Subject: Could the Supreme Court Stop Investigations into Bush?

Open letter to Elizabeth Holtzman

The article written by Elizabeth Holtzman, The Impeachment of George W. Bush 1/12,
is the very best I have ever read on why it is absolutely necessary to impeach Bush. She also helped me and other citizens by telling us what we should be doing. We are doing all those things. I'm involved with the groups that she mentioned at the end of the article.

I'm worried about something. I might be off my rocker. I hope so.

What if Alito gets the position in our courts and then finally Democrats push to get the investigations till Republicans can no longer ignore, but Bush says he is busy keeping this country safe. We are in a war -- don't we know that.

I even worry that they are so nuts that they might make sure that they are busy with something terrible in order to prove their point that Bush is too busy with security issues to be involved in an investigation. But even without that, just that they use terrorism for every excuse or anything they do, and to control people that dissent, is dangerous enough.

What if somehow this ends up before the Supreme Court and Supreme Court decides that during a time of war when a President is protecting the country, investigations are out of the question because the President has more important things on his mind ...

... with Alito making sure that decision is handed down.

Is this possible? Before you say no ... remember, a Supreme Court that is not nearly as radical as the one now decided to appoint Bush president illegally. Who would have ever thought that was possible in the United States? They literally took the election out of the hands of the voters.

I feel strongly that before the confirmation hearings of Alito began, the Democrats should have insisted on the investigations. After all, they shut down the Senate because they were being stonewalled. That was before Thanksgiving. At that time, investigations were promised.

Where are they? Why are they doing Alito first? Everything should stop till we get these other matters taken care of because Mr. Bush is stacking the Supreme Court, and if he is impeached, we might save our children from this mess which will be in our supreme court for the next 20-30 years.

And, I really believe that they are going to use Alito to try to stop any investigations. Am I wrong? I hope you tell me that can't happen.

If you have a president who is continually, blatantly breaking the laws, you do not allow him to have his choice of Justice.

Period.

Can you send this on to Elizabeth Holtzman and thank her so much for her article. It meant so much to we citizens to know we are on the right track with the things we are doing.

That poll made a difference, didn't it? That one that said if bush lied us into war, should he be impeached? That was all done by my friend, Donna Cinelli. She used afterdowingstreet.org group because she figured if people donated, they would feel better about giving to someone they know. But it was her brainstorm. She's just a grassroots citizen like most of us, and because of that poll, I believe that is why our Democratic Senators felt empowered to close down the Senate to demand investigation, which happened right after that.

I hope that if this is possible - that the Courts could stop investigation into the president - that there is a huge article about it, so our Senators figure out that you impeach him before you appoint anyone.

They should say it just that way -- LOOK, WE HAVE A PRESIDENT OUT OF CONTROL WHO ADMITTED HE IS BREAKING LAWS. THEREFORE, NO ONE SHOULD BE APPOINTED TO THE SUPREME COURT UNTIL WE HAVE INVESTIGATIONS.

Maybe if someone writes it, our Senators can stop it from happening.

Also, just one more remark -- we can't change Congress, because of the voting machines. Even Democrats are not getting this. I read an article yesterday that said -- WHAT PART OF THIS SENTENCE ARE PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTANDING. "DIEBOLD IS HACKABLE." (By the way, Abramoff donated money to Diebold. The copy of the check is at blackboxvoting.org - or if you cannot find it, contact me -- I saved it.)

When we had the red shift which turned Kerry's wins into Bush wins and Bush loss into Kerry's loss is when, even with all the other cheating, they switched the votes. If you want to see the video of how it was done, I have it. Howard Dean was able to switch an election in just a couple of minutes.

ONE PERSON CAN TURN AN ELECTION UPSIDE DOWN -- UNDETECTED.

We are in a catch 22. We can't get rid of the e-voting machines until we get rid of the corrupt officials and we cannot get rid of them till we get rid of the machines.

Please someone - help us, we the people. I'm not alone with this. We have many of us been doing whatever we can, and we need someone to write an article to tell our senators that you do not give a man a choice of who is to be a justice that breaks laws. The investigation simply must come before any more appointments to the Supreme Court.

Thanks for your time in reading this.

Do ya 'spose the repugs are even thinking about how the precedents set by bush are going to play out when we get a democratic president? Or even better, a democratic president with a democratic congress.

Ask conservative repugs to imagine President Clinton still being in office during the 9/11 attacks and running our country the way bush has. I doubt you would get an honest answer from any of 'em though.

Subject: Alito/Bush has played the Race card!

Dear Buzzers,

What makes us all so angry is that Alito played the Race card when he applied for a job with the Reagan/Bush administration, just as Poppy Bush and Dubya Bush played the Race card when they ran for office EVERY TIME.

And Alito has played it again with the help of the entire group of Republican ninnies who are exploiting this. This is the coded message, to the Racists who were instrumental in Princeton History, that Alito is one of them. It had to come up in the hearings. Otherwise, how could he play it?

Filibuster, filibuster, filibuster! This is not acceptable to us! Democrats on the Justice Committee, and Democrats and Independents and all good Republicans … hear this and let Alito not be our legacy!

There is no way that Alito does not remember anything he did and wrote in this Princeton instance, and yet remembers all the details without notes of all these cases that he keeps talking about.

Call your Senators and let them know you know what is going on, and you regard it as despicable and deplorable and (unlike the forgetful Alito) you will remember it when they run for office if they let this man be confirmed.

Hi BuzzFlash,

Connecticut knows all about Ethics (or the lack thereof), after Fmr. Gov. Johnny Rowland had to Resign - Or Get Impeached. He then went to the slammer. If you picture Rowland as Cheney and The Tomasso Company as Halliburton, with All The No-Bid Contracts, I think you'll get the jest of what went on back then in CT.

With that said, The Journal Inquirer says that Reps. Blunt and Cantor are not fit for leadership!!

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) questions the House commitment to eradicating corruption!!

What?? And have politicians give up getting ALL THAT BRIBE MONEY FROM LOBBYISTS???

How dare they take those $$$$$ away!!

Ethically Challenged Reps. Blunt and Cantor Not Fit For Leadership; CREW Questions House Commitment to Eradicating Corruption (JournalInquirer.com/U.S. Newswire)

WASHINGTON, Jan. 12 /U.S. Newswire/ -- With calls for ethics and lobbying reform finally sweeping Capitol Hill, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) urged the Republican Caucus to reject unethical candidates for leadership posts. Specifically, CREW asks the Caucus to reject acting Majority Leader Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), who is vying to keep his position, and Rep. Eric I. Cantor (R-Va.), the current Chief Deputy Majority Whip, who is running for Majority Whip.

Reps. Blunt and Cantor have continually demonstrated poor judgment regarding ethics issues, according to CREW. For example, both men, along with Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) and former Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas), signed a letter at the behest of convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff, that benefited an Abramoff client, the Louisiana-based Coushatta Tribe. The letter was sent to Interior Secretary Gale Norton.

The first buzzreader regarding Sandra Day O'Connor. We all know she decided the election for Bush....but, when the election was first called for Gore....she was at a party....and said, "Sh**....now I will have to stay on 8 more years," (I was not there, but it has been told a thousand times, by people who were.). It had been long known that she had wanted to retire...but, must have sold her soul to the devil...and promised to stay on until they could at least try to overturn Roe v Wade. At any rate....when the election finally went to the Supremes, she was the deciding vote.

We all know that flip flopping back and forth kept everyone guessing if she was democrat of republican....but, what she did...was a plan...just like everything else has been. Alito will take her place...only more on the republican side....and likely, somehow, someway....this will come up and the Supreme court will have to decide...and that will do it!

Notice....she waited until Bush won his second term? In his fifth year....she announced her retirement... So, here we are ... just like it was all planned!

Did anyone except me notice the little catch Lindsay Graham got in his throat, when he apologized to the Alitos? He did...it actually sounded like he was going to cry, too. Sounds like a cue and a plan to me!

Subject: Silent Holocaust Among Us

Greetings again BuzzFlash and Buzzers,

This is to issue a DIRECT and heartfelt sincere THANK YOU to both BuzzFlash for printing one of the letters in the Mailbag, and especially to a Mr. J L Scott, who identifies himself as Director of iCop.

Mr. Scott, you are so right about the experiments on children happening right here in this, our very own country. I became interested in this myself when I witnessed firsthand a series of abuses on poor people by the agency known as Child Protective Services and eventually went on to become a research assistant for the President of American Family Rights Association, Cheri Campbell. For anyone who is interested in this topic you can find what I and the other research assistants discovered at ReliableAnswers.com. Look up ChildAbuse-Aids Experiment and read firsthand the articles written by Liam Scheff on the Administration of Children's Services in New York unlawfully seizing children from poor black and hispanic families that were supposedly HIV positive. They were placed in a hell hole full of horrors and subjected to twice or more times the amount for adults of highly toxic aids drugs. Many children died, but the attendants were told if the children had diarrhea, fell down, got sick or started vomiting, it wasn't the meds, it was their illness.

This went on since the early eighties and the studies were funded by the National Institutes of Health for the big pharma GlaxoSmithKline. Families that didn't give the drugs had their children seized immediately and were threatened if they didn't sign documents they would never see these children again. Children who refused the drugs were taken to a downtown hospital and had a feeding tube inserted. One doctor admitted under oath "when it came to compliance, we were like Nazis."

People, unfortunately, this is still going on. Mr. Scott cited several states who are involved in the experimentation programs. California is also a part of this organized crime operation. You should probably know that one woman I spoke with underground told me that if a child is in state custody and dies, their organs can be harvested. In Corporate America today children are a lucrative industry. Gladney International Adoption Agency who have a reputation for ruthless practices made Laura and Barbara Bush honored women, and poured money into Jeb Bush and George Bush's coffers to try and push for legislation that would shorten the time a biological parent's rights could be terminated. Look up licenced agencies working with Child Protective Services and you will find that across the nation they are ALL adoption agencies. Also, for more on this subject please look up the article "Guinea Pig Kids" by British Broadcasting Journalist Jamie Doran, and please see FightCPS.com and CPSWATCH.com as well as AFRA (American Family Rights Association) Newshawk page for an eyeful of the families suffering under abusive legislation. You might also want to research the documentary that Dr. Gary Nulls has been putting together exposing abuse in the social services divisions across the country and big pharma's role in the atrocities. Don't believe me? Look it up for yourself

Subject: Re: Wings of Justice - David Letterman

I would like to state my agreement with Liz Taylor (1/12 mailbag) regarding the person that said David Letterman sounded like an ass because he said he never watches O'Reilly.  In addition to all of the venues Liz mentions where one can hear O'Reilly - does this person not know that you can read anything and everything that O'Reilly says on any one of hundreds of websites, such as the one you're reading now.  It's websites like this, who print what these buffoons say everyday - Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, you name it.  I've never watched O'Reilly in my life and I think 100% of what he says is crap.  I know of what I speak - I've read it all.  Maybe Dave has too.

Sorry, but he's not an ass, and I think he was a great choice for Wings of Justice.  Sometimes it's good to honor show biz people like that - they have very wide reach and their audiences are very influenced by them.  Well, I thank God for the people (like Buzz) who do suffer through watching and listening to these troglodytes and post it on the web so that I don't have to suffer through it.  I thank all of them for that.

Hi gang,

Gore to deliver scathing speech Monday on constitutional crisis in Washington. The guy has the truth blowing through him, but the mainstream media and DLC will dismiss him as they play Neville Chamberlain to Bush. Al Gore, thank you, thank you, thank you. 1/13 (Raw Story)

I know the MSM already has their talking points all ready to roll out for this one - "He's insane!" "He's gone off the deep end again!" "He's irrelevant!" "He should be in a mental institution!" "He's off his meds!" "He's hearing voices in his head!"

Bring it on fools! I for one can't wait to hear what Al has to say.

Subject: The Democratic Party

I have just sent the following to www.democrats.org.

I am a 63 year old Democrat who has voted in every election since I was 21. I have consistently voted a straight Democratic ticket.

Up until now I thought this party was best suited to espouse the best interests of the country. I was appalled when the Green Party ran Ralph Nader for President in 2000 and allowed GWB to steal the election.

This view has now changed. From all reports I have read in the news and on the Internet I have come to the conclusion that "MY Party" will allow Alito to be rammed down our throats and be confirmed as a Supreme Justice. From this I can only assume that "MY Party" has lost the balls to compete against the GOP.

As a result of this I will make the following statement. If "MY Party" fails to filibuster Alito's nomination I will NEVER vote for another Democrat in any election. Instead I will vote in every election for whichever Green Party or Independent is running. I realize that I only have one vote but I will will use whatever influence I have with friends and neighbors to do the same.

It has become apparent to me that Mr. Nader was right in 2000 when he said that "MY Party" was just the same as the GOP. It seems to be a fact that "MY Party" has lost the will to compete and is instead interested only in the corporate money and to HELL with the little people.

But all of this really doesn't matter since with Alito on the Supreme Court "MY Party" will have ceased to exist.

Being a Democrat in Texas has not been easy in the past few years. When John Kerry ran for President in 2004 "MY Party" didn't even have a place in Dallas where I could get a bumper sticker.

MY Party has deserted me and everyone in this country. I hope you prove me wrong and do lead a filibuster but I have quit believing in MY Party.

Here in Texas we have an election next year. Instead of voting in the Democratic Party Primary, I will instead support either Carol Strayhorn or Kinky Friedman.

In closing, I feel that you have deserted me and everyone who has supported you for the past 60 years. I further predict that I am not the only Democrat that feels this way. By your failure to act YOU have killed MY Party.

From a past Yellow Dog Democrat.

I suggest that all readers of BuzzFlash take the same action. If WE don't get a grassroots movement started then the party is truly as DEAD as all the freedoms our forefather fought for.

Subject: Just a Few Observations

Mrs. Alito crying? What a bunch of staged bull****!

Alito hearings? Folks we are screwed!

Cable news calls it "Bush bashing" but he takes the "Democrats out behind the woodshed" and he also "takes them to task."

Dems will not stop Alito appointment to include forgoing the filibuster.

Due to Republicans redistricting and failure to correct the voting process by Democrats we might gain one or two seats if we are damned lucky, but do not bet the kids' college fund on it.

Bush still has gazillions of supporters and most of Americans just do not really give a sh** one way or another.

Bush's illegal wiretapping on Americans has been turned into a debate on wiretapping, not on the crime he has committed. Polls say most citizens think legal wiretapping is justified. The media is responsible for giving bush an out on this one.

Lobbyists run our nation and will until they are outlawed which will be the proverbial cold day in you know where!

Yes I will march on Washington again, but only if I see proof of support. I have spent money and time hanging my ass out as an activist only to find little actual support from those who talk a good story. They simply do not show up as promised.

Citizens only get outraged when they have no money to have a good time on and gasoline prices go through the roof. Bush's poll ratings went to hell during $3.00 a gallon gasoline. Until then he was hunky dory!

Our party has too many damned "dixiecrats" even in blue states and they are not above sabotage as proven in the past. Howard Dean ring a bell?

American taxpayers are wasting their dollars on the Senate and House. They are stagnant, not relevant any longer, and they are a waste of time and money. They should be shut down and sent home so we can quit pretending and deal directly with the real powers.

The media is complicit in the corruption and ruination of our laws and ideals. Republicans were smart enough to buy them starting back in the nineties!

i read that senator lyndsey graham and others had coached alito on how to answer/or avoid answering questions. i'm no member of mensa, but why can't alito just answer the questions and tell the truth? why does he have to be coached in how to fool people to get the job? shouldn't he be telling the truth since it will be such an important job? and for a job that will affect the lives of many generations to come, shouldn't the senators do everything in their power to find out and question this man who can't be fired? aren't they obligated to do that?

Subject: Alito, the Drone

Not a soul on the face of the earth can divorce their personal feelings and opinions when determining how they would vote on an issue.

Can anyone be trusted who professes such a thing? Is he an automaton, a Mr. Spock, a cyborg, unrelenting in logic, devoid of emotion or is he just lying?

A person of such ilk resembles a Dilbert character, stupefied with duty but possessing no heart.

More than 200 years ago strict-constructionists, not approving of the constitution, believed “if it wasn’t in the constitution” it was forbidden. Of course time and pragmatism opened many eyes and flexibility and inherent rights not specifically spelled out survived such folly.

It would be very difficult to comprehend our nation today using a strict interpretation of our founding fathers dream of rights for all.

States rights would be paramount and for our mobile population many of today’s freedoms would be lost or gained from state to state.

The Constitution is a flexible document which has survived these many years and needs not be the instrument of an all powerful government which is the dream of some judges.

Judge Alito may be a good man, a good jurist, but he is not human enough for America.

Dear BuzzFlash,

Senator Graham participated in the murder boards (mock questioning) of Samuel Alito. Is it ethical for Senator Graham to be included in the committee? And isn’t it an odd that it was Senator Graham who asked Alito the question that made Mrs. Alito to leave in tears? Or is it?

Subject: Fwd: Re, War, Trials, Leakers, Investigations, Packed Courts, and a Constitutional Crisis

FROM KATE SCOTT: Some of us have been rolling the phrase "constitutional crisis" around on our tongues for quite a while. If BushCo continue as they are going, it would seem to be unavoidable that there will be a major clash between two or more of the branches of our government (executive, Congress, judiciary), not to mention the military somewhere in the mix, before the end of the year or later, as a result of challenges to rigged elections. Alito is, obviously, being lined up to back up Bush in a showdown with Congress.

As Tom points out, and as is clear to anyone who understands the USOS theory, this is why Alito's appointment is so crucial to the Busheviks. It has to be not just "check" but "checkmate." Sure, Roe vs. Wade is important, but if that is all the Alito foes are concentrating on, they are missing the big picture.

Could "constitutional crisis" soon enter the mainstream dialogue along with "impeachment"? I believe the only offenses for which presidential pardons cannot be issued are impeachable offenses. And can a president pardon himself, I wonder? Bush will try it if he has to!! And Alito will back him up! Things look to be heading for ugly.
