GOP Hypocrite of the Week: Donald Rumsfeld

Welcome to the BuzzFlash.com Hypocrite of the Week.

You know, Republicans have successfully adopted the strategy that goes something like this: If you are going to lie, lie big.

In fact, lie very big.

Actually, make the lie SO big that no one can accuse you of lying because they would appear ridiculous.

That's the Republican big lie in a nutshell. Make your lie so brazen and outrageously audacious no one would believe that you would be dishonest enough to be so untruthful.

How else can you explain this week's BuzzFlash hypocrite: the uber prevaricator, Donald Rumsfeld.

As the Bush Cartel misled Americans into war at the beginning of this year, The Donald claimed that Iraq had stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction. He also asserted that Iraqis would welcome U.S. soldiers with open arms.

But recently, Rumsfeld testily told a reporter: "Never said that. Never did. You may remember it well, but you're thinking of someone else. You can't find, anywhere, me saying anything like either of these two things you just said I said."

Okay, what do we do with people like this? In the old days, if Rumsfeld was an 8-year-old, you’d wash his mouth out with soap. But, he's a little too big for that now. In any sane administration, he would have been forced to resign many moons ago. But, you know, this is the Bush administration -- and the bolder the lie, the more you are valued. After all, the ability to lie is the benchmark by which you are judged under the reign of the Bush Cartel.

Now, under Rumsfeld's watch, we have seen nearly 400 American soldiers die in Iraq. At least 2,000 have been wounded. War profiteering is rampant among defense contractors as our soldiers are blown to bits. The most advanced army in the world is being routed by a ragtag group of opponents. Our soldiers are under equipped and our veterans are being shafted.

And Rumsfeld, the hypocrite and liar who loves to perform for the press, still has his day job as America's Secretary of Defense.

With this guy overseeing our defense, America might be taken down by two kids with a sling shot.

What a loser.

And that's all we get from the Bush Cartel are recycled losers, liars and louses. Hypocrites one and all.

People say that you wouldn't recognize Rumsfeld if you passed him on the street, that he is a lot shorter than he appears.

We'd recognize him right quick. He's the one with a lie in his mouth and blood on his hands.
