Some BuzzFlash alert readers have canceled their free subscriptions because they think that we are too cynical and too harsh on Bushevism" Now that's a good one! Too harsh on Bushevism? It is not possible to be too harsh on Bushevism. Keep up the great work. Guy James Subject: Chris Matthews matthews on friday's show 2/24, said that pres. bush was like atticus finch [from to kill a mockingbird] standing up to the mob on this port deal. somehow i think harper lee is rolling over in her grave thinking of this comparison. matthews is the biggest ass kisser of this president and also john mccain. mike stroh Subject: Marvin Bush Will Ride Again George W. wasn't made aware of the UAE ports deal because it involved the UAE and its parent company: The Carlyle Group. Carlyle Group "unimpeachable." End of story. Almost. Dubai Ports World is a state-owned company. Many of the business entities we do business with in China are state-owned companies. Yet the Bush Administration never -- and I mean never -- uses its rarely questioned philosophy of supporting privately-owned "entrepreneurial initiative" over state-owned "government-regulated inefficiency" in outsourcing services overseas to state-run businesses. Why is this? Why is the grass always greener on the other side of the ocean? Will somebody eventually have the balls to even question Cheney or his lemmings about this double-standard -- much less get a non-evasive answer? Otherwise, it'll just continue to be another hypocrisy the Busheviks continue to sell successfully to a pliant nation and a dozing Congress. The Administration will still make that deal with DPA; you won't even be able to get Vegas odds on it. And look for Marvin Bush to "oversee" security for the ports DPW eventually gets to run. Don't waste your money betting against that, either. Sound achingly familiar? You might want to rent the 80's hit TV movie "Special Bulletin" from your video store to see what an A-bomb going off in an American harbor looks like. Better yet, wait for the digitally-restored "High-Definition" DVD version of the movie with Iranians morphed in as extras. "Hi-Def" DVD will now come to mean "never ask embarrassing questions if you know what's good for you." The technology is not as important as the message, anyway. After all, who are you going to believe: Bush -- or your own lying eyes? Frank Stellagh Subject: Re: Saturday's Top Five BuzzFlash Headlines Good riddance to them - I applaud BuzzFlash for telling it like it is! Thank you. Kathy BuzzFlash, I think that your web site is MOST important for democracy. Please keep up the good Is there any way to get Bill Moyers' latest speech on Democracy (from Calif this week) on Bill Moyers: Regaining the public trust 2/26 S R Walker I don't think you are too cynical or harsh. In fact, I think your cynicism and harshness is just right. A BuzzFlash Reader Your daily reminders are on target. You only report the facts, then add personal, passionate responses. GOP news is so shocking on a routine basis, how can thinking Americans not respond in a negative way? Loretta Dabbs Subject: Re a Saturday Update Don't stop what you are doing! Great, factual writing - which is (sadly) refreshing to read. The problem is that standards have been lowered, and what some consider is "too harsh" should be the mainstream reporting on the reality of things with this administration. Keep up the great work! Leslie Weise Subject: terrorism Hey, folks, do not be surprised if we are "attacked" again, coincidentally, just before the 2006 and 2008 elections! Karl is working hard. Or, even better, after Democrats win the House and Senate in 2006, it would not surprise me one bit if we are "attacked." Karl is into the Long Term Plan. A setback for him in 2006 will not mean a thing! Surely, I am not the only one making a connection here! Anne Perretta Too harsh on BushCo????!!!!??? Can't believe that anyone smart enough to sign up for Alerts in the first place is stupid enough to think that now. Cynical, you bet! Anyone who is now living in the USA and is NOT cynical has not been paying attention. Suicidal is more like it these days. I fear we are doomed. Patricia Victour Subject: Re the Fleeing Souls Dear BuzzFlash, I am indeed a little sorry (only a little indeed) to hear of the "fleeing souls" of free subscribers. I will try to get you at least 40K subscribers (tsk, tsk, tsk). But your own 'response' of /Feb. 25th is so a-la-BuzzFlash with dignified defiance and enormous eloquence to make a humble person so proud of the soundness of your selfless cause -- speak truth to America for its own survival. By all means, let the "fleeing souls" hear no more. The term "enablers" whispers volumes. You almost have to feel a sense of sadness for these dear departing ones for they must truly be very frightened. The biggest of these elements must be their own personal denials of how the great American experience is being buffeted, muddied and mauled on the national and international stages by the dalliance of Bushevik and the Repugnants. It must be most disconcerting to look within their timid and shallow souls to face that their great country and the democratic experiment is so mired. By George, many of them even voted for this man. And He (the royal and the deity) and His cult of incompetence grand style are so unfairly being picked on from these disloyal, unpatriotic American elites, and common folks, and frenchified foreigners all, all, all, ALL the time -- endless griping, effete exaggeration, unChristian charity, Mrs. M. L. King funeral disrespectees and apologists, hyperLiberal media and blog degenerates, antiAmerican jokerism, fraternal worldwide terrorists proponents, antiglobal warming lobbyists cabal, now anti-UAE racists no less. He/our George W. is our president and the world and our fellow-questioning Americans be dammed. To doubt our George W. is to tell me, no less, I am/was wrong and not a true American. This will not stand. Do YOU not feel our pride (and .... pain?)? Oh, their inner turmoil and gnashing of doubts must be coming akin to a raging insanity of perfect-storm proportions; thus only denials and "fleeing soul" status will bring peace and quiet in the midst of soothing recants of "By George and God, we are the ....... well, we just are the ........." Best regards, R. Daniels Subject: "Utopia Lost" Re Andrew L. Yarrow's op-ed piece in Saturday's Los Angeles Times. Yarrow points out that not only was our nation built on utopian dreams, but that right now we need them more than ever. While the author doesn't inform us as to where or how this our much needed but currently bottled-up utopian dreams, it looks like what's going to happen, when the "genie" comes out, is that there's going to be this universal chorus of "Who would have believed it? Change the world? Count me in." A BuzzFlash Reader "Too cynical & too harsh" on the Bush thugs? Anyone that could accuse you (or anyone) of that is nothing more than a Bush apologist who bristles at facts and reality. I hope you understand that those that cancelled (their subscriptions) were Bush disciples whose only goal is to suppress those that dare speak the truth. You are doing an excellent service! Please do not be swayed by the GOP Busheviks - remember, they are allergic to unvarnished truth!! Moriah Mattingly Jones Subject: ANOTHER fundraiser... Seems to me that those who shoe-horned Bush into office were derelict in their duty to inform him that being president was more than: 1) taking vacations 2) photo-ops 3) spending time cracking 'jokes' about WMDs... 4) spending time fundraising for fellow Republicans (is it my imagination or what...when there were no fundraisers to be at, Bush spent the time on vacation ( ? ).... 5)...not to mention, I think those PDBs that Bush is supposed to be paying attention to are more than a 'gd piece of paper..'...no? Is ANYBODY reading those? Maybe George could just openly acknowledge Cheney as president, and go from there......after all, he and Laura, girls, and entourage would still get to fly AF2.... A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: [Forwarded] Re: Saturday's Top Five BuzzFlash Headlines Read the article and see if you want to sign up for BuzzFlash. I know they send off a lot of e-mails, and you can always delete them, but it sure helps to keep us informed on the important issues that are confronting this country and the way that the Bushies continue to rape this country that you never hardly read in the newspapers, or hear on the news. These are things that affect us all, and what this administration is doing, and the continuous criminal attacks on our democracy. Hope I have not scared any of you away. Please forward this to your friends. A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: Top 11 FBI Questions for Morrissey Buzz, http://brandoland.blogspot.com/ FBI have interviewed me: Morrissey (Sydney Morning Herald) Brendan Smith Subject: no child left behind Hi, Buzz!! This morning I attended a meeting of our county Democrats; we heard from our candidate for the Kansas State Board of Education (before you ask, he has his head on straight: "Science class should be about science, not religion."). His wife teaches fifth grade, and said one of her kids had this to say about No Child Left Behind: NCLB really stands for "No Child Likes Bush." Out of the mouths of babes and infants!!!!! Jane Hawes Subject: Give UAE the airports, too, while you're at it Heck of a idea for g.w. How about the UAE could do American airports as well? Bush brags he's kept America safe since 9/11. But 9/11 happened ON his "watch," remember? All I can say is that Shirley Smith has spoken with 100% more clarity on an off day than bush ever has on his best. Liz Walker Subject: Cancelled Subscriptions I am sorry to hear that readers are deserting because they think BuzzFlash is too hard on the Busheviks. I just want you to know that I look forward to my BuzzFlash news each and every day and think you folks are doing a top notch job. Keep up the good work! Jain Tremmel Subject: Everyone Ready? Seems like it's about to happen, judging from last Friday's BuzzFlash, headlines, Mailbag and all. Not just the usual breathtaking analysis, but out of the blue there's this proposal which just might be what we've all been looking for. It's about setting up a communication hub that somehow (perhaps magically) reaches out to and connects with everyone, no exceptions; and which exists solely for the purpose of changing the world. Not a bad jump-start, not bad at all. Keep 'em coming. Getting Blues Involved (BuzzFlash Mailbag) A BuzzFlash Reader Keep up the good work. BuzzFlash is one of the few sources of progressive, unbiased news. Do not get discouraged by the apathy that has overtaken this country. Unfortunately, we have historically been plagued by a general lack of consciousness by the majority in this country. It is sources of information like BuzzFlash that may remedy this situation. A BuzzFlash Reader Hang in there. I couldn't get thru the day without you. I have turned on others to this fine website as well. Thank you. Lynn Larson You guys rock!! I don't think you're too cynical or harsh - NO ONE IS **HARSH ENOUGH** ON THE EVIL BUSH DYNASTY!!!!! But some people just don't want to hear the truth cause they might have to act on it. thank you thank you for all you do - I can't sign up for alerts again but I will send money! Becky Kellogg "Some BuzzFlash alert readers have canceled their free subscriptions because they think that we are too cynical and too harsh on Bushevism. ... but the cowards and those who seek comfort over liberty are welcome to leave anytime." KUDOS! And, HUZZAH! Liberty, freedom and democracy were worth a fight for the Continental Army. We, at BuzzFlash, believe so too. Since it seems that you have interest in and appreciation for that army's enormous contribution, you might enjoy reading a piece of mine on the Web site of which I'm co-creator: http://www.RevWar75.com/ob/newburgh.htm Thanks for all you do! Your work IS having significant impact in this American crisis. Cheers, Dear BuzzFlash: I just read that some of your readers are un-subscribing to your newsletters. I think there will always be some people who will choose to never let serious information like what is happening within our government sink into their minds (head-in-sand syndrome) what is now happening in the USA. Most likely this will happen out of fear. Lately in the news is the monitoring and listening to ordinary citizens, by the government, of their emails and phones, etc. There will always be a segment of society who will be too afraid to choose to recognize the truth. Simply out of fear. The good news: The truth can and will and does set the people free. The good thing is that the majority of your readers are staying. There is so much more to what is happening in this world. We see and read and hear what "they" want us to see and hear and read. It is so much bigger than a lunatic person named George W. Bush. He is just one of many. And if you think about it, he is a puppet to an even higher level who gives the orders. Like many of your readers, let's continue digging to find the real truth. We each have to pick our battles. ... There is more and more and more. Read about it. This should help each person to come to a conclusion of truth for themselves. We then know what to do. One thing for sure, don't get suckered into their devious ways- burying your heads in the sand. Dolores M. Dryden Subject: Bush family policy Americans, wake up. Back in Chicago, the police had a saying: "A leopard never changes its spots." Look at the history of the Bush family. Their fortune is founded on the slave trade in the seventeen hundreds. They sold arms and ammunition to both sides in the Civil War. They sold arms and ammunition to Germany after the outbreak of BOTH WWI and WWII. They make their money from CONFLICT AND CATASTROPHE. Remember, conflict and catastrophe. Bush cut 67 million from the levee budget in New Orleans, AND HIS FRIENDS MADE 42 BILLION DOLLARS FROM THE ENSUING CATASTROPHE. Why then, would they support turning over control of our ports to supporters of Al Qaeda? Because they make their money off CONFLICT and CATASTROPHE. Why would they pursue a policy of military coercion in the Islamic world, when anyone can see a friend can succeed where a bully cannot? Simple, they make their money from CONFLICT and CATASTROPHE, NOT PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE. When you see dysfunction where simple communication would suffice, when you see policies that create tragedy, look for the Bush family. Look for them in government secrecy, look for them in arms sales. The only weapons of mass destruction Saddam ever had were sold to him by Rumsfeld and Cheney, who approved of his gassing of thousands of his own people. The Bush Administration is not in the business of solving problems, they're in control of creating problems. If anyone doubts this, let them explain how there were more votes than registered voters in Ohio and Alaska. Just a word to the wise... Marty Weiss Subject: Our Manchurian President After he's sold our security to the U.A.E. for a pot of gold and a barrel of oil, as to and for the rest of us, what chance? Our ports get blown up, that's what chance. Why would he care? He won't be hurt. . . A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: The backbone is lost again for good Dear BuzzFlash, What happened to the backbone that Harry Reid has found amid shouts of happiness and jubilation. It is obvious after the fiasco of judge Alito that the backbone is lost forever. The Democratic party is dead and it is time for for a new populist party. A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: You're the BUZZ - listen to your heart "Some BuzzFlash alert readers have canceled their free subscriptions because they think that we are too cynical and too harsh on Bushevism." The first thing I open every day is BuzzFlash. I love your articles and Barbara's and Mailbag. Where else can we go to get the truth? Certainly not from TV or newspapers ... I've gotten several friends from Vermont (I say friends - have never met them but they're not Bushies ) to take your newsletter just from my sending them some of the articles that are really apropos to what's going on in our USofA ... also on that list is a guy from England but will be moving here to the US soon ...far as I can tell, there's one (1) Repug on the list and they give him heck ... I'm 74, live in Doraville, GA (less than an hour from the 'Barb' that wants to get out of Athens, GA) ... don't blame her for that. My g'daughter is a sophomore at Florida State Univ. and is so over the zillions of Repugs there ... Don't ever stop your column due to criticism ... there are just those people that live in a tunnel visioned state of mind and want to stay there with no interference from anyone... so I say, "tell them to go back to their world and we'll stay in ours and fight til we win" ... and with God willing and the crick don't rise, it should be soon. Much PEACE, Jean B. Stowe Subject: This Presidency Stinks George W Bush's refusal to back down on the UAE take over of US ports is finally proof that he bought into the global economy concept from the beginning of his criminal and disgusting administration. This concept is a manifest endorsed by the Carlyle Group that has several members of the Bush family as members. We had warnings early in his administration, with a growing and constant loss of jobs in America and with the Corporate Elitists shifting manufacturing offshore. Corporate America has no allegiance to this country and money is the only driving force in their decisions. In 2000 the Carlyle needed a compliant dumb ass like GWB to gain access to the presidency. Dick Cheney appointed himself as Vice President to control their aims. Karl Rove then created simplistic issues to satisfy the working middle class, to mask their intent to take over this country. The Diebold "No paper trail" voting and the voting corruption in Florida also contributed to the takeover of GWB. Following the election they created the ultimate diversion with the War on Terror. With the Presidency, and a complicit GOP congress, they have managed to secure the needs of the corporate bandits in this country. British Prime Minister Tony Blair also bought into the program, with his support for the war against terrorism and the invasion of Iraq. This added legitimacy to the Bush crime administration. France and Germany didn't buy the deal and had the pride in country to tell the Carlyle Group to take a hike. This brain dead President, and his seedy puppet masters have finally pushed their agenda to far. The American people are now awakening to the truly corrupt nature of this Presidency. Ken Evanger Subject: What if ....
How often has Bu$h brought his position into disrepute??????? WOULD IT NOT BE GREAT if we could at least fine and suspend him???? Those Brits are on to something. Clifford Dear Buzz.... To those former Buzzers who choose to abandon the ship of sanity and truth....Too bad for you. The VOICE OF REASON WILL CONTINUE TO EXPOSE THE CRIMINAL AND TREASONOUS BEHAVIOR OF THIS PATHETIC, ARROGANT GOVERNMENT we so incredulously suffer under right now. You are either part of the solution or part of the problem, and you are obviously part of the problem. Goodbye and to hell with your new found party and way of life. You make me very angry. Viva BuzzFlash...and Thank You BuzzFlash for being a candle in the dark. I am going now to commit some cash to your very existence. I suggest everyone else do the same. Today. Richard Wagner Did you consider that those who complained about BF being too shrill were nothing but GOP shills? A BuzzFlash Reader Good work!! Stick by your stance. Outrage is justified. Steve It is called "fire in the belly" ... Don't change BuzzFlash! Be who you are! Love it! A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: Response to today's pledge I can't thank you enough for my being a subscriber for the past few years.......as we have like minds and are in sync with our opinions and beliefs.........and it disturbs me that you mentioned you have lost so many cowardly readers....... No such thing......instead, it gave me less access to the medical treatment available, putting me in a worse and plummeting direction..........in addition to the disrespect of doctors and hospitals with their attitudes of gov't sponsored medical care and treated me (and all patients on gov't sponsored healthcare) without value of being human........ Jesus! Wha'd they say? Who gives a s**t? I think you provide news we don't get anywhere else with style and panache. If some weak sisters complain, who cares? They clearly don't understand what is going on. DON'T QUIT!!! I suspect you have the courage not to. This is a fight for Democracy not Tiddlywinks. Those who object may survive because of their milk-toast exterior, but not because of their courage or freedom of thought. Rip 'em a new a****le BF, for one, I am behind you. A BuzzFlash Reader Subject Desperate Times ... Keep up the good work! I agree with your use of American history for the current conditions. Here is another: the Civil War would never have happened if it were not for the dedication, agitation, propaganda of the abolitionists. Initially ridiculed, scorned as crazy and even killed; they continued to do the work that needed to be done to change the consciousness of the American people that slavery must be destroyed. Two years after they killed John Brown; thousands of Northern soldiers marched off to die singing "John Brown's Body." Peace, Michael Just want to say - good on you guys- you do terrific work and must get lots of flak from COINTELPRO, so stick to your "guns" and keep the torch of truth lit.... kind regards, jacqueline dollard CLICK HERE FOR PART 2 OF THE FEBRUARY 27, 2006 BUZZFLASH MAILBAG
