GOP Hypocrite of the Week: Orrin Hatch A BUZZFLASH EDITORIAL Listen to the GOPHOTW HERE. Welcome to the BuzzFlash.com Hypocrite of the Week. Okay, let's get it out on the table. Orrin Hatch is a creepy guy. Very creepy. Like Bush, he hides behind the cover of being a devout religious man. This is supposed to forgive this guy from the sin of being a smug, sanctimonious liar. I mean, he gets away with rank hypocrisy, lying, and his tolerance and condoning of all sorts of Republican Party hanky panky. Hatch, of course, denies that he would ever lie, claiming that he's a Mormon -- and Mormons always tell the truth. Well, we guess there's an exception to every rule, and Hatch is quite the exception. This guy will piss on your head in the morning and claim it's raining. Then he'll run ahead of you into the washroom, steal the last stall before you can get to it, cut off the plumbing so you can't wash your hands, and trip you as you leave the john. And then, when you call the cops to say you're being stalked and harassed, he'll accuse you of slandering a deeply religious man. Yes, Orrin Hatch is some piece of work. Whatever Hatch does or says is in the name of God, but when someone else does or says the exact same thing that Hatch did, they’re always blamed for doing the devil's work. Take Hatch's hypocrisy concerning his denunciation of Democrats for objecting to a handful of Bush's radical, extremist judicial nominations: only six out of 168. Hatch claims that the Democrats are acting in an unconstitutional, destructive and racist manner. Yet, of course, it was Hatch who orchestrated the opposition to Clinton judicial appointments. From 1995 to 2000, more than 60 of President Clinton's nominees were denied votes or hearings by Hatch. He regularly found ways to keep Clinton's nominees from getting approved by the Senate. Hatch acts as the role of a pious protector of the Constitution, but he's just another low-life GOP hypocrite. Heck, Hatch is so out there that he was issuing statements supporting Rick Santorum for comparing homosexuality to bestiality at the same time he was condoning polygamy at a community meeting in Utah. Hatch blew off concerned citizens who knew of young girls being forced into polygamist marriages, but Orrin would have none of such claims. The polygamists he knows are fine community members, he implied. Hatch just oozes hypocrisy, like a festering pustule. Most Mormons are decent, honest people. Orrin Hatch is not among them. Until next week, just remember our BuzzFlash slogan: So many Republican Hypocrites, so little time. Catch up with you soon! A BUZZFLASH EDITORIAL |
