Subject: New Motto
I think the new motto for the "War on Terror" should be "It's the Oil, stupid," with thanks to Bob Herbert's op-ed piece in today's (7/28/05) New York Times.

Subject: Re: Florida Declared To Be Louisiana Long Enough To Drill For Oil
Just one more SLEAZEBALL underhanded Bush brother conspiracy. On June 1st little SLEAZEBALL Jeb paid out $12.5 Million of Florida Taxpayers' Money to Big Oil Campaign Contributor - Coastal Petroleum for the last of the Coastal Florida Oil Leases. Two months later BIG SLEAZEBALL George has the Florida coastal Boundaries re-drawn. When will the people of this country finally say enough is a enough and run the whole Damn Family out of the country!!!

Chris Cox is Mr. Bush's nominee for the top post at the SEC. Mr. Cox was involved with Enron. He was involved in a corporation that was prosecuted in its bid for a deceptive plan to sell mutual fund shares. He was instrumental in lobbying for the "1995 Private Securities Litigation Reform Act" which prevents investors from litigating against stock market scam artists. It was this legislation that made the Enron and WorldCom scams possible. The nomination of Chris Cox to the top post on the SEC should send investors this very important message:
1) The rules governing investments in the stock market will now be subject to sudden change without warning.
2) Disputes will no longer be settled upon the merits of each individual case - but upon influence and quid pro quo.
3) The rights of the investor will be directly proportionate to the wealth of the investor.
4) Small investors have no rights.
Golly, it will be a very exciting time to ditch Social Security and invest in this kind of market. My family has a number of small investments which have been doing poorly since about the second year of the Bush "administration." We began to sell or cash out of our investments at this time. Mr. Bush's nomination of Chris Cox has prompted us to sell or cash out of our remaining investments. Mr. Bush has convinced us that he sees no need for stability in the marketplace.
Should Mr. Cox's nomination fall through, we are very confident that Mr. Bush will find someone else of the same caliber. Maybe he'll nominate Kenny Boy Lay to the SEC. My advice to the small investor is this: Move it or Lose it.

Subject: Presidential Dignity!
Way to go George! Yesterday our Dear Leader displayed his complete contempt for the working press and the American public. Arriving at the Capitol to meet with his thug minions about CAFTA, our spoiled, frat boy brat president gave everybody "the finger" after he turned down a hallway on the lower level of the Capitol. What a great display of presidential dignity. The man is losing it! Perhaps his month-long sojourn to his faux range in Crawford will help him get back on track. Unless, of course, he falls off his bicycle again. Is it time to dust off the 25th Amendment? Just asking.

Subject: CAFTA Vote
Please post all the names of the House Democrats who voted for CAFTA. Once again the Democratic Party shows why they are in the minority. They allow themselves to be bullied by the wealthy few who run this country. And, once again working class America, who Democrats claim to represent and interests they claim to protect, are screwed. Maybe aggressive campaigns should be started to oust Administration lackeys and sympathizers who claim to be part of the Democratic Party. Maybe they are just pink elephants posing as jackasses.

Subject: Another Mission Accomplished
This declaration of victory over the so-called liberal media by the main pitch-man for this fascist takeover. Never mind that they always had the media in the bag but pretended otherwise. The magician doesn't reveal the nature of his tricks. A BuzzFlash Reader today asks why this sudden disclosure? Some kind of chicanery? More likely our fascists know the score; that they're winning and winning big. Make a "little" confession? Why not? How can that hurt them? Aren't they in total charge and isn't it the end of history? Yes, if we the people continue to let these here fascists herd us towards the dead-end straight ahead. A firm no, however, if we the people take charge; sorry, there's no in-between That's what got us to where we are today. Isn't that self-evident now? Over and over again we've done nothing but compromise and see defeat, compromise and see defeat. No wonder! How can one compromise on the survival of all living beings? Obviously one can't. Can one prevent it though? Of course, but not by oneself. It's a community project with everyone to be involved. Then the above-mentioned spokesman will have to eat crow but first he'll be facing charges for being an accessory to the crime of mass-murder because he has been one of our main war/hate-mongers. His popularity is sure to fall and so will this fascist coup

Subject: News alert ... more prisoner abuse and presidential arrogance
The news is good .. .for all we can do about it! First, second page ... Mr. President did not go to the Scout Meeting ... did not tell them this, supposedly because of weather warnings. Trouble is, the scouts had to line up and sit in their seats for hours ... hours before this president's arrival ... as usual! 300 boy scouts were taken to local and army medical centers ... they became sickened in the horrid heat. But, hey this is President Bush ... he is thoughtless of others and thinks first of his best interests! Also in this same paper ... more accusations of abuse to detainees (Duncan Hunter) be damned! An entire Guard unit from California has been placed on restricted duty amid allegations of mistreated detainees. Other members of the Fullerton Battalion ... Alpha company are under investigation for extorting money from shop keepers, according to military officials. This company with about 130 soldiers is stationed at Forward Operating Base Falcon outside Baghdad ... the company commander has been suspended! The military revealed this month that eleven soldiers had been charged with dereliction of duty in alleged mistreatment of a person under their control, assault and making a false statement. Others are under investigation in connection with allegations of extorting money from Iraqi shop keepers, according to a military official. It is not clear, whether anyone has been charged in the extortion allegations. The commander in charge of the prison at Guantanamo Bay visited Abu Ghraib in Iraq in 2003 and recommended the use of military dogs during interrogations, the former warden in Iraq testified Wednesday at a hearing in Ft. Meade, Md., for two army dog handlers accused of prisoner abuse. Maj. David DiNenna testified that teams of trainers were also sent to Abu Ghraib "to take these interrogation techniques, other techniques they learned at Guantanamo Bay, and try to incorporate them in Iraq." The former warden's testimony follows defense claims that using unmuzzled dogs to terrify Abu Ghraib inmates was sanctioned high up the chain of command! And the beat goes on!
Subject: Problem with the CAFTA Vote!
I just heard this on Tom Hartmann's show.
There were TWO representatives who didn't vote on the CAFTA bill last night. One was Taylor of NC. Some constituents called his office this morning and his office said HE VOTED NO!
The story is, something must have gone wrong and didn't record his vote!
Tom said keep your eyes on this, it could expose a real problem!

Subject: Snow White and his Elves!
Snow White Bush and his elves have been kept busy during his terms as President! It is a full time job, and responsibility of the elves, to keep the truth from the American people. They must provide the stumbling blocks to keep information proving administration blunders away from the eyes and ears of the public. There must never be mistakes or corruption that can be laid directly at Bush and his administration’s feet! Their job is loyalty, secrecy and using any and all means, including blaming others in an effort not to embarrass Bush or any of his high placed honchos! Job #1 for the elves is to provide George W. Bush with an aura of infallibility he doesn’t deserve. This is the true mark of a tyrant and his "pawns."
We know most of the Republican Party has the mark of "power grabbers" and "Bush pawns," but unfortunately in many of the Congressional votes, this description also fits too many Democrats! Too many cross over because of pressure and profit, and though they SEEM to talk a good game, but they do not go far enough in respecting the will of their constituency! We must TAKE NAMES and re-elect accordingly!
Two notable "elves" come to mind, though there are many more!
"Doc" the Republicans Chief Elf, Bill Frist, the religious extremists' darling, recently pulled a defense bill.
"Sleepy," Pat Roberts, the elf head of the Senate Intelligence Committee, is now doing a job of directing info on the Plame investigation for Snow White Bush! This whole article deserves your scrutiny, showing promises made, promises stonewalled, and accountability once again denied!
WE ARE WAITING …
Corruption has its means and methods and "Finagle’s New Laws of Information" Cites the Bush/Rove plan accurately:
1 the information we have is not what we want
2 the information we want is not what we need
3 the information we need is not available

Think About this One!
A car company can move its factories to Mexico and claim it's a free market.
A toy company can out source to a Chinese subcontractor and claim it's a free market.
A major bank can incorporate in Bermuda to avoid taxes and claim it's a free market.
We can buy HP Printers made in Mexico.
We can buy shirts made in Bangladesh.
We can purchase almost anything we want from 20 different countries ...
BUT, heaven help the elderly who dare to buy their prescription drugs from a Canadian pharmacy.
That's called un-American! And you think the pharmaceutical companies don't have a powerful lobby? Think again!
Please forward this to every person you know over age 50. It is an interesting point of view. Maybe this is an issue that should come up in the next election!
Forget the 50, send it to everyone! We're all in this boat together!

Subject: Shooting the finger
As Bob Kur, MSNBC, was reporting on Bush's personal lobbying on the energy bill by going to the Hill himself, he showed Bush walking into the hall at the Capitol but then continued to show the footage where Bush shoots the finger at the press. Kur could have ended the footage earlier but continued to show it. Thanks to BuzzFlash for alerting me, or I wouldn't have believed what I was seeing it was so blatant. Why the press still protects him is amazing. I didn't see any other channel or reporter showing it. Remember Jenna sticking out her tongue at the press from the back of her limo? Fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.
