GOP Hypocrite of the Week: Jeb Bush

A BUZZFLASH EDITORIAL

Listen to the GOPHOTW HERE.

Welcome back to the BuzzFlash.com GOP Hypocrite of the Week.

What were we thinking? This is the 35th BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week, and Jeb Bush hasn't yet received the honor!

But, today is the day.

In the name of democracy, Jeb is preparing to steal another presidential election for his 'bro. If that doesn't get you into the World Wide Hypocrisy (WWH) finals, what will?

That's right, after successfully purging thousands of black people from the voter rolls in Florida in 2000 and denying entitled citizens, almost all Democrats, the right to vote, Jeb is back to try it again.

You know the scam. It was the infamous "felons purge." Greg Palast exposed it as a calculated effort to keep as many blacks from voting in Florida as possible. Of course, Jeb and his frightful cohab -- we mean cohort -- Katherine Harris claimed that they were just following Florida law by keeping felons from voting. But what they intentionally did was knowingly expunge such a wide net of names that they would also keep thousands of valid voters from exercising their Constitutional right to choose a president.

This one anti-democracy crime alone cost Al Gore Florida, even before Nino Scalia and his felonious five stole it for Bush.

Well, the national Democratic Party didn't make a stink about Jeb and Katherine denying Americans the right to vote, so, guess what, Jeb is back with a newer and better "felons purge" in 2004. Why isn't the national Democratic Party filing an injunction suit against its implementation? Good Question.

The 2004 Jeb version of minority voter disenfranchisement is so rife with irregularities that Ed Kast, the Florida State Director of Elections, just abruptly resigned. But "rife with irregularities" is just what Jeb and his latest puppet, Florida Secretary of State Glenda Hood, want. Their goal, remember, is to make mistakes.

It's a numbers game. The more valid black voters kept from casting their ballots, the easier it is for Jeb's brother, the Village Idiot of the World, to steal the Sunshine State in 2004.

Jeb and Hood claim that they have a more efficient process this time. Right, more efficient at making sure a lot of Black Americans are denied their right to select a president.

In fact it's so despicable that CNN, a Bush brown nose if there ever was one, is suing Florida because Jeb will not make available to the public the list of alleged felons to be used in the voters' purge.

Sounds like the old Soviet Union to us.

If stealing democracy and violating Constitutional Rights, in the name of a fair election -- for a second time -- doesn't merit the honor of being named the 35th BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week, what would?

Jeb, the honor is all yours. It takes a family of Joe Stalin style hypocrites to steal a country, and Jeb is just the family member to do it.

Until next week, just remember our motto at BuzzFlash.com: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time.

Catch up with you soon.
