THIS IS PART 2 OF THE FEBRUARY 21, 2005 BUZZFLASH MAILBAG. CLICK HERE FOR PART 1 Subject: The Gannon Story Is About Sex He didn't gain access for his reporting skills. And if sex was bartered for access, who was the john and who looked the other way? In a White House that claimed it was going to bring honor and dignity back to the office, these are not irrelevant questions. Prostitution is a crime. Providing state secrets and government access to a prostitute for sexual favors is a crime. Until we find out who approved Gannon in the briefing room and
why, the American people will be deprived of the truth that really
matters in this story. Subject: "fear Won Them The 2004 Election" Fear undoubtedly won the Republicans votes, but the election? Please. Have we not encountered enough evidence to justify at least the strong SUSPICION of massive fraud? Touch-screen machines and central tabulators manufactured by Republican contributors and convicted felons, the overt complicity of election officials, the impediments to Democratic voters, the intimidation of blacks and the above-average spoilage of their ballots, the disappearance of voting records, the absence of provisional and absentee ballots, the precision of exit polls everywhere EXCEPT in the crucial swing states -- all of this screams, absolute shrieks, absolutely reeks, of Rovian skullduggery, and if even we, who are in the Opposition, appear to resign ourselves to the outcome of this immensely flawed election by dispensing political explanations for it, then not only do we legitimize crime, but we rob ourselves and our allies of the indignation which produces the adrenaline for ensuring that it will never happen again. not have to talk to the FBI about the Plame investigation citing

up, be sure to mention your innocence due to psychiatric or clerical
privilege. Apparently you need not be one of these, but merely play
one in your head. It is an airtight legal defense. Subject: Parsnips A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: Whose Blue Stained Jockey Shorts? So much for family values! Will the press run this picture 20,000,000

What EVER happened to asking TOUGH questions of politicians and their operatives, which Gannon CLEARLY is? We have a gay male prostitute PLANTED in the White House press (even BEFORE Talon "News" began), shilling for an administration that used GAY MARRIAGE as a wedge issue? Doesn't THAT sound hypocritical? More importantly, by Robert Novak's own words, two Bush administration officials leaked that Valerie Plame was a CIA spy (OPERATIVE, not an analyst). Gannon/Guckert KNEW this information and discussed it. WHY are you and other "journalists" [not] asking the TOUGH questions? No problem BREATHLESSLY reporting about Clinton's dick for 2 years though, RIGHT? But a TREASONOUS act was perpetrated against the USA. And you "country-club" latte-drinking SYCOPHANTS ignore it. Because Bush's gang would CHARACTER ASSASSINATE you just like Clarke (a REAL AMERICAN PATRIOT), O'Neill, and anyone else who tells the TRUTH). And YOU would lose your million-dollar salary. REAL journalists like Murrow, Cronkite, Jimmy Breslin, and even Dan Rather (FAKE documents? MAYBE. True FACTS? Miriam Carr Knox said YES. Gannon is a FAKE reporter SHILL for the White House.) have been replaced by talking heads who sold out their JOURNALISTIC INTEGRITY for money. Geraldo Rivera was a GREAT reporter for ABC 7 in NYC 30 years ago, and now is a WHORE for Fox. Sad but true. Rupert Murdoch yellow-journalism. Washington Times and UPI owned by SUN MYUNG MOON, funding the right-wingers like Bush and Falwell, with biased heads like Tony Blankley acting as Bush cheerleaders and apologists. SLAUGHTER in the Holy name of God. By the Islamic and Evangelical fundamentalists. Jerry Falwell wrote an article, "God is Pro-War," parsing that KILLING by the US was NOT murder, and therefore OK. http://worldnetdaily.com/news/... BLASPHEMING piece of GARBAGE is Falwell. God WILL remember the SLAUGHTERERS of one's fellow man, whether they be Saddam, Osama, Hitler, or Bush. I get my news from BBC and the internet, where I can get REAL NEWS from SEVERAL perspectives, rather than the pablum of sound bites that are now the norm in the US. If you ever decide to become a journalist again (you AND the rest of your generation of "reporters"), I'd love to tune in again. We need hard-nosed reporters protecting the public RIGHT TO KNOW, not latte-drinking TALKING POINTS readers. How about it, Wolf? God Bless America. And the REST of the world, since it WAS created by God. A BuzzFlash Reader Subject: Gannon/Guckert a Private life dilemma Subject: Freeps Revoked Me. Why?
Keith Gordon Subject: Rush Limbaugh Is Re-upping On His Heroin Supply!!!!!!!!!!! To the best of my knowledge, this is the VERY FIRST war zone Rush Limbaugh has EVER set foot in and I (just like all of you) have to ask myself why now, why specifically there, and why Rush Limbaugh? What POSSIBLE use is a fat, deaf, American propaganda spouting drug addict going to be in Afghanistan to US or Karzai's forces? I say RUSH is bringing in bags of money to get an Opium fix that he can no longer legally have filled here in America, PERIOD! In America, Rush has to go without hillbilly heroin now. (No more Opium based drugs.) In Afghanistan however, Rush Limbaugh has no one stopping him! It is the Opium Mecca of the world now! Rush can get his Oxycontin in its purest form now (straight black opium tar) and do away with the pill part. Coincidence? (Hardly) Oxycontin is an Opium-based drug that Rush apparently abused for MANY YEARS. (It is often called Hillbilly Heroin on the streets because heroin COMES directly from refined Opium.) For the last year or so, Rush must have been jonesing his butt off for something, anything to pop or smoke that was Opium based! It must have been hell. The kind of withdrawals and mental cravings that Rush must be going through would make any Opium or crack addict forget he is a coward and they would willingly run into a war zone just like Rush is going to! Like a crack addict to the drug house, I find no surprise in the story that Rush Limbaugh is going to a SPECIFIC place where the UN just happens to state is THE largest producer of Opium in the world. All I have to say is check this guy's return luggage TSA! (Ah heck,
he'll probably have his future stash of Opium paste sent to a middle-man.
Especially with all the recent lessons Rush has learned about leaving
his prescription and paper trails all over the place.) Subject: Limbaugh To Visit Heroin Capital Of The World It's not bad enough the Bush White House has been repeatedly caught paying journalists, and at least one male prostitute, to brainwash the American public, but now they are flying a self-confessed opiate addict directly to the poppy fields of Afghanistan. Limbaugh to visit Afghanistan with US aid official (Reuters/alternet) 1475 and counting DRAFT Republicans now! Subject: Spiraling Downwards After viewing the latest dev elopements from the White House, I have come to the definite conclusion that your country and liberties have been hijacked by the most ruthless and brilliant band of criminals since Hitler and his crew fucked over the hearts and minds of their own people. The cast of characters in the Shrubs Adm. just gets more and more shady. Now Negroponte?!?! Who's next? Why not Falwell as Secretary of Objectivity? If this Adm. wasn't so dangerous to the world outside U.S.A., they would be laughable. Being a Canadian, I sincerely hope those millions who were stupid enough to vote Repug. in Nov., stay the fuck out of my country. We don't need that kind of shit here. We already have the Canadian Alliance party, and we're doing our best to chase them south of the 42nd where they belong. The red states would welcome them with open arms. It is quite readily apparent that the Dominionists have a firm grip on Bush's short ones. And with the coming rapture and Armageddon, who the hell cares about the environment when Jeebus is soon going to appear and send all of us unbelievers to some kind of landscape reminiscent of one of Bosch's nightmares. Of course all the La Haye converts are hoping this occurs soon. As far as I am concerned, it can't happen soon enough. Because it seems to be the only way we're going to be rid of these lunatics. And if it's a hell I am going to start hanging my hat at, at least it'll be free of those self-righteous jerks and bigots. We'll all be sinners, but at least we'll be under no illusions that we aren't. Although it isn't in my nature to try to bum anyone out, or reinforce the doom and gloom landscape perpetuated by these social retards, and by this I mean the Bushies, and since in their minds it's all going to end soon, here is a site that may clarify why they travel this path of destruction (re:Dominionism). The site is lifeaftertheoilcrash.net Frightening stuff, deals with Peakoil. Folks, it looks worse than bad. And the fact that your present Adm. propagates this rapture shit, leads me to believe that they don't give a fiddlers fuck for anything other than getting what they can, as quickly as they can. WOW, what a justification for their on-going policies. I can't continue about this anymore at the moment, too depressing. I need another dozen bong hits. "They got lies so big, that they don't make a noise." (Zappa) This is it for now, I sincerely wish all you free-thinking Americans the best of luck. You are certainly going to need it in the foreseeable future. Got to go, Square Bob Itch Pants is on the tube. Keep up the great work everyone. the angry Nova Scotian, Tony Gouchie p.s. I am sure some of you fellow buzzers are familiar w/Zappa, if so, listen to "Broadway the Hardway," and just replace a few of the names in the tunes. And did Frank write "Any kind of Pain" with Britney in mind? I say yes. Subject: Trees? The tree herder of that forest (with extreme apologies to J.R.R.) is Karl Rove. Rove's job as tree herder is to make sure that those looking for the forest only see trees; and let's face it, as much as I hate to admit it, he's the best! When Abu Ghraib happened, the "Shrimp Boat Vets" were the big news covered by the media. When things looked bad for Dubya during the debates, the media made a big deal of Kerry's comments about a vice-president's gay daughter. At the end of October it looked for all the world to most of us, except the media, that Dubya's term was over, then miraculously, Bin Laden popped up from his "U.S./Afghan prison" and made some cryptic remarks and the Stupid American Public (SAPs) bought it hook line and sinker. But arguably Rove's best piece of work was convincing the media and the same SAPs that George Dubya Bush won the election because of the moral valued right; the factor that no one heard of until an excuse was needed to belie the exit polls and deflect attention from an obvious, to the world but not us, fixed election. The Democrats are circling wagons to avoid a potential massacre. When Howard Dean exploded, the media, through Rove's PR, made him look somewhat "nuts." Guess what? Dean was probably closer to the truth than any other Democratic Candidate. But because of the Right Wing Media Spin, the "liberals" bought into Rove's bull and nominated a pacifist. The trouble with the Democrats is very simple; so simple in fact that it's easily overlooked. They have this idea that if they play the game fairly then everyone else will play fair. Naive to say the least. Stupid at best. Grow up. This is a new century. The "Greatest Generation" is fishing in Florida and doesn't care about the 10 or so years they have left. The MTV cartel is dancing in the streets unaware of anything that isn't rap. And the religious hypocrites are being totally brainwashed by greedy self-proclaimed agents of their God. Now we have the beginnings of the end in Iraq and it's going badly for the Bush Administration. More American soldiers are dying; many more Iraqis are dying; unrest is increasing; the election didn't quite go the way the Neo-Cons wanted; people are starting to question not only the war but its actual motives; the rest of the world is looking elsewhere for guidance and leadership. Time for the tree herder to get to work. Change the rationale to justify the Iraq invasion and reassure the SAPs that Bush knew better all along. Who's yer daddy? Sometimes you need to burn some trees to keep the rest from being destroyed. Gannon/Guckert is the current tree! Rove has again effectively removed the eye of the Democrats from the real problems. Gannon's the sacrifice. Do you think Rove really cares about this scandal? Hell no. He's "pleased as punch" that emphasis is taken away from other more serious problems and the SAPs just fall in line! Pyrrhic victory for the left! Good job guys! (Sarcasm; in case it was lost.) But don't stop there. Now! Go after all the other related stories. Tie them in to the "scandal;" make the public remember this and question it and you've got something real started. DON'T LET IT DIE!! Do the job the media should have in the first place. If it works, this will be the baptism of the bloggers. Credibility of the media will finally slip in the eyes of more of the public. But then again, I believe in the Easter Bunny! Any time something causes too much scrutiny of the administration's shortcomings, another innocuous Rovian event is produced. And the Right criticizes Hollywood! Hell, Hollywood writers couldn't hold a candle to this guy. Pulitzer material! Hugo Award stuff! And the media is even stupider; if that's possible. I'll leave you with one interesting thought. After 9/11, Bush made Bin Laden his number one priority. Remember? There's no place he can hide! Six months later, Bin Laden was a non person according to Bush. Why? The best(?) intelligence operation in the history of the world couldn't find him, or could they? They can hunt down a 13 year old hacker on the internet but can't find the internet source of Al Qaeda; they can find and prosecute supposed pedophiles on the internet but can't find a 6 foot plus terrorist on a dialysis machine sending threats over the net; they can prosecute a billionaire for supposedly trying to make money in the stock market but won't look into election fraud. Is it possible that our Intelligence Agencies can't do the job or don't want to do the job or were told not to do the job; or don't need to to the job after all? With the inception of the New World Order that people like Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz et al. envisioned in the 90s, and the web site and papers that stated that what was needed was another "Pearl Harbor" to get things going, what if Osama Bin Laden was actually killed in 1998? That's where the tree herder comes in. Just remember that someday
Autumn will come. Wag the Dog, Karl! Subject: Could Jeb Bush be any more coldly calculating? Could the governor be any more cynical in his political machinations? Better said, to use his own word, could he be any more devious in his efforts to kill the class-size amendment to the Florida Constitution? If educational research has proved anything beyond a reasonable doubt, it's that the quality of a child's education is enhanced by lower teacher-pupil ratios. That's probably why parents with means often seek tutoring for their children. It's certainly why exclusive private schools like Gulliver Prep, where Gov. Bush sent his children, keep classes small. But to give more attention to all of Florida's children will cost money and there's the rub for our tax cutting, private school voucher supporting chief executive. In his bid for reelection in 2002 Gov. Bush won by 14 percentage points. The same voters rejected his abundantly clear opposition to the class-size amendment. But he refuses to concede to the dreams of Florida parents that their children might be launched into successful lives with a quality public education. Now the governor thinks he's found the wedge. First, offer beginning teachers in small and rural counties significant raises and set them and their representatives in the Florida Legislature against the urban school districts. Then, see how many other teachers can be silenced with a $2,000 payment as the class-size amendment is smothered in its crib. Give Bush credit for one thing! He was being honest when he said his plan would be devious. Yours truly, Paul A. Moore There is just too much shit hitting the fan all at once. SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE HERE. Story after story after story implicate not only foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks but actual complicity. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE STAND UP HERE????? I am utterly despondent with no hope left for my own future amongst shitbags like the American Gov. network from hell. I just want them to fucking pay and pay and pay and pay. And I don’t use the term “ruling class” lightly. His tax cuts for the rich: not only do they remain in defiance of the largest deficit EVER, but King Leerer intends to fight to make them permanent. HOWEVER, for any program involving anybody who isn’t rich: oh yes, cuts do exist. Severe cuts. Cuts o’plenty. Cuts to the bone, unless those bones happen to be located in the vicinity of the cholesterol laden limb of a fat cat. Apparently the plan is to balance the budget on the nutritionally deprived uninsured backs of the inadequately medicated poor. That’s the deal: budget cuts if you’re not rich, tax cuts if you are. Less money for those who don’t have any and more to those who do. That’s how President Fredo says we’re going to get out of the giant deficit hole he’s dug. You can’t put it any more simply. Rich people richer. Poor people poorer. Here’s just a sample of what he plans for our future with a handy reminder of why. Because you can’t hear it too much. That’s right friends, he’s cutting winter heating subsidies to the elderly so rich people can have more money. What are we now: The Gorgar People? Let’s just cut to the chase. Subject: Gannon And Karl Subject: Take Them At Their Words In the 1970's, the Trilateral commission painted a rosy picture about how to take over the world for the rich. It's key was to transfer all the power to the president by various small rules and regulations. They wanted then to use the US military to be the enforcer with the american people as cannon fodder. Each president, republican and democrat, was to contribute, along with a scenario which described our past history quite well until Clinton. Enter the PNAC. And they are still around and writing and posting on the web. Do I believe in conspiracies? Only when they are written in black and white! I really think that the 9-11 incident might have been the Perle Harbor-like incident they were talking about, n'est-ce pas? And they want Iraq to go bad so that Syria and/or Iran will enter into the fight, bringing the Israelis into the fray, leaving the US military the option of leaving to let the others fight and invading Europe. [BuzzFlash Note: Please see this 9/11 rumor debunked: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/w/wtcisraelis.htm.] Subject: Nyt Interview W/doug Wead Re: Tapes Of Bush Apparently, several apostles of the conservative Christian right have been less than thrilled with Dubya's refusal to push for the Constitutional Amendment banning same sex marriage. They've also been upset that he sets a higher priority on banning Social Security than on banning abortions & stem cell research. They've frequently "reminded" him that they got him elected & he "owes" them. Now comes the surprise - tapes! Only Dubya & Wead know what's on the tapes that weren't reviewed by the NYT. Is Wead sending a not-so-subtle message to the White House? Nah, that wouldn't be very Christian. Here's the link for the Frontline episode "The Jesus Factor" in which Wead is interviewed. In describing how his relationship with Dubya began, Wead states, "So in March 1987, I met George W. and Laura Bush and the twins in Corpus Christi. George W. said, 'I've been reading your memorandum. Good stuff, Wead. I'm taking you over. You report to me. I'll be your boss.' So that was that." If Wead is using years of "secret" tapes to influence his old buddy George's political agenda, who's working for whom? Pure speculation on my part, of course, but I couldn't help but wonder why a family friend, political advisor and born-again Christian would tape Bush's words SECRETLY, for historical purposes. As a former journalist, if my intent were purely historical, I would have been more up front about taping. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline... |
