Subj: My email to MSNBC

BuzzFlash,

I have enclosed my letter to MSNBC..Because "I can't take no mo!" Others who would like to voice their disgust may do so here: viewerservices@msnbc.com.

* * *

Dear MSNBC,

I think MSNBC is just plain awful lately

Joe Scarborough is a disgrace.

Where is the fairness?

Where is the Liberal Democrat View?

MSNBC should be ashamed of themselves.

The Conservatives need no help...they have Fox , AM radio, and almost all of the other media. Please change your format..you may be surprised..there are millions of us out here who are begging for something different...begging for a Left Wing TV Show. Why not be a pioneer on this regard...show some guts...try giving a show to a Left Wing Progressive...one who is aggressive and not afraid of the Right Wing...you may be surprised at the results.

I'm not talking about Chris Mathews..(he hates the Clintons) or Phil Donahue (although he did have decent ratings...) I'm talking about someone more aggressive, for example Al Franken, Jim Hightower, Greg Palast...or a slew of others...PLEASE TRY IT FOR THE MILLIONS OF DEMOCRATS WHO ARE HUNGRY FOR A SPOKESMAN FOR THE LEFT! WE ARE TIRED OF THE RIGHT WING MEDIA BIAS...besides it's boring, and I will never watch MSNBC, unless they decide to change their format!

Thank you

Subj: Howard Ahmanson behind: Episcopal split, California recall (McClintock), computerized voting machine companies

BuzzFlash,

Here's a story about the money behind some of the right wing's biggest efforts right now--and it's not Richard Mellon Scaife. It's his "neighbor" in western Pennsylvania: Howard Ahmanson. He's funding the pre-schism Episcopal conference in Dallas next month. He's bankrolling Mcclintock in California. He provided the start-up money for some of the computerized voting machine companies.

Re: Scott Anderson's article on Bill O'Reilly -

Buzz,

I must take exception with one point. When he talks about Mr. O'Reilly gathering his friends together every two years for a trip and suggests that Mr. O'Reilly might be paying for this to make it happen; he goes on to say that if this is the case "Hell, I'll go". I cannot imagine that under any circumstances, a free trip to hawaii, a new Mercedes, etc, etc that he would really want to spend any time with O'Reilly. I can think of no worse fate than this, with the possible exception of a blind date with AC.

Subj: Bush invasion of Iraq

Dear BuzzFlash,

Being that the rich are to cowardly to participate in the so called war with Iraq and the middle and poor class are fighting and dying in this war for their benefit it would only seem natural that the Bush administration would try to balance the scale of injustice by doing the right thing.

They could start by rescinding the tax cuts for the wealthiest 2%, which would more than pay for their requested 87 billon $. But I am sure that because of corruption and greed that they would never entertain that suggestion. Dick Cheney has already stated on Sunday "meet the press" that the administration would never agreed to rescind these tax cuts because it would hurt small business. We know that small business does not represent the wealthiest 2%. These people have lied so much to the American people that they think they can perpetrate any lie in the disguise of truth and the lie will be accepted. We can blame this perception on the mainstream media and the gullibility of the American people. If the media would unveil the truth about Bush and the public wasn't so naive there would never have been a war in Iraq and without the tax cuts the deficit wouldn't be spiraling out of control. I feel that the mainstream media has betrayed the American people to the extent it will probably take another generation to recover. Despite W Bush America is still a great country, but we are controlled by a lousy media.

James Epperson

Buzz,

I thought it might be an interesting effort to recount the Bush Junta's lies on a day by day basis. We're in that time frame where you could say "One year ago today, Bush said....., Rummy said....., Condi said....., Dick said...., etc. .......... " then follow up with the date and story the lie was refuted.

Should be able to carry this right up to election day.

Subj: Sleight of Hand at the UN

Buzz,

Get ready to hear every one of the Bushies liberally pepper their offerings on this Sunday's talk shows with their new buzzword, "proliferators." This will replace "evil-doers" in the W lexicon.

And is there any American who didn't swell with pride when Bush vowed to help the UN take on the pimps of the world and rid the planet of the sex trade? That alone should be reason enough to give him (and his PNAC-dominated administration) another crack at depleting the Treasury and dismantling what's left of The New Deal.

Subj: Republican corruption in Connecticut

While visiting in Connecticut last week, I read the Hartford Courant. There were several articles about the Republican governor, who has paid a fine for an ethics violation, his spokeswoman resigned last week, the director of public works resigned after receiving $190,000 in free architectural work from a firm he deals with, and more. Of course, the Republican former mayor of Waterbury had problems with underage girls. Perhaps you should consider looking into this.

Subj: Tiger slain in Baghdad zoo

Dear Buzz;

The news item about the tiger killed by partying US soldiers in the Baghdad zoo got a lot more play than did the Aug 9 NY Times article which included the account of a disturbing execution of two Iraqis by US snipers.

Here's a letter I sent to my congressional representatives (by the way, I received no responses from my three republican representatives -- Kay Bailey Hutchison, John Cornyn and Lamar Smith)

* * *

August 9, 2003

Dear Congressman Smith;

I read something very disturbing this morning. A N.Y. Times article in the Austin American-Statesman said: "...U.S. snipers firing from 100 yards away killed two suspected Iraqi arms dealers in a market...The Iraqis were given no opportunity to surrender."

What's going on? Apparently our troops now are summarily executing people? The president has already declared an end to hostilities, meaning that it's no longer a war zone and we can't just shoot people.

My wife and I are very upset about this.

We ask that you demand from the DoD in the most urgent language, an accounting of this incident on our behalf.

A Lt. Col. Steve Russell is quoted in the article. The snipers he commands and anyone who ordered this atrocity should be charged with murder.

Please respond to me promptly regarding this extremely serious matter.

Subj: What about Diebold??

Dear BuzzFlash.com -

What about Diebold? The ACLU may have missed the real issue, please share. *PLEASE* FIGHT FOR THE SIMPLE SOLUTION OF PAPER AUDITING OF TOUCH SCREEN SYSTEMS. The danger here is WAY more significant than the problem of punchcard chads. Please see the story that appeared yesterday in Salon. There is no story more important than this:

This will probably make you good and angry like no 2000 Florida debacle or Cali recall circus ever could. What happened in Georgia in 2000? The issue should be in newspapers and on TV and absolutely needs to be tackled before Nov '04. Try to get through to the ACLU higher-ups. Write to your editors and congress people and states attorneys general. One-person one-vote is what we've got. Without that, citizens lose control for the long haul. Please spread this story. Subj: A REAL Texan Speaks

Dear Buzz,

A friend of mine has forwarded his input to another REAL Texan who will be in attendance at the Texas Senate gallery on Wednesday morning, just in case the issue of redistricting comes up. This is the message which he would like the legislators to hear. (Permission has been given for BuzzFlash to post this, if you would like.) I think my friend's fiery delivery sums it up perfectly.

Regards,

Elaine
? 9/11 ?

*****

Exactly how would this redistricting plan stop "big government"?

Just exactly how is redistricting going to reduce the state and federal tax burdens for everybody?

Just exactly how is it going to reduce the deficit or balance the budget or make health care accessible and affordable?

Just exactly how is redistricting going to lower the jobless rate?

And exactly how will it improve education and public safety?

Is the purpose of it to create better representation or buddy representation?

Now, if redrawing means we can get a whole slew of new folks in there who have the guts to care about Texas and Texans, that would be great. But I don't think that's what it means. Isn't it really redrawing lines to disperse and reduce the folks they don't want to represent anyway? Show us some backbone, you Ladies and Gentlemen who purport to represent us. If that's how you feel, just stand up and say you don't want to represent them anymore. Don't make us pay to redraw a map.

On the other hand, they could show some real fortitude by redrawing their internal lines of distinction and beginning to do the right thing by actually representing everybody in their respective districts. But redrawing? What they plan is more like erasing.

But I forgot just exactly who it is we are talking about. A bunch of private sector flops who can't put anything together long enough to create their own retirement, so they just get elected, kowtow to the big business interests so they can keep getting re-elected, and all of that so they can cozy up to the BIG GOVERNMENT TEAT FOREVER. What a bunch of wimps.

Of course this is all just my opinion and I have nothing to back any of it up except a huge tax bill.

Sent to: TheWestWing@nbc.com; nbcshows@nbc.com

Subj: my email to The West Wing/NBC

To whom it may concern:

So, you are going to make "The West Wing" more bipartisan. Why? "West Wing" does so well in the ratings* because of what it is: a voice for the MAJORITY of the people of this country. If you take this right-leaning fork in the road, do not be surprised next year when "TWW" does not win its fifth Emmy.

Are you trying to make it more 'successful' by taking it to the right, emulating the great success of "Mr. Sterling"? “Mr. S.”is the show about a man (son of a former governor) taking over a vacant-through-untimely-death Senate seat, only to turn out NOT to be a Democrat like his father but a so-called 'Independent'. This was the show the public clamored for and they tuned...out. Sorry. "Mr. S." was cancelled, wasn't it? How could that be? Didn't people turn to it in droves, seeking an answer to the left? After all, it was bipartisan!

You may wonder why "Mr. Sterling" was a failure. I don't. My theory is that people do not want to see D.C. as it is, but as they wish it were! We can catch the reality of D.C. by tuning in to CNN (or the fantasy, Karl Rove-approved version on Fox *News*).

Spare us your ridiculous explanations. You caved. You are listening to the wrong people and you are taking "The West Wing" down a road to failure. You have capitulated to the squeaky, annoying wheels of the right. Check the polls, folks. Gen. Clark wins if the election were today.

Fans of "The West Wing" lose today, unfortunately, because you have no backbone or vision.

Liz Taylor
Houston, TX

*Oh, yes, about the ratings. It has been mentioned that the ratings for "TWW" fell last season. Why? Because, without prior notification NBC pulled it (READ: CENSORED) in the time before/during the Invasion of Iraq. It was nearly impossible to figure out when it would be on. There were no prior announcements that it was being removed from its regular slot and certainly no announcements as to when it would return.

Were viewers upset? Apparently so. When I called our local affiliate in Houston (that's in Texas, folks, home to Bush I) to complain, there was a recording disavowing the schedule change and urging callers to get in touch with the NBC home office. The explanation for the recording: they had been OVERWHELMED by complaints.

Subj: Suggestion

BuzzFlash,

From a compatriot of mine named "BushTwak"......but I think it shouldn't be confined just to our brave servicemen. I think EVERY American who opposes Bush and this administration, should send a sock (in commemoration of the "stuffed sock" photo op on the aircraft carrier in May) preferably a worn, smelly unwashed sock, to the White House.....with a card that says, "Dear Mr. Bush, STUFF THIS ONE!"

"I think every serviceman shanghaied into fighting Dumbyella's oil war ought to pack up one sock worn during the invasion and/or occupation and send it to Dumbyella...

At least that way, the next time he wants to prance around the deck of an Aircraft Carrier with a flight suit...

At least something about him..."

Will have seen action.

Subj: On Smirk's Faux interview

Hi Buzz,

I have an observation regarding The Unelected Fraud's Faux interview with Brit Hume last night. I've noticed it in previous interviews, but don't know if anybody else has detected it or can verify what I've observed.

Have you noticed that when Bush speaks before a camera, his voice has been electronically modified to reverberate, or echo ever-so-slightly? I'd love to hear Faux's logic for adding this dimension to his voice, but I suspect it's supposed to add a subtle note of weight and authority to everything he says. I also noticed this the night he gave the order to bomb Baghdad. He was supposed to be speaking from the White House's tv studio, which I'm going to assume is well-insulated and would not provide echoes, and yet his voice had this modulated, echo-like quality.

Anyway, last night the Chimp's voice carried this subtle echo, and Brit Hume's voice did not. It can only be deliberate electronic manipulation. That, or Smirk's head is its very own echo chamber. If you have the stomach to sit through five minutes of listening to him speak, check it out and tell me if I'm wrong. I'd love to know if I'm hallucinating.

If Faux and the other networks are deliberately altering his voice to give it weight, heft, and resonance, it's distortion and propaganda at its most insidious and obscene. Then again, look who we're dealing with.

Keep up the excellent work. We'll beat them down yet.

Subj: Our Government "IS" for sale!

In the letter titled "Iraq for Sale" a BuzzFlash reader stated:

"We invade their country, kill and maim tens of thousands of their people, spread cluster bombs around their countryside, and on top of that, take possession of their economy in order to sell it to the highest bidder for the profit of private companies -- we are not even doing this for the American government (which would be very wrong in and of itself)"

Well, I'm sorry to inform that the shrub administration has announced a goal of privatizing 50% of the jobs in the federal workforce by 2006. They have many "Competitive-Sourcing" (their cynical way of saying "Out-Sourcing") studies underway in all branches of the current federal workforce and have given each agency a %15 goal of jobs to be privatized in the current year toward the goal. Add to that the charter school movement, vouchers, faith based initiatives, huge deficits and debt, and it is soon very clear that these repuglicans who scheme so ardently to get into power have as their prime motive the dismantling of our Democratic government as we know it.

All to appease their basic character flaw of SELFISHNESS. That is why they do not want to pay taxes toward a government "of the people, for the people ......". They resent having to contribute anything that is for the benefit of anyone but themselves

Subject: Parade of Fools

BuzzFlash,

It’s surprising that your readership is just now discovering that Parade is a right wing rag. Hardly a Sunday goes by that their Personality Parade does not vilify some left leaning celebrity type for not having their counter culture (brainwashed) views of patriotism, or for somehow leading us to hell in a hand basket because of their hedonistic (not puritanical) lifestyle.

The Intelligence Report often presents conservative views as being mainstream ideas, and even Ask Marilyn, a self-professed savant, has bought into the foreign policies (kill them all now before some of them may kill us some day) of the current administration.

A couple of weeks ago they had an O’Reilly like cover feature on Arnold, also rife with more puff than proof. Countless times I have been tempted to launch a missive deriding them for their obvious partisan views, but why bother when trash movers never apologize for the stench they emanate.

Read it and weep - for your country that is.

Subj: O'REILLY's 6-Months' Anniversary: Spinning & Stalking

We have just passed a milestone of momentous proportions. On 03-18-03, Bill O'REILLY said this:

******QUOTE*****

http://www.unknownnews.net/wow.html

" And I said on my program, if, if the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clear he had nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush administration again." —Bill O'Reilly, Fox News March 18, 2003

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,85449,00.html 04-29-03

If there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, this is very bad news for the country. America loses credibility, people who hate us have more ammunition, there is no question the USA will be damaged in worldwide opinion.

http://www.naplesnews.com/03/09/perspective/d981199a.htm

To quote Bill O'Reilly of Fox News, "And I said on my program, if, if the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he had nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush administration again." —March 18, 2003

*****UNQUOTE****

Although the KAY report that was supposed to produce the WMDs continues to be delayed, on 09-23-03 O'REILLY's cable network consultant said that his inside information was that the KAY report would NOT show any such thing, just PAPERS. Did O'REILLY keep his word and apologize and declare unending distrust of the Shrub mal-administration? No. He did what he does BEST: Spin himself silly. He said that the inconclusive report will only fuel justification for both sides, those believing and those disbelieving the Shrubbites.

He then went on with his STALKING of Al FRANKEN. He proclaimed that the state of political discourse has reached a VICIOUSNESS towards Shrub that has never before been seen, with FRANKEN serving as the point man on "viciousness". Huh? MUSKIE was not smeared? DUKAKIS? GORE? Oh, that CLINTON fellow who had a FAKE impeachment perpetrated on him by a band of hypocritical adulterers?

O'REILLY continues to slander FRANKEN with allegations of "mental instability." Tonight he was saying that FRANKEN is the equivalent of NIXON's Donald SEGRETTI, that he is being paid by the DNC to host official Dem party events, such as one where he called unabashed wingnut Brit HUME an effing-ahole.

O'REILLY continues to deceive himself about his "independence", his motives, his obsessiveness, and his claim on "truth". After his clash with FRANKEN at the book event, he proclaimed that FRANKEN would not be "in my presence" ever again, some sort of royal reference. He calls people who refuse to guest on his program and submit to his verbal and emotional abuse "cowards". But he continually attacks his targets in their absence without possibility of defending themselves (though, why should people have to defend themselves?). This would be----------cowardice---on his part.

I wish your site would do an investigation of Parade magazine. Ever since they did the personality note about Chelsea Clinton with the the comment "an apple doesn't fall far from the tree," (about enjoying herself in England, Europe) I've been noticing that this so-called magazine is totally biased. Dear BuzzFlash,

Thank Maureen for me. It made my skin crawl to read through her latest editorial, and to think she bravely sifted through the raw sewage of the lapdog media to compile all that the fulsome Bushpraise..! Well, I don't know where she gets her strength, but I appreciate it and I intend to personally send her article to all the "vapid ninnies" she so skillfully denounces. I want to rub their faces in it.

BTW, I wonder if I misremember the quote about waking up and telling oneself that there's been a military coup and it all makes sense? Maureen attributes it to a state dept. person. I remember it being said by Paul Krugman in that British article about his death threats.

Subj: Torquemada Justice

BuzzFlash,

John "Torquemada" Ashcroft has directed prosecutors go for the stiffest sentences possible. Nuns protesting at a nuclear site; 65 year old comedian Tommy Chong for selling bongs; a 62 year old humanitarian for aiding Iraqis about to be bombed to smithereens--are all going to prison. I feel safer already.

Too bad the same zealotry didn't apply to Bush's #1 campaign contributor Ken Lay when he and his cronies were energetically scamming Californians out of $45 billion bucks. The Justice Department couldn't be bothered to peek at the Mt. Everest of documentation.

Could it be that ordinary folks are being thrown in the can with abandon because Citigroup, Bush's #5 campaign contributor, is turning the selling of prison bonds and privatizing of prisons, into one of America's fastest growing industries. Maybe that's why a greater percentage of America's population is in prison than in any other country on earth.

Hopefully one of President Wesley Clark's first acts will be to install New York's wonderboy Attorney General Eliot Spitzer in Ashcroft's place. Spitzer wanted to go after Bush buds Ken Lay and Sandy Weill (Citigroup's "predatory by design" CEO.) But as he publicly stated, his hands were "tied by the White House."

Under Ashcroft, Lady Justice isn't blind...but in a bind.

Subj: 87 Billion

I am so afraid that the Democrats will give in and give away 87 billion of our hard earned money for the reconstruction of Iraq. I wish there is not a repeat of the blank check to war. This time we are not going to believe lines like:

"I am approving this amount because of our troops, but I do not agree with spending so much of taxpayers money in the reconstruction of Iraq"

Any Democrat lawmaker that comes up with such a line should immediately receive a pink slip from the taxpayers since they are condoning the fleecing of America by a group of lawless and greedy politicians. I suggest that they cancel the tax cuts for the people earning over $100,000; the death tax should not be adopted since it will only benefit those outrageously rich; their pay increase should be eliminated, etc.

We should all remind the lawmakers that they are OUR EMPLOYEES and they should do what the majority of us desire and demand.

We must demand term and benefit limits. Enough is enough.

Lets get our country back.

Our military should NOT be risking their lives to protect the oil fields for Unocal, Exxon, Mobil, etc. If those oil corporations want protection let them hire their own security guards and pay for those guards out of their own funds, taxpayers' money should not be used for that purpose. We pay DEARLY for their products, we do not receive them FREE of charge.

Subj: Bush's FOX Interview

Judging by FOX News' transcript, Brit Hume's interview with Bush went pretty much as one might have expected, but there was one tidbit that made even my tired eyes pop:

BUSH: I would never justify - - I would never use God to promote foreign policy decisions.

Excuse me???!!!???!!! Aside from the fact that no such question was asked, how many times have we heard this guy claim to have been chosen by God to be where he is and do what he's doing? How many times in the run-up to the Iraq invasion did he tell the world that God was on our side and would grant us victory? He was quoted in the Israeli paper Haaretz as follows:

"God told me to strike at al-Qaida and I struck them, and then He instructed me to strike at Saddam."

Bush's apologists can twist themselves into pretzels trying to re-interpret - or excuse as "misstatement" - his myriad fabrications, but every FOX-watching friend-of-O'Reilly knows in their heart-of-hearts that their boy went on national TV Monday night and told a big, fat L-I-E (involving The Almighty, no less).

Subj: An Angel debates the Prince of Darkness

Dear BuzzFlash,

For those who missed Jim Lehrer's News Hour on 9/22 --living angel, humanitarian and founder of San Francisco's Global Exchange, Medea Benjamin eviscerated Richard Pearle "The Prince of Darkness."

Pearle was on the show arguing for his boss's $87 billion additional bucks for Iraq. Medea had just been on a fact finding tour of Baghdad. Something the cowardly Pearle wouldn't have the guts or the brains to do.

She confirmed what we all know and worst. Its a humanitarian disaster, perpetrated in our name, with our money. The Iraqi people are enraged and keenly aware that they aren't benefiting at all. That the US taxpayer dough is going straight into the deep pockets of Halliburton and Bechtel. While our GIs--lacking basic supplies, water and still facing pay cuts--are guarding their corporate works.

Hell, no we shouldn't give Bush $87 billion more. The UN should receive $43.5 billion and the keys to Baghdad. And our troops should come home from the hellhole Bush created from his inhumane, illegal, insane oil war. And now. The situation will not improve until the US leaves, and the UN takes over.

Days after Bush attacked Iraq, Pearle referred to the "bleating liberals on the Hudson" braying "thank god for the death of the UN." Well, at least the administration has finally figured out that the UN is on the East River in NYC. Where Bush is at the moment, dining on $160 billion dollars worth of Iraqi crow.

Subj: New Plea Bargain Limits Could Swamp Courts, Experts Say

In today's NY Times story "New Plea Bargain Limits Could Swamp Courts, Experts Say" they relate how Attorney General (Check their voter registration - if they're not Republicans, lock em' up) Ashcroft sent a memo to all US Attorneys directing them to refuse plea bargaining and go for the longest possible sentences.

This plan would provide a huge increase in prisoners, as longer sentences will mean a growing prison population. {With private prison companies now donating million$ to politicians, and prison services being one of the only growing areas in the Bush economy, this isn't surprising.)

However, in another of today's NY Times stories, "Judges Seek Repeal of Law on Sentencing" we read how the Federal Judges who hear these "no plea bargain" cases, led by Supreme Court Chief Justice Rehnquist, are currently fighting to get back the authority to give lesser sentences than current guidelines force on them.

So, convict them in a manner that grants longer sentences and pleases the average voter, but then let the judge reduce the sentence. This Bush administration could give swindlers lessons on the old Bait & Switch!

Subj: Bush's Interview

BuzzFlash,

Brit Hume's interview with King George on Monday night earned the lowest viewership rating for that time period. The show came in dead last. Far more people watched NBC's "Fear Factor," which goes to prove what I have thought for a long time: It is easier to watch people eat leaches, than to hear George Bush's lies.

Subj: George W. Kowalski? Bush's Macho Facade Goes Limp - Maureen Farrell

Hi,

Thanks for Maureen Farrell!

'The Washington Post's Howard Kurtz wrote that "The secretary of defense is hotter than the exhaust fumes on a B-52. Everyone's genuflecting before the Pentagon powerhouse," while the National Review's Andrew Stuttaford reported that "with every appearance, some say, [Rumsfeld] is making additional conquests, not of Herat this time, but of hearts, the hearts of women all over America, each beating a little harder at the thought of a man who, these ladies like to believe, doesn't need the help of a B-52 to make the earth move.'

ah ja??? Bush and even overaged Rummy are to be sexy??? What kind of males can talk such nonsense? Beta males, adoring and following the alpha males, loyal and submissive are said to act like these writers - beta males of chimps and other apes, especially baboons, AFAK

i know, Maureen Farrell cited also women - but these women must have mechanical working brains, so their body can be much stronger and faster then the mechanics on the top. Believe me, no competent marketing company would "use" Mr. Bush as male sexpot - or can you remember only one (!) Mr.Bush-like sexpot on TV or in magazines?

- if you hear this ridiculous "choosy women choose macho"-thing, you would be really disappointed by all females, but i've read, that many american women are against bush (because of the real evil effects on social life, the growing joblessness and poverty, the lost schools and medical attendance) - these women must realize, what's going on, so there's hope for mankind!

Bevier

PS: "I'm the commander, see?" he [Bush] told Bob Woodward. "I do not need to explain why I say things." - how democratic!

Subj: Rude, Rude, Rude

Dear BuzzFlash,

Bush offered no apology to the rest of the world for unleashing the policy of preemptive attack and demanded the rest of the world clean up OUR mess. But to make matters worse he doesn't stay to hear Chirac's speech. Chirac had to listen to Bush's pathetic rhetoric, yet Bush isn't man enough to remain. How insulting was that?

Not only did Bush leave but Powell and Rice as well fled rather than face any criticism. It is embarrassing to be represented by this bunch.

Subj: George W. Kowalski

Dear BuzzFlash,

Maureen Farrell's article "George W. Kowalski" with her recap of the media swoonings over baby bush and his minions was great! I'd like to add one more. Remember how bush made a joke about his choking on a pretzel. This was mentioned on the Today Show and Katie Couric said she thought he was "so cute" and giggled like a pre-teen girl infatuated with a movie star. And I'll never forget how utterly hostile she was when interviewing Al Gore before the 2000 election. I never watch any show that includes her.

Incidentally, I emailed my Congressmen several months ago and told them that if they wanted to find out how people felt about issues, they should have one of their staff checking BuzzFlash.com every day, especially the Mailbag.
