Subject: A scary thought

I check your site every day and always find something that gives me hope as well as something new to freak me out. Today I had a scary thought of my own. Remember the Nixon tapes? Wasn't Nixon debating using nuclear weapons as an option preferable to losing the Vietnam war? Didn't Cheney and Rumsfeld work in the Nixon White House? How worried should we be that these guys have their fingers on the button?

Re: A Decadent Philosophy - Destruction And Death = Freedom

My synopsis is very simple. We are under the domination of a creed of greed, directed by the GOP, and a pResident following the orders of his coalition, the wealthy, Christian Right and corporate America, backed up by the neocons in the Pentagon.

Their policies are aimed at destroying the middle class in America by sending the country deeper and deeper into debt, while they expand their corporate monopolies world-wide.

All the while claiming that outsourcing and offshoring are good for this country, and that huge deficits do not hurt the country. Meanwhile they are spending the country's future and raking in huge profits while driving up inflation which is to their benefit, because corporations just raise their prices to increase their bottom line, while the average American sees their bottom line decreasing more and more. To hell with the economy, environment and education, because all of those affect their bottom line.

Conservatives claim that everything should be privatized in this country, knowing that everyone will pay more for less in return. Do away with all social programs, even Social Security and Medicare, as nothing but pyramid schemes designed to make the wealthy support the poor, elderly, sick, disabled and unfortunate.

They have destroyed the separation of church and state, making the Christian Right more powerful than ever. Relying on the support of radical organization and groups, including the ARA, white supremacist and militant groups and anti-abortion supporters.

And to obtain their goals of staying in power, destroy everything and everyone standing in their way. GOP=GREED, OPPRESSION, PROPAGANDA

Subject: More caustic remarks from DeLay

Excerpt from Bernstein article - History lesson: GOP must stop Bush

In Republican cloakrooms, as in the Oval Office, response to catastrophe these days is more concerned with politics and PR than principle. Said Tom DeLay, House majority leader: "A full-fledged congressional investigation - that's like saying we need an investigation every time there's police brutality on the street."

Considering the brutality comment, an investigation should commence immediately, questioning whether DeLay is part of the human race or not!

HOW MUCH DO WE PAY FOR OUR INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES?!?!?!? And we are now learning that we were duped by another country to kill one of their enemies -- AND OUR INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY DID NOT KNOW THIS -- Here is the quote: It's pretty clear that Iranians had us for breakfast, lunch and dinner," said an intelligence source in Washington yesterday. "Iranian intelligence has been manipulating the US for several years through Chalabi. IMPEACHMENT hearings must be started immediately. These slickers got out slicked. Subject: Odd Stories, Odder Coverage

Dear Buzz,

Have you noticed how recent stories are blaming Rummy for incompetence, or blaming Chalabi for duplicity, or inferring that Tony Blair is in twilight?

Is it unreasonable to ask if Bush is simply a guy wearing a lamp shade standing in the corner in all of this uproar?

Somewhere in this administration someone had to give the green light to all of the fiascoes that have unfolded over the last year in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That green light had to come from Bush. To infer otherwise makes Bush look not in control if not totally incompetent. Why is the media using anybody but Bush as the bogeyman in the collage of failures and fiascoes that bespeckle this administration like a bad case of chickenpox?

However, I have noticed one thing setting in among more conservative elements that still back Bush, and that is denial. These, Bushists, simply have stopped believing that the administration is a disaster for America, and in some cases are making reverse use of known Bush lies in an attempt to say that John Kerry was the culprit.

Thanks for BuzzFlash, it's my homepage, I get to open up on the news first thing!

Regards,

Steve from Syracuse

Subject: Bush and his "Accidents" . . .

BuzzFlash,

I just got a glimpse of Bush after his "accident" on his bike on BartCop's site. Judging from the picture, he always seems to take it on the "chin." I can't help but wonder how many American citizens who have had drug or alcohol addictions can relate to these "accidents as well as the excuses used to explain these accidents." After all, it is my understanding that Bush never went through any programs when he stopped drinking and drugging . . . or maybe Bush's "Brain," also uses "Brawn." Hmmmmm . . .

Just wonderin . . .

Thanks BuzzFlash,

Shirley Smith

Subject: George Bush's 12 Step Program

1. We admitted we were powerless over Iraq--that our lives had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves (the United Nations) could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of Karl Rove as we understood Him.

4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our polling data and fundraising.

5. Admitted to Mommie, to ourselves, and to Dick Cheney the exact nature of our wrongs.

6. Were entirely ready to have The United Nations remove all these defects of character.

7. Humbly asked Karl Rove to remove our shortcomings.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and burned it.

9. Made direct amends to Halliburton wherever possible.

10. Continued to take personal inventory of polling data and when we were wrong, promptly blamed the Democrats.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our sinking polling data.

12. Having had a hell of a bender resulting in a bike wreck as the result of these missteps, we tried to carry this message to FOX NEWS, and to malpractice these principles in all our affairs, or until defeated in November.

I'll damned well drink to that!

Subject: Why would Kerry want Nader's advice

Dear Buzzy,

I don't want to criticize anyone's primary choice. I do want to do one thing, however. Get Bush out. Now, Bush and Cheney are just waiting for the V.P. pick so they can slap Kerry around as weak on defense. Well, if Kerry chooses Clark, all I can say to Bush and Cheney is.... good luck. Sorry, but if people can't wake up and see that Nader is being used, and probably paid, by the Republicans, to show up every four years, then we have been asleep for too long. Now Nader is giving Kerry advice on picking "safe" V.P. choices. Well, I can tell you that Kerry does not need Nader's advice. Notice Nader didn't mention Clark. After all, that would not be "safe" for Cheney at all. He wouldn't be able to hammer away at Kerry as "weak on defense" anymore. Couldn't everyone see through Nader's facade? He was suggesting Edwards or Gephardt as "safe" choices for Kerry, and at the same time Nader was slamming the Democrats for being weak on defense and national security. Sounds like he is writing a prescription for Kerry to fail. How could a Kerry/Clark ticket look weak on national security, for instance? Nader is saying Dems are weak on national security and trying to make that a national commercial, and then he is suggesting V.P. picks that would, indeed, be weaker on national security than Clark. What a plan. I wonder how much Nader does get for working for the GOP.

Subject: Screw Nader

Guys; why the hell is Ralph Nader telling John Kerry who he should get as a running mate with Kerry? The last time I looked, Kerry and Nader are opposing each other for the presidency. Shouldn't Kerry tell Nader where to get off? Kerry should tell old Ralphie boy that he will accept his advice if, and only if, Nader gets out of the race and supports Kerry. John Kerry is trying to become president and the only thing Nader is trying to do is ruin it. SCREW NADER!! Kerry should just ignore Nader and hopefully he'll go away.

Subject: Broadway Dark on Aug. 29?

GOP revelers are planning to attend Broadway plays on August 29 at the opening of their convention. The suggestion has been made that we impose on Broadway to show these clowns that they are not welcome in New York. We might petition all participants, actors, musicians, lighting technicians, ushers, ticket takers, stage crews, etc., to boycott all performances on August 29. Since the Busheviks are doing everything possible to make the world go permanently dark, it would be especially effective for Broadway to go temporarily dark on the night of August 29. It would put a little crimp in the sick, evil party being planned by a sick, evil party. And what a message it would send!

Subject: How to End the War

I suggest that the entire administration be sent to Iraq to run things. They will be sent, barefoot, naked, armed with broken box cutters, a box of pretzels, a mountain bike with training wheels, a dictionary, a copy of the "Idiots Guide to Government", a box of duct tape, and a bottle to catch and drink their own urine.

Subject: Photo of Bush with "Abrasions." Doesn't the Bike Story Remind You of the Odd Pretzel Story? We Ask, Where's the Broken Stein of Beer? 5/24

And we must never forget that mysterious Band-aid he was wearing the day after the presidential "election". Of course it would be irresponsible to assume automatically that they were all due to drunkenness. It could just as well be due to Aspartame poisoning because of all the diet pop he drinks (no, I'm serious - it's dangerous stuff), or maybe he's just very hot-tempered (perish the thought!). Given his extreme oedipal inferiority complex I imagine that those few moments when it looked as if Jeb might not have cooked the electorate properly would have been severely testing for him. At least that's what I thought when I saw the Band-aid.

But as for Rummy's drift towards extreme recklessness since his Nixon days, should we ascribe this to nasal inhalations, or is he just getting older and more afraid of death?
