Subject: Time for a little Osama
Hey Buzz:
Does anyone else get the feeling that Osama bin Laden tapes
have taken the place of Ridge's elevated terror alerts? Bush's
macho-man Kerik's story gets increasingly unsavory, the situation
in Iraq goes from worse to unimaginably disastrous, Rummy reveals
himself to be an ass yet again, more prisoner abuse photos and
reports come to light, and the missile test fails because Bush
pushed for the technology to be released too soon--hey, kids,
it's Osama time! Let's whip out a tape, whip up some good ol'
fashioned fear, and divert everyone's attention from this string
of fiascos.
If it wasn't so sad, it would be laughable.

Subject: The Washington Post's coverage of the Ukrainian Story
as opposed to Ohio
I see that the Washington Post just caught on to the election
irregularities in Ohio but of course they aren't calling for
any action. So another was stolen. Get over it. I just wanted
to share my letter to the Washington Post which just wrote an
editorial in which it is up in arms about election fraud in
Ukraine (weeks ago) but missed the Ohio story until now!!!!!!!!!!!
What's wrong with this picture?
Dear Sirs and Ladies,
Your response to the election in Ukraine is just pathetic.
I have to give you credit for destroying your reputation quicker
than anyone would have thought possible. It is only thirty
years since your reporting helped bring down a corrupt administration
and now you've become one of the most accommodating lackeys
in Washington. I hope those left over from the Nixon administration
appreciate all you've done for them.
I'm very impressed by your coverage of how the Ukraine exit
polls didn't match up to the vote, suggesting a totally fraudulent
election. Now I'd like to turn your attention to a matter
closer to home. In case you weren't aware of it - and perhaps
you were just out of the country - we had an election in this
country in early November with similar results. Now I'm not
a conspiracy theorist but perhaps you might want to check
into why so many Americans' votes weren't counted either.
Perhaps Mr. Bush - I won't call him president because he has
the power to take my money, ruin my retirement, and get my
kids killed but that doesn't give him any legitimate right
to it - should start defending democracy in this country before
he goes butting into, with your permission, the business of
every other one. Now I've said enough and I'll allow you to
continue to occupy your place in the corporate echo chamber
as you continue your slide to irrelevancy. We here out in
the hinterlands of the blue states live in a period of near
total news blackout and we've learned enough not to expect
any relevant news from your quarter. Perhaps you should just
stop calling yourself a newspaper and pass out broadsheets,
that you print for nothing, to the Fortune 500 corporate boardrooms
because you'll still be reaching the same target audience.
Another liberal who doesn't believe a word the liberal media
says,
P.S. I've got a rebuttal for you concerning the Ukraine. If
the exit polls in the Ukraine were different from the final
tally, then undoubtedly the exit polls were flawed and perhaps
the Ukraine media should just stop reporting them. It's worked
awfully well here and then the Ukrainians can have a world
class paper too.
Subject: You did a horrible job. Here's your medal.
I get the distinct impression that Bush is trying to rub our blue
faces in his reelection by giving the Medal of Freedom to the administration’s
own Three Stooges--Tenet, Bremer and Franks. The audacity of it is
shocking at some level, but we’ve also come to recognize that in Bushville,
failure is success, fear is hope and oppression is freedom. If the
Medal of Freedom ever had any significance, and I doubt it did, it
has been flushed down the toilet after this charade. By all rights,
he should have given medals to Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden
for their invaluable assistance in his reelection to a second term.
Maybe next year.

Subject: Voting Fraud
It is a well proven fact that people repeat what works! The Republicans
cheated with impunity in 2000 and again in 2004. When will the Dems
wake up and smell the coffee?
Pisces
Perhaps, if there is any justice in the universe, the members of
this present slimeball administration can make up for their draft-dodging,
national guard deserting ways by doing a stint at a military post...I
was rather thinking of Fort Leavenworth.
Subject: social security
The only logical answer to the (somewhat) social security problem,
is to raise the ceiling on the payroll tax. Right now a person making
(approx) $88,000 is taxed 100% on income. A person making $176,000
is taxed at 50% of income. Not too equitable is it? No matter how
the administration tries to spin social security reform and privatize
a portion, I believe they will eventually have to increase the ceiling
limit. Now, they will not call this a more equitable limit for most
Americans. Nor will they call it a tax increase because it is so beyond
the GOP to raise taxes that if they do they will all have seizures
and break out in hives.
The democrats should call for raising the ceiling limit now and let
the GOP fall all over themselves telling the people that the dems
want to raise their taxes. Then the administration will paint itself
into a credibility hole because they will either: not raise the limit
and watch as the social security fund is used to pay more and more
of other government programs, or lose face and raise the limit just
as the democrats called for.
Democrats need to start playing hardball and start defining the GOP
for what they are and beat them to the punch on every issue.

Subject: Opposite Person of Hypocrite of The Week Needed
Hi BuzzFlash,
In regards to your "Hypocrite of The Week," have you ever
considered nominating a person each week who is opposite of This Week's
"Hypocrite"?
For example, you could select any news reporter, who actually digs
into any News, for a change. Lapdogs for Bush need not apply. This
would be a very unlikely result with today's media corpSE, but a very
good example who has been "pulling his weight" as a reporter
would be Keith Olbermann.
You could reflect on any Conservative Politician, who actually sees
the light of day and proposes and votes pro-Democratic. The chances
of this happening are slim and none, and none just went out the door--but
it could still happen.
Or you could reflect on any Democrat who is busting his or her butt
to make this a better Country for ALL the people.
This way we could see who is actually helping The Democrats or Country.

Subject: CONFIDENTIAL: Up Armoring Humvees
Hey Donald Rumsfeld,
I have been doing some research on up-armoring Humvees so our troops
don't come back shy some limbs. I know that if you want to send some
business my way I can help out. Now just so you know, I am not some
amateur, I am a professional welder with a metalworking shop. The
going rate to up-armor a Humvee is $48,000 dollars and I know that
I can do an excellent job for our guys and gals in uniform at that
rate. I figure at $5000 for steel and about $3000 for labor I can
do one vehicle a month and make a fair profit and still have some
left over for a political contribution, if you know what I mean. So,
email me some specifications and ship me my first Humvee and I can
get started doing my part for the war effort. Get with me soon and
I will throw in a premium sound system and a Bloodhound Gang Cd!

Subject: Just Play Acting . . . All Through LIfe . . .
BuzzFlash,
I know I should never be surprised at what Bush does . . . regarding
his freedom awards, or whatever it is, lies about WMD, his military
(AWOL) his businesses (Busts) his friends (Saudis and bin Laden's
family), his 2 million dollar yacht, his larger than life Inauguration
Ball, his ignoring the abuse to our military and Iraqi people, but,
no one pays any attention to any of those things as if they were not
real. When nothing is real . . . invasions, elections (frauds) mandates
(Ha) . . . Bush knows that he could step out of the White House and
tell the Nation to get down on their knees that we were to pay homage
to the SUN, or that everyone had to carry his (Bush's) picture on
their person, and if we didn't, well, watch what you say and what
you do. Someone is watching you.
Bush doesn't have to be real . . . because everything about his presidency
is unreal. His willingness to wear military uniforms and yet, he doesn't
have a clue as to what our military faces every day in Iraq; he doesn't
have a clue as to what unarmed, ordinary people in Iraq have to face
every day because of him. He hasn't won any elections. He was a failure
in every business. He made his millions off the backs of average people
and he lied us into a war. He knows he can do or say whatever he wants
to do or say . . . because no one, not even our members of Congress,
are telling Bush that he is only a president, and not even an elected
one, and that his opinion is not the only one that matters here or
in the world, and that he works for the American people, that he needs
to have respect for Americans, and people around the world, that he
can't act as if he is a "crime boss," instead of the unelected
representative of a Nation that use to be a leader among nations in
the world, until four years ago.
Putting it plainly, as long as people follow Bush as if he was a real
leader . . . he won't lead, but he will keep on plagiarizing the position,
but all the while, inserting his own outrageous actions as long as
he can get away with them, without any resistance (I think it's call
Acting Out); much in the same way a child plays make-believe. They
use their own ideas with the identify that they have chosen. And,
because of their lack of knowledge, (but in Bush's case, criminal
activity, disrespect and disregard for the office) it's only play.
Sort of, kind of like being alone in a giant store of candy and toys
if you are young or if you are old, spoiled, selfish, and immature
in the mind.
How long can Americans afford to have a lack of leadership . . . it
is no excuse for our members of Congress to stay silent, even though
they do not have a majority, they are supposed to uphold their Party,
and if they can't do that, at least uphold what is right and if they
can't do that, at least uphold what is legal . . . instead of being
the silent audience to Bush's play acting, they should assume the
role of a disrespectful, jeering audience that demands perfection
to be in the same range as the cost to watch the play. And this Bush
act has cost Americans plenty.
Just a thought . . .
Thanks BuzzFlash,
Shirley Smith
Subject: Mailbag 12/15/04...dead or alive????
I used to think they just were that stupid...but, now I think they
are so sure of themselves and the crookedness of the things they are
allowed to do...it is just disgusting and sickening.
As to the Buzz underground reporter...and his news of the three medals
that Bush bestowed upon himself...does this surprise anyone? He can
brag about it to little kids that he reads "The Pet Goat"
to...he is a child anyway...any man who would keep the gun of Saddam
in the oval office...for a toy...Sheeeesh...How could any republican,
with a straight face, bash Bill Clinton for doing anything in the
Oval Office? I cannot wait until someone in our circle of family who
thinks Bush is God...brings up Giuliani...these people thought Clinton
should have been hung for what he did in the oval office. Wait...because
these people pay no mind to what republicans do...wait until I tell
them the story of Giuliani....bringing his girlfriend into Gracie
Mansion...while his wife and children lived in one wing...Gracie mansion
is taxpayers' home, too! Until a judge put a restraining order on
him...made him keep the girlfriend out while the kids were there.
But, I cannot wait until one of these rightwingers who do not even
vote...brings this one up...stupid rightwingnuts!!!
As to the death of Chemical Ali...I remember it well. Just goes to
show everyone how phoney this entire war is! They told us Chemical
Ali was dead, in April of '03...and now they have him in custody?
How in the hell do they do these magical things??
Great stories...Bush...bestows upon himself three medals...who else
ever did that??
And, Chemical Ali is being shown on television as one who is going
to court...after being killed in April of 2003? I have an idea...no
one will go to court...including Saddam, and Osama if ever taken in...all
of it is smoke and mirrors...all of it is contrived...all of it is
a made up story...It is horrid for America to admit that is possible...but
it is, folks!
There is no other answer for any of these strange things...none!!!
None of the above ...would even pass the grin test with civil intelligent
people!!!

Subject: Bernard Kerik - Gift Wrapped, With a Bow
Hello Again to BuzzFlash and to all BuzzFlash readers,
I want to be the very first, in the spirit of the holiday season,
to express my sincere appreciation to GeeDubya and to Rudy for such
a Liberal holiday treat: Bernard Kerik, the gift that keeps on giving!!
According to NY Newsday, investigators recently discovered that Bernard
Kerik, one-time hero to GeeDubya and former Homeland Security Director
nominee, had a third marriage, to a Linda Hales, that he kept secret
for over 20 years.
The topic of Kerik's third marriage evidently never came up in conversation
with any of his friends. Nor does Kerik make mention of his real first
wife, Linda, in his 361-page best-selling autobiography, "The
Lost Son: A Life in Pursuit of Justice." He did happen to mention
it to the White House during the vetting process, however (what a
stand-up guy).
This begs the obvious question - do we expect a sequel: "The
Lost Spouse: A Life in Pursuit of Prior Nuptials?!??" Or better
yet, consider "The Lost Right-Winger: A Life in Pursuit of Red
State Moral Values."
This "missing" marriage is only the latest episode in a
series that has been unearthed since Friday about Bernard Kerik. This
is the confidence that GeeDubya exhibits when presented with such
an overwhelming mandate. Kerik is the one man whose credentials made
him the perfect choice to protect us from Evil-Doers - a man that
GeeDubya thought of so highly that he didn't even wait for the FBI
background reports before announcing him as his choice for Director
of Homeland Security. Recall that, according to the White House, it
was the dreaded Nanny issue that ultimately brought Kerik to voluntarily
withdraw his name from consideration.
What else in Kerik's screed is fabricated? Or, for that matter, what
else could be completely omitted from "The Lost Son?" Hey,
if Kerik will go to such lengths to hide a marriage, how far will
he go to hide other embarrassing and colorful personal tidbits? Imagine
the possibilities. Are there other arrests? Prison records, perhaps?
Hints as to Kerik's true sexual orientation? How about a hidden sex-change
operation? A missing name? hmmmmmmm . . . was Bernard Kerik once Bernadette
Kerik??!? Where will it end?
In light of Google's recent announcement that it would create an on-line
library, should Kerik's book now be reclassified and listed under
the heading of "Fiction?" Perhaps that is a question for
other similarly accomplished best-selling literary stalwarts such
as Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly to answer.
Warmest Regards,
GK, a Fervently Loyal, Devoted and Proud Liberal BuzzFlash Reader
Subject: Coronation

up. How many millions are being spent on this boondoggle?

don't you think? I respect the posting of the story, but Columbine
H.S. never killed anyone. Two mentally ill teenagers did, and even
so, I don't think it's a great image to put forward. That Marine was

Otherwise, keep up the good work.

Subject: GAO
BuzzFlash,
Am I the only person that missed this? Lately, it seems I've heard
people on TV saying "the Government Accountability Office"
instead of "Government Accounting Office." Turns out that
last July the name was changed, but so were various aspects of how
the GAO will be run. Included is a compensation system that is apparently
keyed to performance, which is really bizarre considering what the
GAO does (or is supposed to do), and an exchange program where GAO
people can work in the private sector and, scarier, vice versa.
Here's the GAO fact sheet, which has a link to the law that made these
changes:
