Subject: Letter to the Post, forwarded to BuzzFlash: Mouthpiece of the Administration?
The tone of Howard Kurtz's Feb. 10 Style article, "Online Reporter Quits After Liberals' Expose," suggests that Jeff Gannon is just a conservative reporter trying to do his job and that he is a victim of liberal bloggers using his past activities in online gay prostitution to get rid of a political opponent.
I am left wondering whether The Post is being too casual about this case. A political hack was credentialed as a "journalist" by means of a right-wing diploma mill that will bestow a "journalism degree" on anyone investing two days and $50. This individual, using a false name and questionable credentials, was then given access to White House press briefings for nearly two years on day passes, because he flunked the vetting process for a permanent pass.
Gannon was supposed to be the Washington bureau chief of Talon News, but it turns out that there was no news agency, no paper, no magazine -- just a Web site conveniently put up five days before Gannon's arrival at the White House, and with strong GOP ties.
In briefings, Gannon's questions and comments were partisan. The pieces he wrote were often verbatim White House news releases, published without attribution. Gannon has been associated with the Valerie Plame case since he referred to it in advance of other journalists, and he appears to have had access to an internal CIA document. He may have been instrumental in outing a covert agent. All this, and more, The Post might have mentioned. Who is going to defend journalistic standards and ethics if not The Post? And how does The Post feel about our government setting up this character as a mouthpiece for its messages?
Subject: Manufactured News
The manufacturing of "news"
by this administration and by mass media
for who knows how long should
be the scandal of the year! And yet
it continues unreported and unabated
for the most part. This should be front-page
news nationwide and worldwide! Each
incident should be making headlines
IF this were a democracy and IF the
media were not bought and gagged and
traitorous to boot.
The courts ruled that the administration MUST charge or release all "terrorist" prisoners and the administration HAS NOT COMPLIED. Oh but wait--you need not panic the populace with the entire truth all at once. Start now by at least a trickle. And I pray that you will then expand it into a raging river of truth, a torrent of truth to clean out this decaying democracy and growing threat to the world.
Here's a start... Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The leader of the "free world" uses propaganda.
Thank you Keith [Olbermann]! Thank
you Frank! Some truth comes out...

Subject: Days Bushy isn't at the White House
Does anyone know of a website that is keeping track of the number of days that Dimwit is out of the White House? I bet that someone is doing that. If so, could you post it? Of course, we all know that Cheney and the rest of them are running things. Bushy has lost too many brain cells to cope with the hard work.

Subject: Readers Must Go After Inept Media, About BuzzFlash
Want Ad Editorial
Every person who partakes in someway or another with BuzzFlash, should send to their local newspaper and to every major newspaper you can think of, their editorial titled: "Wanted: An Investigative Reporter to Break Open the Explosive Story of a Mainstream Press that Betrays America." Get on the phone to the editor and ask them WHY ARE THEY SO LAME IN THIS, AND OTHER BUSH SCANDALS.
Refer to my August 2004 Reader Contribution when I was bringing up all the UNSolved Bush Gates at: http://www.buzzflash.com/contributors/04/08/con04323.html
Do the same to the major "So-Called" News Networks and get on their case. Ask Them: Is the press afraid of Bush? Are they afraid of becoming the next kicked-out "Helen Thomas?" Doesn't the press know that they have the power and not Bush? Hasn't the press heard that the pen is mightier then the sword? Or are they simply Ass-Licking, Republican Planted, Journalists?
Subject: We don't need no stinkin' badges
Hello, Senators and Representative Inslee,
in Secret (washingtonpost.com)
Subject: Why I Believe 9/11 Is A Conspiracy
Four planes were hijacked and off course for a total of over two hours, with people on board calling and reporting being hijacked, across major airline routes and restricted urban areas, some of which equipped with automatic air defenses (like the air space over the Pentagon). And not one thing was done about it. Not before, though they had many warnings, some of them very specific, and Clinton had told them terrorism was their highest priority as security threat. Not during; over 120 NORAD security protocols were not followed or inexcusably delayed. And not after.
We were told Osama Bin Laden did it, invaded Afghanistan to get him but then didn't, and then all of a sudden the war on terror was the war on Saddam Hussein, with the White House blatantly lying to say he was connected to 9/11.
So something is very wrong, and I would like to know, why aren't
people more upset over this?

Subject: Bush Knew
Call me a conspiracy theory nut job but I think that Bush and Co knew about 9-11 in advance and just let it happen. I think they miscalculated how deadly the terrorists were going to be and more people died then they were expecting. In 1997 Cheney, Rumsfeld, Libby, Wolfowitz, etc. wrote to President Clinton, stating that the military needed a total overhaul and about the fact that we needed to attack a country in the Middle East. Attached are some lines from the paper:
"Rebuilding American Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century" published September 2000: by the Project for the New American Century.
from www.newamericancentury.org (page 63)
This played right into the hand of Bush. He had his "Pearl
Harbor." Think about it: sitting in a classroom for 7 minutes
ignoring 52 FAA warnings permitting 2 planeloads of Saudis to leave
on September 13 when no planes were flying Bush, objecting until
the last second for a 9-11 commission. He had his Pearl Harbor,
now they can go ahead with their plans with a great excuse.
Subject: Bush in Brussels
I was surprised to hear Bush commenting on such leading lights of the Enlightenment. I wondered where he got that quote that he characterized as coming from “an observer." It turns out that it was John Adams who wrote those words, not an awed Frenchman.
I wonder why Bush got no such reception on his arrival in Old Europe.

Could it be that Bush is appointing his dad's leftovers because
they know where all the bodies are buried...He sealed his fathers

"Ignorance was easier."
According to the Washington Post's editors, we now also learn that
We, the people must ask, "who fosters and promotes ignorance?"
One need look no further than the Department of Justice and American
federal judicial system. And, sadly we wait in vain for this story
to make front page news in any newspaper in the country.
Subject: More Than A "so What" Story
I'm just wondering why the White House, Republicans, and Democrats aren't outraged about the security breach that let Jeff Gannon in? It seems the White House is rushing to defend him, rather than condemn his actions. After all, this guy was engaged in criminal activity, offering sex for cash online is illegal.
Note: to Jeff/James, your life is no longer private when you post pictures of yourself spread eagle on websites. What part of "world wide web," didn't you understand?
Either the conman (Gannon) conned the best conmen (Bush/Rove) Or
they were all working together.
