Subject: please consider this letter to Senator Russ Feingold
I volunteered on your campaign in the hope that I would feel represented.
What could really be more important this particular day than joining
Barbara Boxer in her courageous move as she, standing alone, made powerful
history to bring attention for Americans to the debacle of our recent
election. The support of all the democrats would have lent invaluable
credibility to the FACT that we cannot implicitly trust in our elections
anymore. Our fragile democracy is seriously at stake. Corporate takeover
of government IS fascism. The assertion that maintaining a bipartisan
appearance is more important, is really saying that making a purely
political move is more important than informing urgently to the nation
that its very democracy is at critical risk. The corporate press has
successfully kept the facts of voter "irregularities" from
mainstream readers. The irregularities were rampant in 2004, just as
they were in 2000. A bipartisan charade in 2000 did absolutely nothing
to prevent another questionable election, very questionable. We didn't
elect you to vote with the republicans. We elected you to do what is
right, and hopefully this time around, maybe the republicans would begin
to follow YOU in supporting issues that save democracy.
In this case, they do not respect you for any silly, forced bipartisanship.
They surely must feel something like, "here they go again. They
will not stand up to us now, either. whoo-hoo. Suckers." And they
are right. The election was fraudulent. Period. Investigation on a national
level should be the bipartisan effort that people like Barbara Boxer
attempted today. The manipulative argument that this was not the appropriate
forum for this is plain ridiculous. If the process that acknowledges
the vote as "regular, in form and authentic" isn't the right
place, I don't know what is. The process wasn't regular and thus authority
is at question.
Senator, you voted against the Patriotic Act and I'm grateful. Much
more is required and today you failed to represent me or anyone else
I know. If we can't trust you to defend democracy here, we will vote
for Greens next time (I never have) or we will help create a different
real 2nd party that fights for old democratic ideals. It seems that
in its attempt to copy the republicans to "win" next time,
the good democratic party is a thing of the very distant past. These
so-called Centrist (corporate) positions are not the ideals we were
Please rethink the direction you will follow. Today was shameful.

Subject: A Disgrace All Around
Democrats in the Senate and in the House have disgraced themselves
by voting to certify Bush's election. John Kerry has disgraced
himself by refusing to stand up and fight the outrage that happened
in Ohio. Kerry would not even support Senator Barbara Boxer's
challenge in the Joint Session on January 6, 2005. It boggles
the mind that Kerry is insinuating he will run again in 2008.
I supported him strongly in 2004, and I sent him my money. Never
again. He refused to defend himself against the Swift Boat outrages,
and he looked the other way when the election was stolen from
him in Ohio. We need a fighter who will stand up to these Republicans.
The Republicans fight all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court
when they lose an election. We don't seem to have any fighters
on our side right now. BuzzFlash should print a list of every
Democrat who voted on January 6 to certify Bush's "victory."
It's all quite disgusting.

didn't examine everything in the White House? I doubt that releasing
any of these secret papers is going to let any Bush cat out

Subject: A SIMPLE and CHEAP solution to undocumented workers
taking jobs from US citizens.
If you raised and enforced the minimum wage wouldnít that discourage
the hiring of undocumented workers?
It seems to me the main incentive to hire foreign immigrants
for "jobs Americans wonít do" (in the words of GWB)
is because they will work much more cheaply than US citizens.
If American citizens were guaranteed a living wage for those
jobs then they surely would do those jobs. If we arenít going
to enforce US businesses hiring undocumented immigrants then
it logically follows that a minimum wage that guarantees a "living
wage" would do more to discourage illegal hiring than all
the troops and fences you could ever put on our border and wouldnít
actually cost our government anything. In fact it would actually
help both Social Security and our national debt by increasing
payroll and income taxes paid to our government.
Sounds like a cheap and easy way to go to me. It would sure
beat building a "Great Wall" around our country because
we surely know the other "Great Wall" almost totally
bankrupted China and was not really even that effective.

Hey Guys, How does this sound for a CBS program?

Of course, those "voted off" by their comrades, er,

Let's call it "Chicken Run.")
Some ideas for guests would be Bill O'Reilly, Michael Savage,
Robert Novak, Trent Lott, Mary Matalin, Ann Coulter, and of
course, Rush. Oh the list could be almost endless. Think of
the ratings! Why, I bet Wal-Mart would "slash prices"

Naturally, NBC and Faux would have to come up with clones.
How about ..."Faith Factor" for NBC? Put Pat Robertson,
Jerry Falwell, Rev.(?) Dobson in a mosque somewhere in Iraq
and they'd have to convert 100 Iraqis without using TV or collecting
money! The losers would have to beat themselves with Iraqi whips
to cleanse their souls.
Faux Nutwork could have "Pleasures of Abu Ghraib Island."
Donald Rumsfeld, John Ashcroft, Dick Cheney, Ken DeLay, and
others could pose for a photo shoot and snuggle together to
see which cracks first under sexual pleasure and reveals secrets.

Yes, sir, we will all just forget that Bush didn't win either
election, that thousands of voters were either intimidated or
disenfranchised, that Bush gave the surplus to people who didn't
need it in exchange for jobs that have been sent overseas.
We are now in an unending war for trumped up reasons and God's
man in the White House says what's the difference. We are getting
close to 1400 killed in Iraq and over 100,000 Iraqis.
He just nominated a guy for Attorney General who thinks effective
counsel in death penalty case can be accomplished if the court-appointed
attorney sleeps during the trial and that it is up to the defendant
to prove he slept during the wrong times.
He sends out a memo saying torture is okay and Geneva Conventions
are obsolete and then claims because Bush supposedly rejected
it that it was okay for him to say it is legal. We all know
that Bush didn't reject them because they went down the chain
of command, he just got caught.
Today he says it is okay because a memo just written supercedes
it. Too bad it can't take back all the torture since 2002. This

Subject: considering Republicans' response to voter fraud
I had a very interesting experience yesterday which I thought
I would share with other BuzzFlash readers. After receiving Kerry's
e-mail to contact the congressmen about voter fraud, urging them
to work toward correcting all the problems inherent in the system
(and yes, I also wondered why he wasn't standing beside the other
Democrats demanding answers), I dutifully called Hastert and Frist
over and over and over, getting a busy signal every time. Just
about giving up, imagine how surprised I felt when the phone began
to ring only to hear someone answer, "Senator Kerry's office."
Yes, that's right. Apparently, Frist was so overwhelmed by calls
that his office started forwarding them to Kerry's office. Now,
who was the joke on?! Receiving the correct number from the nice
lady at Kerry's office, I called and immediately got an answer
at Frist's office. Giving my heartfelt plea to this disembodied
voice, I disconcertedly sensed that I was talking to myself. I'm
sure nothing I said got past the ear of the person to whom I was
speaking. So I'm thinking, why would the Republicans care to "fix"
a system that they control and that works for them. They're the
ones who "fixed" it in the first place. We Democrats
are being so naive if we think that any number of pleas are going
to make them do anything to disrupt the machines that put them
in power in the first place.
So, I would like to offer a challenge to the technologically gifted
people out there: if we want this problem fixed, we are going
to have to do it ourselves! That means infiltrating the system,
finding out what they've done and un-doing it. And I don't mean
fixing it in our favor, because then we would be just like them.
I just mean taking out the programming that gives the Republicans
the 51-49 edge, so that the votes are counted fairly and without
any skewed results. Then we have to get into the polling areas
to make sure that other tricks aren't going on. You know the Republicans
could never win without cheating, and they will never give up
their power without a fight. We have to beat them at their own
game, and we have to get organized to do it. Our country depends
on it! If we truly represent the intellectually elite, then we
better start showing some smarts.
