After
reading about the "glitch" in Broward County, Florida, one can't
help but wonder how many glitches went unreported in Florida and how many
votes Jeb really got? I knew there was a reason they canned the exit poll
results. No clues anywhere to the true results of these Repuglican elections.

There
can be found no "brilliance" in a win obtained by mainstream
media's complicit endorsement of Dumbya's rantings about WAR and EVIL.
He campaigned on a platform designed to scare Americans into submission.
Frankly, scaring the bejeezus out of people to effect a political gain
is the most evil stunt ever pulled by a politician. His "bully pulpit"
is a facade perpetrated by Karl Rove to give Dumbya's rantings credibility.
The truth is, he appears before an "invitation only" crowd with
a script carefully transcribed by someone else, to convey a message of
fear. These are not qualities found in real leaders.

Homeland
Security begins at Home! It's an oxymoron for Bush to claim that denying
workers' security will provide citizen security. Another nonsensical stand
by the Repuglican party in an attempt to Rule, rather than govern. If
they really cared about protecting the American people, then they would
pass a bill that protects all Americans, including the workers.

I
am doing a small part to overcome the hate-filled media broadcast by conservatives!
Any business I go into that has Rush Limbaugh's program tuned in, I tell
the proprietor I do not do business with anyone who tunes in to Rush or
any other biased promoters of mean and sleaze. I then leave, never to
return, and find somewhere else to conduct business. I will continue this
course of action in an attempt to stop these hate mongers. If we can't
get them on principal we can certainly get them where it hurts conservatives
the most, in their pocketbooks.

Florida
now has an interesting four years ahead of them. Without the prospect
of reelection, Jeb will be able to do as he pleases with Florida. He has
already shifted the blame to George for sending the Haitians back to Haiti.
Guess what will happen when offshore drilling begins -- that's right big
brother did it. This family will bilk every cent the citizenship has to
offer and smile all the way to the bank. He will keep class sizes up so
that Neil can profit from the software he's selling. Remember, Jeb said
the truth is not important in his grand scheme and Floridians will suffer.

Looking
to the future? This administration is doing all they can to return us
to the past. They want to overturn Roe vs. Wade, they want to negate the
advances made by medicine to cure disease, they want to eliminate Social
Security, they want the environment controlled by the very corporations
who corrupt the air we breathe, they want to limit civil rights and civil
liberties, they want gas and fuel prices as high as possible, they want
a mighty military force no matter the cost, they want deficits, they want
to rule rather than govern, and they want to wage war and silence dissent.
Sounds more like Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia to me. If allowed to continue,
we may find ourselves in the very circumstance that ended the Hitler regime
and the USSR.

Tucker
Carlson and Bob Novak are doing their best to ridicule Gary Hart, since
the news regarding Mr. Hart's possible bid for the Presidency in 2004.
In the Crossfire banter the usual smear came from the right wingnuts.
I could not help but remember, it was Gary Hart who, in conjunction with
Warren Rudman, warned the Bush administration about terrorist attacks
in the U.S. prior to 9-11. The Bush administration chose to ignore Senator
Hart and Senator Rudman. I cannot find any humor in 9-11 or in the attempt
to denigrate Gary Hart! Perhaps the conservatives don't want Americans
to remember this particular fact and thus the smear campaign begins.

The
right wing pundits do their best to ridicule the most accomplished Democratic
Representatives. The modus operandi is smear and ridicule, in order to
shut them out, because these Democrats are eloquent and the ones most
likely to convey the Democratic message. With the help of mainstream media
these right wing nuts will do anything to silence the Democrats. Don't
make the same mistake the conservatives in this country have made, don't
believe the mavens of smear, don't fall for their psychological gaming
attacks.

As
I sat in the waiting room at the dentist, I watched a mother with her
son, a bright boy, about 16 or so, showing his mother a game on a cell
phone. While eavesdropping, I wondered if this mother knows about the
Repuglican bill in the House of Representatives that will require her
son to report for 6 to 12 months of military training and education? Is
she aware that there is a high probability he will have to fight a war
for Bush oil? I think not, because mainstream media has failed to report
such things to the public, and the Bush Cheney Bumpersticker on her car,
as she drove away, tells me she hasn't a clue. God help these people when
they finally find out the hard way!

As
I think back over the past I realize that all the Repuglican administrations
came in with a bang, promising the world and giving us nothing but grief.
They were voted out in short order and left center stage in defeat, because
the Repuglican party does not represent the people of America. They represent
corporations, the very very rich, and themselves. So, in the end, this
bunch will go the way of those who came before them. They are only good
at sneaky, secret, underhanded, war mongering promises.

Just read your Editorial, "We Will Not Give Up" -- HOORAY HOORAY
HOORAY. Now that I've had a nap, my sentiments exactly! Thank you, for
all you guys do for Democracy and what you do for all of us in this country
who believe that justice is for all.

For
a country that has condemned violence in games, movies, and TV programs,
it seems strange they would embrace an ideology that is promoting violence
for real. As I ponder a future strife with unending wars, I wonder how
many more Walls will we Walk? How many of our sons and daughters will
be martyred to guarantee an abundant oil supply? How long will Americans
tolerate a government willing to forfeit our children and our future?
*
* *
I
just wonder how much backslapping and how many smiles will we see when
the bodybags start coming home? How many more will be unemployed? How
long will Social Security be viable? How many seniors will forego medicine
to eat? How long will women have a choice? And if you ever thought your
civil rights had been compromised, then look again, because you ain't
seen nothin' yet! The Repugs now have control and it will be a roller
coaster ride like this country has never seen before!

This
morning, in the pouring rain, I went to the polls. I am happy to tell
you, I voted for Max Cleland. I appreciate what Senator Cleland sacrificed
for America. As a matter of fact, I voted Democratic across the board,
because I am concerned and I want to continue to live in a Democracy.
I don't want some pip-squeak telling me how to live my life, with whom
I should live my life, which Supreme Being I should pray to or how to
pray, and who is good or evil. I want to to live in a society where the
press reports the news and I can decide for myself the issues, a society
that truly cares for hungry children and those among us who are less fortunate.
I want to be able to eat food that is not tainted, breathe air that is
fresh and clean, drink water free of arsenic, and know that these things
will be there for my children and my children's children. In other words
I want to live in a liberal America cognizant of the needs of all people.

America
is being represented by a self-proclaimed wannabe Dictator! Dumbya has
done everything possible to wrest Democracy from Americans. We cannot
continue to accept his underhanded secret form of government. We must
preemptively retake our country by voting Democratic today! We can use
preemptive strikes right here at home -- at the polls. We have the opportunity
to tell this thief we don't like dictators and we won't give him the means
to rule!

"The
Military Service And Training Act (HR 3598) is introduced in the House
of Representatives by Rep. Nick Smith (R, MI) and Rep. Curt Weldon (R,
PA). And though President Bush stated last spring that "the country
shouldn't expect there to be a draft," if passed, this bill will
require all young men to report for 6-12 months of military training and
education." America take notice of this little tidbit of news that
the administration and mainstream media failed to tell you about. While
Bush states "the country shouldn't expect," his administration
is gearing up to use the young men of America when needed. This, thanks
to Repuglican Representatives. Keep in mind the back door policies practiced
by the Repuglican party! Keep in mind they will do anything to promote
their agenda and we will all suffer the consequences!
*

Go to the polls and vote! Psychologically, the Repuglican party and mainstream
media would have you believe the results have already been decided, but
this is not true. Your vote does count and Democracy is at stake. The
future of our country and our children hangs in the balance. We will either
remain a Democracy with checks and balances, as the forefathers wanted
when they wrote the Constitution, or it will become the imperialistic
empire that Bush would like to dictate. Do not allow this illegitimate
pResident to have free reign over our future! Do not allow him the power
of life and death over our children! Do not allow him to become the dictator
he so greedily desires!

The
awesome wonders of technology! Today my phone rang, the voice said, "This
is George W. Bush," I then replied with a few choice words of my
own and hung up! Empowerment is wonderful, and the feeling of elation
cannot be matched when an ordinary citizen can hang up the phone on the
pResident of the United States, even though it was a prerecorded message.
Tomorrow, I intend to voice my opinion in a more substantial way, by voting
Democratic across the board.

I
see no honor nor dignity in those who ridicule senior citizens. The appalling
rhetoric degrading and debasing seniors who voted in the Florida debacle
was beyond the pale. Now the same Repuglican operatives are attempting
to smear an experienced, wise, elder statesman because they are afraid
it's the only way they can present their candidate in a more positive
light. It won't fly. Vice President Mondale is the epitome of a distinguished
career statesman. His opponent attempts to tell us he will change the
tone in Washington, but he set the tone when he showed us how disrespectful
he and his party are of experience and knowledge.
*
* *
The
pre-election rally for the Repuglican party on all mainstream media channels
has become disgusting. They are not even attempting to couch their bias.
It's a travesty for the American public, who depend on a honest presentation
of the issues when deciding their vote. The psychological presentations
are so transparent it doesn't take a degree to see through them. Greed
is a terrible thing, and it's even worse when those who are guilty, attempt
to present it as "God's Plan."

In
pondering the difference between conservatives and liberals, it became
quite clear that the conservative side of the aisle represents a select
group of people are reluctant to change, isolationists, so to speak. Liberals,
on the other hand, seek to effect political reform that extends democracy
to include all people in this country! If you are truly interested in
maintaining Democracy in America, then get out and vote Democratic!
