One-Party State: The Republican Monarchy.

A BUZZFLASH EDITORIAL

If the Republican Party weren't so successfully tied into basing the sale of their rule on deceptive Orwellian phrases -- that mean the opposite of what they say -- they would be honest and run on the slogan that most characterizes their anti-democracy government: "Looking Backward."

Yes, looking backward is what the Republican Party does best: looking backward to a nation that is governed by one outlook, one political party, one dynasty. They are looking back to the time before the American Revolution when America was shackled under the Monarchy of England, and oppression and suppression were the kindling wood that lit the fire of the American Revolution.

Under the Bush Cartel, we have experienced a de-revolution based on deception and cynical sloganeering in which the word liberty becomes the actuality of suppression, in which freedom becomes big brother monitoring, in which economic opportunity becomes "Royal Court" cronyism, and in which accountability becomes replaced with serial lying.

Tom DeLay, the former exterminator, who is one of the scariest men around, a snake who thinks God has chosen him to impose a Biblical world view on America, said that Clinton deserved to be impeached because he had not governed America according to God's word. How exactly DeLay (who was known as "hot tub Tom" during his days in the Texas Legislature) is privy to God's thinking about the issue is beyond us, but that's generally par for the course when you are dealing with whack jobs who have assembled unprecedented power.

DeLay is the second most powerful man in America, after Dick Cheney. The two of them together -- along with Nino Scalia controlling the judiciary and the presidential election outcomes -- follow the game plan laid out by Grover Norquist and Newt Gingrich: America must be ruled by the party of God and Mammon. The non-believers, any non-Republicans who have not accepted Christ, must be monitored and silenced. Give only lip service to the false siren of democracy, while ruling with an iron fist.

The corporate media, which benefits from the one-party corporate crony state, has been enormously obliging in carrying forward the deceptive White House messages of the day. No matter what reality contradicts the Cheney/Bush/DeLay knack for lying, the mainstream press helps them accomplish Karl Rove's number one strategy: if you repeat a lie five times, it becomes the truth.

Because what is reality anymore, if not the pundits and the skewed news editing choices and biased commentary on cable television that defies all common sense? The latest CBS controversy is just one example. How much media time has been spent decrying allegedly false documents whose contents, ironically, have been proven true? How much media time has been spent, on the other hand, on the White House's outing of a CIA operative who specialized in tracking Weapons of Mass Destruction? If you don't think the news editing priorities of the mainstream media are being dictated from the White House, count yourself among the coalition of the stupid.

Just a short time ago, White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card was quoted in the Boston Globe as saying that Bush regards Americans as he would a young kid. "It struck me as I was speaking to people in Bangor, Maine, that this president sees America as we think about a 10-year-old child," Card said.

That's what you get in a one-party state, a life long failure who fashions himself God's chosen leader. Maybe God often picks the runt of the litter to lead one-party states. We don't know. We are humble people at BuzzFlash.com. We don't claim to have God's ear, and we don't believe Americans are 10-year-olds. On the other hand, the junior in the White House is certainly a victim of arrested development -- and is well on his way to creating complete chaos in the world and leaving this country more vulnerable to terrorist attack.

It wasn't long ago that conventional wisdom touted the theory that Americans believed in divided government, that no party should control all of the branches of the United States ruling triad. Certainly the last couple of years have proved that conventional wisdom to be sage, considering the ruinous results of Republican rule.

We have a Madison Avenue government that claims it is providing us with Kevlar vests, when they are just wrapping the nation in defective tin foil. The bullets aren't going to be stopped by tin foil, but the mainstream media, which gains its profits from advertising, is into enabling the deception. Even an utter incompetent can run -- and ruin -- a nation with a teleprompter and an amen media chorus providing cheerleading commentary and news coverage.

But the concept of the one-party state is inherently corrupt. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. That was the case for Stalin, for Hitler, for Franco, for Castro, and for the Bush Dynasty.

It was also the case for King George, the one our American patriots rebelled against.

The Republican Party has brought us back to pre-Revolutionary times. We are just errant, incapable children of the Monarchy, Bush and his Royal Court believe. The "wise" king will make choices for us, because we do not have the wisdom of the royal bloodline or the divine Biblical worldview at our disposal.

Call it what you will, but the Republican Party is looking backward to a form of government that is a stranger to democracy. It is the one we rebelled against in 1776.

Now, once again, King George is on the throne, distracting the masses from the true ruin of his rule. Democracy is not to be left to the teeming hordes of American citizens. We are only a bunch of 10-year-olds. Trust the effete bloodline of King George Bush.

Democracy is just an obstacle that hinders him from achieving his ultimate goal: the devolution of democracy itself.

This is our present and our future, if Bush and Cheney keep distracting Americans from the issues at hand and lying with abandonment.

The soul of the patriots of 1776 must be reborn.

Liberty must battle its way through the lies, deceptions and anti-democracy reign of the Bush Dynasty.

It will be no easy task.

It wasn't in 1776 either.

We either look backward to a one-party state, or we look forward to democracy.

Those are our choices.

One final note: no Republican should be elected to Congress claiming they are moderates and will defy Tom DeLay. In the end, on a close vote, they always do the devil's bidding. They don't want their children or grandchildren to grow up like Rosemary's Child. They can recognize a set of horns when they see one.

A vote for any Republican is a vote for a one-party state.
