GOP Hypocrite of the Week: Phil Giordano

A BUZZFLASH EDITORIAL

Listen to the GOPHOTW HERE.

This week our BuzzFlash Hypocrite of the Week segment is dedicated to those Republican Loyalists behind bars.

They are a forlorn lot, quickly forgotten by their Republican hypocrite brethren, left to stew in their own jail cells with little to think about but their erstwhile days of GOP glory. All they have is time on their hands to plot their comebacks as born again Christians.

We have chosen former Republican mayor of Waterbury, Connecticut, Phil Giordano, for this week's honors. Phil came to mind because the prostitute who provided her pre-teen daughter and niece to Giordano for sex was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison. That's right -- GOP Giordano had girls as young as 8 and 10 perform oral sex on him in his Mayoral office just a couple of years ago.

No, we are not making this up. It doesn't get any seedier than this, does it?

But, of course, you never heard much about this sexual child abuse from the Pill Poppin Porker, Rush Limbaugh, FOX News, or Jerry Falwell, did you? That's because they never cast light on the depravity that is just below the surface of many Republican hypocrites. They are still obsessed about that consensual hummer Bubba Bill got in the White House from an adult woman.

Well, Republican Brother Phil is currently serving 37 years in federal prison for accidentally getting caught being sexually serviced by little -- very little -- girls as their relative looked on, we repeat, in the Waterbury Mayor's office.

By the way, did we mention that GOP Giordano was the Republican senatorial candidate against Joe Lieberman in 2000? Does anyone have any photos of Republican Phil embracing George W. Bush as he campaigned in Connecticut that year? We’d love to see them.

George might also want to know that the mom of the two young girls is now, well, going to prison. The judge told the woman she was also a victim in this case, and that GOP Giordano bears most of the responsibility for what happened.

"He's educated," the judge told the mom.

“He's a lawyer. He's an elected official. He had all the advantages that you never had. He abused you," the judge said.

And Buzzflash might add, he’s a family-values Republican -- that GOP Giordano.

Poor Phil. We don't have his current address and cell number, otherwise you could send him a sympathy card.

And until next week, just remember our BuzzFlash slogan: So many Republican Hypocrites, so little time.

Catch up with you soon!
