Subject: Fraud anyone?

Hi Buzz

Fraud in Ohio !!??

Let's get george to look, again, under his couches, perhaps he can find Fraud. Probably right next to the WMD cache.

If there is Fraud in one place maybe there is Fraud in another place and if there is Fraud there, too, maybe there is Fraud in many places and if found there, too, maybe there is fraud throughout the State and, if so, maybe there is Fraud in many States? Why not? Fraud is so easy-for them-and so rewarding.

And george really really does need a victory to cap his long list of debacles and failures and he really really does need all the attention that would go with it.

Oh, it's there george. You just have to know where to look! Give you a hint--WMD? Look in the heads of your neocon mob. Fraud? Look in Ohio, Florida, Red States and some padding in Blue States just to boost your numbers.

Hello,

If you are a member of the Quakers in Colorado or the Catholic Peace Ministries in Iowa, or if you champion the "environment, animal rights, labor, religion, Native American rights, fair trade, grassroots politics, peace, social justice, nuclear disarmament, human rights or civil liberties," you just might be a possible terrorist worthy of being spied upon. The ACLU is charging the FBI is spying on individuals and groups as a penalty for practicing their first amendment rights. I realize with the volume of emails you receive per day this may be stale by the time you read it. But on the off chance it is not, it might be a worthy headline link.

Subject: CIA Leak Investigation

The news reports of the ongoing CIA leak investigation have been surprisingly absent from our national media coverage. This brings to mind certain questions in that the last news report I saw several months ago reported that at least 10 reporters were being charged with contempt of court unless they revealed their anonymous sources of the "leak" inside the Bush administration. Some are facing up to 18 months in prison.

Our national security was compromised at the highest levels of our government when the identity of an undercover CIA operative was published to silence Joe Wilson's objections to the Iraq invasion.

The seriousness of the charges coupled with the important debate of a free press vs. national security is of great concern to me. The implications that the Bush administration so recklessly compromised our national security places our democracy at risk not to mention that this country will suffer a great embarrassment on the world stage which will undermine our credibility.

I am appalled that more journalists aren't interested in the outcome of this investigation as it could become a matter of spies being protected by the very press shield laws that now protect anonymous sources and journalists from prosecution.

Subject: Kerry felled by Invisible 1-2 punch!

John Kerry, much like boxer Sonny Liston, was dropped to the canvass in Fl. by an "invisible" 1-2 punch. Most boxing aficionados believe the Clay-Liston bout was fixed. Liston took the dive -- and gave away the heavyweight championship to a young Cassius Clay, the latter day Muhammad Ali. Most political experts -- off the record -- believe Kerry took the dive into political oblivion. Like Liston, Kerry seemed all too ready to call it quits. No murmur from JFK about results from rural Florida that seemed to indicate that a whole lot of 1-2 or double punching was going on in punch card polling stations in the hillbilly/Bible Belt strongholds of the Sunshine State.

Examples:

1) Bay County: Bush gains 2,172 votes from '00 while Kerry gets 212 less votes than Al Gore. Bay County had a voter turnout of only 9,918 votes.

2) In Holmes County: Bush receives 6410 votes (+ 1,402 from '00), while "Sonny" Kerry loses 267 votes from Gore's tally in '00. Total turnout in Holmes was only 8210.

Then there is the outstanding issue of 232,000 more Fl. "voters" casting a ballot for President than showed up to vote.

I did a little experiment to see if the entire state of FL. had been gripped with Bush Fever. I focused on three counties in the state whose '00 results most closely matched the Fl. '00 statewide vote, Bush 48% Gore 48%. Pollsters call these jurisdictions bellwether counties. If there were to be any areas of Fl. that would demonstrate actual Bushmania--rather than "E-Voting, Opti-scan or double-punching" Bushmania--it would be found in these counties.

Result: An ever slightly more Bush-friendly climate.

1) In small Madison County, the Bush/Gore race was Bush 49%, Gore 49%. In '04, Bush 51% Kerry 49%.

2) In slightly larger Monroe County, Gore bested Bush 49%-47%. In '04, Kerry 50%, Bush 49%.

3) In very large Orange County, Gore defeated Bush 50%-48%. In '04, Kerry defeated Bush 50%-49%.

Now let's check in on 2 Counties where "ghost voting" was most prevalent: 1) In Volusia County, Gore defeated Bush 53%-45%. In '04, Kerry squeaked by, 51%-49%. A Red Margin swing of + 6.

2) In Osceola County Gore defeated Bush 51%-47%. In '04, Bush defeated Kerry 53%-47%. A Red Margin swing of 10%!

Most of the Ghost Vote is found in Palm Beach (90,774) and Miami-Dade (51,979). "Coincidentally," they form 2 parts of Kerry's (alleged) Big 3 County strategy--the other being Broward County. Broward was not spared the sword of Bush. They were attacked by different means--like those 58, 000 "lost" absentee ballots, etc.

On 3 November, shocked Fl. Democrats could not understand how Bush kept pace with Kerry gains in the Big 3. Now we know, or as they used to say in the golden days of radio, ONLY THE SHADOW KNOWS.

Subject: Show me what democracy looks like

The Ukraine has showed us what democracy looks like. A questionable election day outcome, where only 1-3% of the popular vote separated the candidates, and the results were at odds with exit polling, has brought tens of thousands of citizens out to protest. The protestors have been camped out in the capital of the Ukraine, Kiev, for some 10+ days. I wonder if they got the appropriate permits....

Subject: Re Social Insecurity

The problem of Social Security may be the worst one affecting every individual in the next several years. The security and health care of increasing numbers of elderly may become a burden too heavy to bear. Placing part of payroll taxes into stocks will not help those retiring in the next few years, and will likely cause a faster reduction in the trust fund.
The "voodoo economics" of the Bush administration are ensuring a fiscal crisis of gigantic proportions, including inflation and currency devaluation.

Subject: Big phony thank you

I must agree with Tom’s comment in the 12/2 mailbag on Bush thanking the Canadians for their efforts after all commercial jets were grounded on 9/11. How hypocritical of a person who presided over one of the worst attacks on America to thank the Canadians THREE years later. I watched the clown’s speech live and screamed at the TV when the imbecile
proudly thanked the Canadians. He is truly the armpit of the world!

I noticed many Buzzers personally thanked the Canadians within weeks of finding out about their kind gestures, but hey, when you’re the illegal prez, you can thank people as late as you want, especially when you’re a phony. I hope all Canadians saw this clown for what he really is.

Subject: Let NBC and CBS's Lay Clergy Write Your Church Ad

Dear Crusaders of the airwaves,

When did this administration or any other administration get the right to say what churches can say in their ads?

There is absolutely no way you can be seen as anything other than what you are, which is biased.

Churches have always forbid people from the sacraments. They may let you in, but that doesn't mean they won't treat you like crap and ostracize you later.

Every Southern Baptist Church I ever went to had closed communion for the Lord's Supper, which meant you weren't supposed to participate if you weren't a member of that local church. In a large church you could get by with it.

The idea that CBS or NBC are somehow the watchdogs of church propriety is absurd. There is not one minute of that ad that is offensive. There are plenty of churches that, while saying everyone is welcome, make it very plain that certain people are not welcome.

The problem is you apparently do not want gays to feel welcome anywhere unless they like being told they are going to hell and that their sins are worse than everyone else's. You are welcome only if you behave the way they want you to behave.

This is just about as outrageous as you can get. The day I need CBS or NBC to give me a lesson in church ethics will be the day we all wear parkas in July. This is pure and simply a pandering to the White House, where they take from the poor to give to the rich and the rich never have enough.

The Bush administration can't even spell morality, much less define it. CBS and NBC are allowing a slaughter in Iraq and won't even report on it.

Subject: Kerry

Dear Buzz,

Just an observation......I myself have stated among others, that John Kerry conceded way to early. But upon thinking about that, I realize that Kerry did not say anything about possible fraud because you and I know that the self righteous Repugs would have been crying foul for weeks on end, and being that John Kerry has more class in his little
finger than that slimy, beady eyed, pencil neck, deserting smirk-faced retard in the White House, I think that's why he backed out so quietly.  Kerry has class and that should say
something in itself.

Another thing...the reason we didn't win is that Democrats don't play dirty like the Repugs do. I know if the Democrats acted like pit bulls and didn't let up, the Repugs would by far back down. They'd have to. But being that Democrats are acting so wishy washy, no wonder the Repugs are like pit bulls at a dog fight! The object here is not to back down! Like right now I don't hear of any mass demonstrations going on, or many law suits. Quit heeling like some mangy dog and get out there and fight as if your life depends on it...which it does! Get down and dirty, and watch the Repugs raise their eyebrows at us for a change...just a thought.

Subject: The Bush Moralistic Conservative Republicans . . .

BuzzFlash,

Well, if people had any doubt as to what Bush thinks we should do with our "old forests," the name of his 2 million dollar yacht (Sequoia) should give them a hint.

See this from the League of Conservation Voters:

Congress Approves $8.08 Billion for EPA, First Budget Cut in Recent Years

They didn't purchase this before the election. Why anyone voted for these criminals, I will never understand, even if they had never heard of the other candidate, their pillage, stealing from our government, robbing the poor to pay off the wealthy, and the poor are more worried about two gay people living together or a woman having control over her own body. Do people really think Bush cares about any of those things . . . no, easy answer. Bush cares about Bush.

I also don't hear him talking too much about the carnage in Iraq, a Country that I think he should have to walk the whole of it to see what he has done because of his lies.

If Bush never has to pay for these crimes then there is no justice in this world. None.

Thanks BuzzFlash,

Subject: Worst President EVER

Well, I guess I’m ready now to remove the John Kerry bumper stickers from my car. I had never put political bumper stickers on my car before, and I’m kind of sorry to see them go. Right after the election, though, I wanted to rip them off out of frustration, anger, and even a little embarrassment. But I am no longer embarrassed in the slightest. I am proud that I voted for Kerry and a better America! The people driving around with Bush stickers are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves!

But now the time has come for the election to be officially stolen and declared over. Kerry will then officially be electoral toast. But now I want a replacement sticker. I want something anti-Bush. Something funny, maybe? Here’s what I want:

I want the face of Comic Book Guy and the words, “Worst President Ever!”

I know some of you know what I mean.

Please let me know where I can find one or how I can make one myself.

Thank you! Stay positive in the face of evil! We shall overcome!

Subject: Regarding "Axis of Evil"

Axis of Evil Deconstructs the President's Catchphrase and Illuminates the Manipulation of Truth, Language and the Media

Although all of this sounds extraordinarily interesting and was a great read, I think there is too much emphasis and speculation on the phrase. If you'll remember a visit to S. Korea early in the Bush Administration, he referred to the two Axes displayed in the 'Peace Museum' in N. Korea which were used by the N. Korean soldiers to kill the two U.S. Soldiers as 'Axes of Evil'. His speech writer thought it'd be a great idea to reference this thought into his State of the Union Speech, only switching a vowel. I caught this while watching the speech and thought, 'You Cads'.

So, an offhand remark with a completely different meaning has become major Foreign Policy, and everyone just let it happen. Seems to be the norm these days.

Thank you.

Subject: mailbag.....12/2/04

To a few contacts in this bag...

SB, I am in total agreement with everything you say!

To Bob Lambert....Yeah, I am with you, too, I am sick to death right now of every
yellow bellied democrat on television. Including the wonderful "egg smashing on his face
of Carville"...he who I would never have thought would sell out...on Meet the Press with
his right winger wife, of all people...when asked about the election...and his prediction
that Kerry would get 52% to Bush's 47%...he was likely right...but, could never fight
for his right to be right! I was embarrassed...and of course...Russert laughed and Mary
said, "Oh, that's why I love this man!" I say...."Disgusting"!!

Dems have dropped to a new low...so maybe true, there is nothing we can do about it
this country is now on lock down...at least that is the way I see it. We can all do our
parts...at least things that give us satisfaction. You, Bob, are right about Carville,
Hilary Clinton, all all the wussy democrats who have sold out to the other side...Kerry
is the worst...Edwards is pissed at him...and I do not blame him.

I have a feeling though...that many people are going to live to regret this evil administration.

There is a sign in West County of St. Louis that says..."so many have lost their
overtime....why Mr. President?"....but, on a sign coming from the Illinois side...there is
a sign that I do not understand and plan to do whatever I can to get it explained.
The sign coming off the ramp from Interstate 55, as it comes into the Missouri side,
says, "The only legislation to start a draft has been by democrats."  I am not understanding that, and plan to try to find out what the meaning of it is. I understand
that a democrat and a republican...I think Hagel and maybe Durbin...have proposed an
amendment...that if the draft is reinstated....that....not one soul can get out on
a college deferment. That is the only news I have found about any kind of amendment
about the draft.

If anyone out there knows....please straighten me out...otherwise, I am going to find
out from the state of Missouri....or the city of St. Louis.

Shirley............St. Louis

Subject: Crossfire

Dear Buzz,

I wonder if anyone noticed the Liberty University sweat shirt in the audience when Jerry Foulwell and Paul Begala met Thursday evening on Crossfire. Did that explain the applause when Foulwell spoke? Did he think it was necessary to bring along his cheering section? He got that idea from George Bush, who did the same thing for the last 4 years. Always salt the audience with your rabble rousers and their cheer leaders to tell them when to whistle and shout and cheer madly.

Subject: Giuliani and Co-Liar Bernard Kerik getting their reward for being lying loyal soldiers.

"President Bush to tap former New York police commissioner Bernard Kerik as next homeland security chief, administration officials say."

Isn’t this the same Bernard Kerik who Rudy Giuliani said seconded his now famous "Thank God George Bush is our President" statement on 9/11, while standing at the ground zero of the WTC?

Bernie got his payback for seconding the Giuliani lie more quickly than I had imagined.

And this reminds me why I’m a Democrat; because I don’t own a single pair of boots that’s tall enough to stand in this kind of Bull Sh!+ without getting it all over me.

Subject: My letter to the Globe

Dear Boston Globe:

Brian C. Mooney writes:

(A) study by a team at the University of California at Berkeley, using an academic statistical method, asserted that ''Irregularities associated with electronic voting machines may have awarded 130,000 excess votes to President George W. Bush in Florida." In Broward County alone, the study said, Bush ''appears to have received approximately
72,000 excess votes." ... But if Bush had actually received 72,000 fewer votes in heavily Democratic Broward, his total this year would have been less than it was in 2000 -- even though nearly 132,000 more ballots were cast.

Voting Errors Tallied Nationwide (Boston Globe)

Does Mooney really question the probability of GW Bush's receiving fewer votes in a Democratic stronghold than he did in 2000? Just because there were more ballots cast? Stands to reason that such a result could be attributed to a strong GOTV uprising for the very purpose of ousting Bush. And it more closely corresponds with accounts about the mood and the energy on Nov. 2, from those who were on the ground.

Mooney asserts that those doing statistical analysis believe in a "vague conspiracy" to manipulate elections on behalf of Bush and then he goes on to say such studies "have not stood up to scrutiny from academics and other analysts." Does Professor Hout know that Mooney is calling his University of California team conspiracy theorists? And where are the unnamed academics who refute the study, according to Mooney? That still leaves "other analysts" and since none of them are named, either, we can conclude Mooney is referring to himself as an analyst.

The Boston Globe might consider treating its readers to a better analyst. Might I suggest Juan Gonzalez, who in the New York Daily News, noted a similar pattern in Ohio? Only in this case, John Kerry was the one who netted fewer votes than Al Gore did in 2000, despite record turnout. In black communities, who vote overwhelmingly Democratic. Where did the extra votes go? This year, to obscure third party candidates, whose votes skyrocketed in those same precincts, compared to the last Presidential election.

Does this pass the smell test? Or is the Globe's news hound only trained to sniff out "conspiracies" when presented with facts.

Subject: Kofi Annan....(To THE NEW YORK TIMES)

Annan is teetering on his pedestal (Warren Hoge, NY Times/Int'l Herald Tribune)

I find this article typical of U.S. media and the current administration. Because Kofi Annan has the ability to see the world from a much broader perspective, and disagrees with the U.S. over its policies, he is being discredited. The oil for food business has little to do with any of this. It does, however, serve as a great excuse for the media and the administration to misrepresent Mr. Annan. Anyone who disagrees with the current administration, is currently being painted similarly. This is disgusting, to me, as an American. I find it contradictory to our very democracy.

It is well past time that you, in the media, quit sidling up to this disreputable administration. The attacks being made against Mr. Annan demonstrate clearly the very same meanness of spirit that Bush displayed via the Swift Boat Veterans against John Kerry. Anyone with half a mind, can see how this same game is played over and over...while the media acts as if it knows nothing...and then determines a way to side with the president regardless of whether he is right or wrong. How many times have you kowtowed to this administration when you knew that it was wrong. You, gentlepersons, are not doing your jobs. Forget journalism, you folks can't even distinguish between right and wrong anymore. You are doing a disservice to the American public by continually allowing this administration to carry on with absolutely no responsibility or accountability.

I belive Mr. Annan to be a person of complete and unvarnished integrity. The latter is something that you in the media, and the current administration, will be hard-pressed to find. It should also come as no surprise, that this entire affair reeks of an institutional racism, which only the most naive in this country would deny.
