Subject: Was the 2004 election manipulated? Ask yourself these 6 short questions.

At this time, there is a lot of information and disinformation out there. It's like trying to pick fly feces out of pepper. Meanwhile, ask yourself these 6 questions:

1. Do you think that the 2000 election was manipulated in Florida?

2. Which party is supported by the CEOs of voting machine companies?

3. E-voting machine companies could have provided a paper trail, but did not. Why?

4. Voting machine companies could have volunteered to make their source codes
available to 50 secy's of state -- and did not. Why?

5. Voting machine companies left the central tabulators open for manipulation. Why?

6. Who stood to gain from the above questions?

Subject: Re Washington Journal St. 11/13/04

I turned off Washington Journal once this morning, November 13 - it hurt my heart. Then I turned it back on, then switched it off again, finally deciding that I don’t want to acknowledge consideration being given about whether torture is acceptable in particular circumstances or for certain types of people. It seems to be a veiled attempt to cue in the audience to accepting or justifying such ignorance.

It’s been shown that torturing only forces people to tell you anything you want to hear, and it puts our own soldiers in more danger when they’re captured. And if the prisoners at Abu Ghraib were so deserving torture, why were most of them set free after a couple of years of confinement?

Yet those who, even if unwittingly through policy memos, condone such awful activities as we saw at Abu Ghraib and other places, get off scott-free, while the troops take the blame. Those men and women surely "did a bad bad thing," but I hope there is accountability for the contract workers, and all the way up the ranks of the military and government officials.

The Bush administration wears religion on its sleeve, but where is the Christianity in torture, sexual humiliation, rape, and killing? "Christ wasn’t fighting a war like this," Pedro's soft-spoken guest implied. No, thank God, he was not, and if I believed that he had or would, my own faith would be completely destroyed.

So much of cable news has become mean-spirited lately that I’ve stopped watching. The debates range from topics irrelevant to my life such as what Christianity means in politics, or gay marriage, or out-there/wacko professionals trying to justify things that are in my heart at least, immoral - such as recorded U.S. policy statements that might lead some to believe that there are circumstances where it could be legal to torture human beings.

I won't listen to one-sided lectures about "very bad things" being, well, sometimes OK.

Subject: for Shirley in St. Louis

Buzz,

Just wanted to let Shirley in St. Louis know that I too have a Republican family (totally -- not a Democrat in sight, other than my grown daughters), and not only are they Republicans, but they are rabid fundamentalists who think Rush Limbaugh and James Dobson are God's salvation for America.

My God-fearing, otherwise warm and wonderful mother actually told me (in response to my mentioning the dead Iraqi people) "we should just kill them all -- that's the only thing those animals understand, BRUTE FORCE." I was so stunned by this "good Christian woman" saying such a hateful thing, that I began to question whether or not I could possibly be genetically related to her.

My only brother believes that the news on TV is all lies (which I pretty much agree with). However, he followed that statement with "but Fox news is not quite as bad as the others." Thank goodness we don't see each other more than two or three times a year!

Take heart, Shirley. You are among friends. We're all in this together.

Subject: Florida Panhandle Votes .... Please Forward!

The following was sent out three days ago to void the Republican Dixiecrat theory of the Florida Panhandle .... and a few updates have been added ....... please forward this message ...

In Rebuttal to the republican disinformation on the Voter fraud allegations in the Florida Panhandle. You are going to get some Republican responses stating that the area is 'Democratic' in name only, claiming that theses are actually 'Reaganites' and have been voting republican that way ever since. Something about history and having only one party back when to register as, and that happened to be Democratic. They will tell you to look at the last election in 2000 voting patterns for the area ..... don't by into it ..... In fact all that would tell me is maybe the area was rigged in 2000 also, just to a lesser extent.

Fact is that Dixie County, Franklin County, Calhoun County, Gulf County, Taylor County, Wakkulla County, Levy County, Leon County, Jefferson County, Gadsden County, Madison County, Citrus County, Gilchrist County, Hamilton County, Putnam County, Flager County, and more around the corner of the bend of the Panhandle were Blue Counties for President Clinton in 1996. And that pattern was actually increasing from the 92 Election. Anyone can go to the Florida Elections Website and see the numbers. The argument of this area having some sort of Orwellian populace which registers overwhelmingly in one party (Democratic) and somehow votes for the other guy since the dawn of time just doesn't hold water. As a side note .... if anything, with Clinton going out campaigning as he did this year after OPEN HEART SURGERY .... well I think that in itself would have fired this area up, ya think?

And the following was taken from a column that appeared in The Nation online magazine on 11/10/2004. Author David Corn ....

"But other critics--including progressive talk-show host and author Thom Hartmann--also point to a spreadsheet created by an activist named Kathy Dopp that shows what she considers anomalous pro-Bush results in Florida counties that used optical-scan voting, not electronic touch-screen voting. (The optical-scan machines were manufactured by Diebold and the other firms that produce the touch-screen machines.) But Walter Mebane, a Cornell professor, and colleagues at Harvard and Stanford examined this allegation of fraud and concluded that it is "baseless." They note that the counties in question are mostly in the conservative Florida Panhandle and "have trended strongly Republican over the past twelve years." -

In response to the above, we believe Mr. Mabane should please look at the facts before making such a statement. We only have to go back 8 years to see that much of this area in question is contrary to his baseless statement. And lastly these disturbing anomalies in Florida occurred Statewide. For Mr. Mebane to disregard the scientific study of Kathy Dopp is disingenuous to say the least.

Again please forward this message, and do not let the republican slant sweep these fraud investigations under the carpet !

Subject: Letter from New Zealand - Oh Dear!

Dear BuzzFlash,

Well, time is a wonderful thing, and although the disappointment of election day still resonates, the "shock and awe" (how did they do that?) I felt last week immediately after the result has somewhat subsided. There really isn't much I can say that I am sure hasn't already been said, but I came across the following little gem accidentally the other evening...a letter from a very thoughtful Bush-supporting American that went something like this....

Plain and simple, the re-election of George W Bush was the American people flipping the collective bird to Europe. So all of the arrogant, bribe-taking,
terrorist-sympathizing, elitist European socialists were essentially told to 'go to hell' by us 'stupid Americans' God forbid we ever become 'intelligent' like the Europeans.

Ok, so that was that, but it made me think about how now, more than ever, sites like "BuzzFlash" need to be supported, people...keep writing and posting those letters, because the rest of us need to know that you are still there and will continue fighting the good fight, we need to be constantly reminded that the US of A has not collectively lost its marbles, and that there are still those of you that care and understand that life does exist, and does matters beyond your shores. Don't give up! If you do we will all be the
worse for it.

Subject: Frenzied and Frightened Exit Pollsters "Invent" Hispanic Surge

By 1 am EDT, the Consortium Exit Pollsters were wetting their pants. Bush is up by 3 % (51%- 48%) but their polling results show the opposite, Kerry 51% % Bush 48%. Two options:

1) Accuse the President of the United States of grabbing an additional 3% from cyberspace, or

2) Start creating votes -and create them they did.

In their fear and haste they got sloppy. They invented the Hispanic Surge, totally contradicting their findings released by CNN at 5pm EDT - and scores of National Pre-election polls showing Bush deeply unpopular and mired in the low 30's in support among Latinos nationwide:

Latinos' support for Bush debated: Exit-poll math doesn't add up, one institute says (Houston Chronicle)

There is another curious demo that piques my curiosity. To lurch Dubya to 51% in Ohio, we are told by the boys at Exit Central that Dubya got 15% of the African American Vote statewide, nearly doubling his showing against Gore in 2000. Are there raw results from any African American dominated precincts in Cleveland, Toledo or elsewhere in Ohio that corroborate that scenario? I've been trying to find the data but have not been able to do so. Is this "surge" for real or puffery to explain away Ohio Votescam 2004.

Subject: re: George Soros

I want to add my vote to the person who suggested that George Soros start his own cable news channel. I am so sick of hearing about the "liberal media." People have no idea what a liberal news outlet would be like. It's time to give them one. Then they would begin to see CNN, ABC, CBS etc. as they are; middle of the road at best, corporate apologists at worst.

And George, while you are at it, please start your own electronic voting machine company and loudly announce that you don't plan to have a paper trail. This is the best, and perhaps the only, way we will ever get Republicans off their ass and voting in favor of requirements for paper trails.

Remember, when it comes to reaching out across political boundaries to bring the country together, JUST SAY NO!

Bush's psychosis is a virulent miasma that releases corrosive poison wherever it is quartered. It seeps into the soul of things squandering them with its black death. Subject: Our cup runneth over

We Democrats scored a huge and unrecognized victory in this election. If a Hispanic lesbian, running as a Democrat, can win a sheriff's post in Texas, this election was not won on moral issues. Moral issues added a margin of safety for Republicans but this election was won on pure, old fashioned nationalism, whipped to a frenzy with elevated terror alerts, talk of terrorists disrupting the election, a peek a boo appearance by Bin Laden, promises to wipe the Fallujah insurgents off the map, etc. etc. Minus the unintentional and not so unintentional voter fraud, voter suppression and intimidation, there is no doubt that victory was on the doorstep and knocking. We do not need to be tearing ourselves apart or trying to reinvent ourselves in the image of the Republican Party. We won minus a whisker and a bag of dirty tricks.

We now stand poised to watch the neocons collapse as Iraq comes apart at the seams. A deep reading of stories on the in-fighting at the CIA and the Pentagon, indicates that the Bush administration is practically on the verge of self immolation. John and the Democrats are spared the blame for the coming disastrous pullout from Iraq and the crazies will have taught the world (and especially ignorant Americans) a lesson not soon to be forgotten about preemptive war on a country that hadn't lifted a finger against us. To have come as close to victory as we did in this election in this political climate was a miracle. We have only to wait. Our cup is about to runneth over.

Subject: A CALL FOR A WHISTLE-BLOWER

When Clinton ran against Bush Sr. in 1992, exit polls taken the day of the election made it clear by mid-afternoon that Clinton would win. The polls were so widely accepted that Clinton was interviewed during the afternoon by the network news about his victory. The interviews were not aired until after the polls closed. Bush the First also was interviewed and he likewise acknowledged that afternoon -- before the polls closed -- that Clinton had won the election.

Something this year has gone terribly wrong.

What happened?

Exit polls on November 2, 2004, suggested persuasively that Kerry won the popular vote in the three most important states he needed to win the election, Pennsylvania, Florida and Ohio. But when the votes in those states were reported by local governmental officials responsible for reporting the election, the reported votes did not reflect the estimates derived from the exit polls.

In Pennsylvania, for example, exit polls showed Kerry leading Bush by 60 percent to 40 percent. When Kerry ultimately was declared the winner of Pennsylvania, the calculation was on the order of 52 percent to 48 percent in Kerry's favor.

In Ohio, exit polls showed that Kerry was leading by an approximate margin of 53 - 47 percent, but after the votes were processed electronically the result was essentially reversed, with Bush given 52 percent and Kerry 48 percent of the vote. In Florida -- which, like Pennsylvania and Ohio, also used electronic voting machines -- the exit polls showed 51 to 47 percent of the vote in favor of Kerry. But the result reported by the state was on the order of 52 - 46 in favor of Bush, practically a mirror image of the exit polls.

In New Hampshire and New Mexico, states that used electronic voting machines, the results reported by the states deviated dramatically from those suggested by exit polls, with Kerry winning in New Hampshire by about two percent of the vote when exit polls indicated he had defeated Bush by something on the magnitude of 57 to 42 percent (a 15 percent differential), and with Kerry LOSING in New Mexico by approximately two percentage points after exit polls had shown him defeating Bush by about three points.

In Illinois, on the other hand, where paper ballots were used, the exit polls and the results reported by the state were nearly identical, with Kerry winning 55 percent and Bush winning 45 percent. Similarly, Maine and Wisconsin, where paper ballots were used, came out as the exit polls indicated they would.

When electronic voting machines were introduced, people wondered what safeguards there were to prevent election fraud. The answer was simple: if there was a substantial disparity between exit polls and reported results, this would be one indication of foul play.

Then what?

Based on the extreme disparity between exit polls in states that used paper ballots and states that used electronic voting machines, it seems clear that there was foul play.

IF THIS IS TRUE . . . then what this country needs, and needs right now, is a hero, someone to come forward and expose the wrongdoing of the corporate and governmental officials and employees who have participated in the theft of the election and the destruction of our cherished democracy. Now, more than ever, America needs an insider to blow the whistle on the corporations and local government functionaries who have perpetrated the theft of the 2004 election.

In his first inaugural address, Thomas Jefferson spoke carefully about what it meant to have a democracy, with one fundamental underlying value being "a jealous care of the right of election by the people [and] absolute acquiescence in the decision of the majority . . ."

After suffering the indignity of an aborted national election in 2000, the Republic has again been defrauded of the certainty of an unquestionably honest election.

America needs a whistle-blower in the ranks of one of the electronic voting machine companies or the offices of the secretary of state of Florida or Ohio. If the election was stolen in one or both of these states, it is essential that someone with knowledge come forward.

This is a call to an unknown someone to make a personally difficult, costly but morally crucial decision -- to come forward with specific information about how the election was stolen and by whom. The survival of our constitutional democracy demands nothing less. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Americans have died to earn and defend their and our right to vote. The history of the struggle to protect the vote in this country is a bloody one. A dishonest national election will have a horrific and indelible impact on American democracy.

In our recent history, good people such as Jeffrey Wigand and Daniel Ellsberg, at great personal cost, came forward to report on abuses perpetrated on the People by industry and government. Dr. Wigand, a former employee of Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co., bravely exposed the perjury before Congress of the CEO's of the tobacco industry. Daniel Ellsberg, a government employee, courageously released secret government documents, "the Pentagon papers," exposing the lies of the U.S. government in perpetrating the fraud on the public known as Vietnam.

Both Wigand and Ellsberg paid the price for their heroism, and both survived.

You will also survive the cost of your heroism.

Subject: Upset

Is anyone out there as upset as I am over the money that will be wasted on the inauguration? How about all the revelry and parties that will be going on? Wouldn't you think that with a war going on and our servicemen getting maimed and killed that we would not calm this down? Where are we as a nation? Is this moral?

Subject: EMERGENCY!!! Mass Media In 'Lock Down' Not To Cover Vote Fraud (rense.com)

THE TECHNOLOGY OF FASCISM

This situation is a full-tilt emergency. I have been receiving reports for a week now that the major media are in a near-total lock down on the subject of vote fraud, and this article confirms it.

The only major media person to treat this subject with any semblance of the seriousness it deserves is Keith Olbermann on his "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" show on MSNBC. Friday he detailed the study by the University of Pennsylvania professor that showed the mathematical probability of the exit polls in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida all being so far off the "actual" vote counts as being 250,000,000 to one.

This was a major breakthrough for our side. But now, if this article can be believed, his job may actually be in danger. I hope not. I can only hope that this is a wildly hyperbolic exaggeration of the situation at MSNBC.

However, I do have reason to believe that the situation at CBS is as described, based on other info I've gotten.

This is a crisis. The public is absolutely NOT going to be given the information they need to decide for themselves what is going on, unless a great many people make a huge stink about it. As many people as humanly possible need to be made aware of this situation.

If this election was hijacked by hacking the vote electronically, as I strongly suspect, then this constitutes nothing less than the technology of fascism. What could be more perfect for the fascists of today than a system that surreptitiously alters vote tallies to suit their purposes, while maintaining an illusion of democracy and free choice?

Subject: Letters to the editor or whatever or whoever.......... OSAMA DEAD

Maybe I shouldn't read all the BuzzFlashes because last night, thank the Creator, it was only a dream and one that occurred in the future. I dreamt:

There was this really immense place, and in it this tremendously large creature that I knew
at once was Satan. Standing in front of him were three people. I am willing to swear that one was Osama, however it was so murky and filled with smoke I could only see that the one Osama was so friendly with, had a leash tied around the neck of the third. Osama and the man holding the leash were embracing and talking like old friends. At one point Osama
asked the man holding the leash who the third man was, and the answer was, Oh you know he is the Caped Crusader. Osama then said, oh yes I recognise him now, but why the cape? The answer was, It covers a device that allows me to speak to and for him.

Then Osama looked up at Satan and said, but why did we have to die now? Satan replied,
the two of you were given the greatest gifts I have ever bestowed. To you Osama I gave you leadership and power over one billion Muslims. Satan then turned to the other and said, you were given power, through the fear of your nation's Nuclear weapons over the "free" world. However the two of you have killed over twenty million Innocent children before I had a chance at their souls and so I brought you here now.

Then Osama said, but we did keep the bargain we made back in the 90s when I and my Al-qaeda, thru fear, helped his administration receive not just eight years but power for life and he kept his word and helped me escape, took out Saddam, my worst enemy, and helped start the Holy War and then also we both chose you over the true teachings of our
religion. When do we receive our rewards, like the 77 virgins? Satan then said, you truly have done so well your rewards shall be 77 times 77 virgins. Of course they are all males and as of now you are eunuchs. Satan then added, "This is hell, after all." At that point his great booming laughter awakened me.

Subject: Rove: We stole the Election.... Nah.. Nah ..Nah Nah.. Nah,, Nah......

Rove, a genuine psychopath, must have been in unbridled bliss, reveling in his criminal theft of a Presidential Election.

Votergate 2004; Karl Rove on the Dis-Information Trail (opednews.com)

Karen Hughes, a Bush aide/babysitter who does nanny work on a part time basis while living in Texas most of the time, says she advised Bush to authorize his speechwriters to start working on a concession speech.

Bush, at around 10 pm EDT, staring those apparently fatal exits in the face, did no such thing. "I got it in the bag," said the Grandmaster of the Lodge of Vote Fraud. Even Dick Morris has written that late exit polls are never wrong.

They will be from now on. Polling is useless as well. Elections. too.

Subject: How They Did It

"Those who take power through a coup do not relinquish it willingly." -- Unknown

Of course they were prepared, they started four years ago. Minister of Propaganda Karl Rove knew that this time they had to dominate the popular vote to legitimize their coup.

For years I was a professional magician. My partner was renowned for fooling other magicians. His secret was this: Use many different methods at once so that if someone discovers one thread it will only lead so far. Overlapping methods and using misdirection to draw attention away from "business" usually caused spectators to begin looking for sleight of hand long after it had taken place.

I believe that is exactly what happened in this election.

First, they had all of the voting machine manufacturers in their camp. The Secretaries of State of both Ohio and Florida were partisan Bush supporters. Then, by using a combination of rejecting and destroying Democratic voter registrations, voter intimidation and suppression, not sending out absentee ballots, rejecting signatures of voters and never re-instating most of the so-called "Felon's List 2000" in Florida, coupled with inflated turnouts, fraudulent e-voting, "glitches" and hackable computers that tabulate the ballots and other as yet undiscovered tactics, we were had. Plus they had the lapdog press all along the way to echo the charges of "Flip-Flopper" and never investigate Bush's enormous record of lies and failures.

By showing such an overwhelming popular vote advantage by Bush, all cries of election fraud look even less legitimate than in 2000. With the exception of Keith Olbermann on MSNBC and the Internet, it is a non-story. Even NPR has moved on. Hey, with a 24 hour news cycle, who even remembers that election, what was it, over a week ago?

We thought we were prepared and vigilant. We had Michael Moore, Jon Stewart, MoveOn, George Soros and millions of hard working volunteers across the country. What we didn't imagine was that they would have no scruples whatsoever and would do whatever was necessary to win. Can you imagine the outcry by the right if Kerry had won and received more votes than there were registered voters?

"Those who take power through a coup do not relinquish it willingly"

Why did we even expect them to allow a fair election? It would have been totally out of character for this crew of villains. We must use every resource at our disposal to uncover the fraud that was committed upon the American people. We must be smart and dedicated and look for courage and inspiration to the great leaders of the Labor and Civil Rights movements of the past and never ever give up. No surrender.

Vive La Resistance!
