If the Repuglicans ever hope to have a scintilla of credibility, they will need to consider a more intelligent representative for their party. The current "leader" -- I say that with tongue in cheek -- is without a doubt the poorest example of a man who instills confidence, trust, and assurance. We have been forced into enduring four years of an imbecile. If he's the "cream of their crop," it would behoove the Repugs to replant their garden.

* * *

Of course Bush is politicizing the "war," it's the only issue he perceives to be a victory! Unfortunately for him, most Americans are prudent when it comes to sending their sons and daughters to die! One thing the Bushies have overlooked: Americans want the facts. They want all the information available before making such a momentous decision. While fear may be a driving force in the short-term, most of us will overcome the initial emotion, begin to think logically, and start to ask pertinent questions. Unlike Georgie, we are not as apt to seek "instant gratification."

* * *

How quickly we forget. Bush is the same man who told Americans we had enough financial surplus to give a massive tax-cut for the wealthiest, now we are into deficit spending. He would leave no child behind, but schools are still searching for the funds to educate our children. He promised prescription drug assistance to seniors having to choose medicine or food, yet seniors are still having to make that choice. He promised not to raid Social Security, but he raided Social Security. He promised to work with both sides of the aisle, yet he coerces agreements. He promised to be a man of the people, but he continues to march in tune with big business. Dumbya even promised "Osama dead or alive," and Osama is still out there somewhere. You get the picture -- he is not a man of his word. Do you really trust him when he says we must go to war with Iraq?

* * *

The big question is, "Why do they hate us?" If you really want an answer, one only has to look at this administration. Flexing muscle, demanding assent, and stomping feet are the highlights of diplomacy for the Bushies and does nothing to promote a friendly atmosphere. Abandoning treaties and forgetting promises does not bode well. Hateful rhetoric and temper tantrums reflect easily recognized childish behavior. Dumbya is provoking hatred from our friends as well as our enemies, just ask the people of Germany, France, England, and the numerous countries who have been our allies. His John Wayne impersonation may play well with a few here in America, but not with the majority of the people here or in the rest of the world.

Ever given any thought to what we really think about someone who believes they were sent by God to wage war? Osama bin Laden being one of those "nuts" who believes his mission to be God-driven gives us pause to wonder about his sanity. The lunatic wandering the streets proclaiming to be a messenger from God usually gets a quick glance and a hurried step from most of us, while we conclude he's craazzy! Now I ask you, does wearing a suit and tie change this perception of a person with an obvious grandiose complex? No, you say? Then why is everyone so ready to jump on the Iraqi war wagon that will certainly result in the death of innocents, to follow the assumed leadership of Dumbya, when he has no evidence?

September 26, 2002

If the founding fathers of America had considered it to be in the best interests of this country, they would have given the president the sole power to wage war. They wanted to be sure we didn't enter into conflict without the knowledge of the people or for the selfish reasons of one person. They wanted to preserve the Freedoms they put forth as best they could. Dumbya is precisely the reason why our forefathers wrote the Constitution -- his kind of despotic power is what they wanted to avoid. That is why the Congress must be included, why questions must be asked, and why debate is a necessary part of any necessary conflict.

* * *

So Georgie is remiss to mention Al Gore -- is it a case of "maybe he'll go away"? Could it possibly be Dumbya knows who really won that election -- you know the one he had to steal; the one he keeps running away from; the one he won't allow protestors to mention in his range of vision; the one that told him the American people did not choose him? Could it be that mentioning Al Gore reminds Dumbya who is the real President of the United States?

* * *

This has been the most chaotic and asinine approach to convincing the American people and the world that WAR is necessary. If Dumbya's gang is an example of experience, then God save us. When JFK presented this country with the evidence and he articulated the need, Americans knew we had a problem and knew we must take a stand against aggression. Plain, simple, cut and dried! Now we have alternating impressions of John Wayne, Father Knows Best, and the Keystone Cops attempting to make the case for a war of death and destruction. I don't trust the lives of my family with the Dumbya Comedy of Errors.

In response to an ABC news item, "Pentagon Explores Use of Chemicals, Pentagon explores ways to use drugs to calm people without killing them during riots." 1. Prescribing drugs without a license is against the law; 2. Consider allergic reactions which lead to anaphylactic shock and death; and 3. Will it increase the possibility and number of rioters because a riot is a good place to get high? Another harebrained theory by this administration to quell dissent!

Only someone with the intellectual capacity of Dick Armey would make the comments he made: "Liberals are in my estimation just not bright people. They don't think deeply; they don't comprehend; they don't understand. ... They have a narrow educational base, as opposed to the hard scientists." A statement like that takes a brain? Sorry, Dick your ignorance is showing big time!

* * *

With the Supreme Court Felonious Five and Superior Court Judges who throw out jury verdicts like James C. Chalfant, it's amazing that the GOP would have the audacity to question why Democrats won't support the extremist judges nominated to the courts by Dumbya! In case they don't know, it says the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA not the constitution of, for, and by the Repuglican party.

* * *

Dumbya is beginning to find out that the world is more than just Poppy! In his limited existence, Poppy has always been able to get Jr. what he wanted. But, there comes a time when Poppy's money and "influence" cannot buy him the "prize"; a time when reality sets in; and a time when sane people are not willing to support a spoiled brat in his attempt to add to his personal wealth at the expense of a world full of people.

In this new era of terrorists, security, and alerts, it seems that the only arrests are American citizens who have questionably broken the law. All the money, all the time, all the hype, all the yellow to orange alerts and we still have not made any advances in the war on terror here at home. No wonder Dumbya is promoting a war in Iraq -- he's impotent in America.

* * *

WHY I ask you is mainstream media not mentioning the fact that most of Saddam's WMDs were given birth by the Reagan-Bush administration? Why have we not heard on CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, or MSNBC a detailed in-depth investigative report on how the U.S. supplied the creative materials for these weapons Iraq could use against us? Why has someone not told us these were supplied to Iraq for use against Iran? You ask: Why do they hate us? Well, maybe this is a small part of the answer.

I certainly hope Jean Carnahan is elected to the Senate in November. Obviously, she is there because she cares about the people in her state. She could have decided to be a "stay at home" widow, but instead she chose to continue on and represent Missourians in the United States Senate. Her values, ideals, and resolve are to be commended. I know Missourians will recognize quality when they see it.

If we are to believe that the order to arrest the "suspected terrorists" in Buffalo came down from the highest law enforcer in the land, then tell me why he would issue such an order in so lame a case? Could it have been to gain a "political" advantage? It seems now, that it was a bit premature if indeed the case is to be made that they are terrorists. Again, the only thing we have learned for sure is an incompetent opportunist is calling the "shots"!

* * *

Americans can depend on mainstream media to present the case for a war with Iraq without dissent. This AM, CNN gave us Tony Blair's speech in its entirety. When the questions from the opposition arose --and they seemed credible questions -- Ms. Zahn interrupted the broadcast and began an inane questioning of the CNN reporter in England. Thus, America has gotten a good dose of the pros and not heard the cons. How can Americans arrive at a decision if we don't hear the full debate? Objectivity long ago left the scene, biased opinion is what we get from mainstream media.

I once supervised a halfway house at a mental health center for the rehabilitation of the emotionally disturbed in Orlando, Florida area. Back then, if a "client" was found in possession of illegal narcotics, the rules required they be expelled. Additionally, employees could not knowingly participate in an illegal act -- withholding information regarding a crime, which, technically, could be construed as aiding and abetting a felony. Patient privacy does not encompass ignoring the law. To maintain the integrity of the institution, no one is "allowed" to break the law. It seems that the governor's daughter is indeed getting special treatment and this puts not only the workers in jeopardy, but also the other clients at the center.

Given the current Dumbya hypothesis -- if you detect danger from another country you must strike them before they strike you -- tell me, what's to stop Saddam from striking first? I realize the only deterrent is the might and muscle of the United States and the fear of retaliation and annihilation, but doesn't that already exist? If one were to pause, take a deep breath and analyze current conditions, then logic should certainly prevail. Of course this would require a certain amount of intelligence (the brain kind) that this administration seriously lacks.

Has anyone given any thought to what happened in Iran when the Shah was overthrown? Can we look forward to some of the same in Iraq? Do you really believe the militants in the Middle East are going to go quietly into the dusk? Do you really believe that all it will take is a regime change. Thus far the U.S. has extensive long term involvement when regime changes were "managed." Cultures are diverse and not everyone in the world lives life according to the Dumbya doctrine. This is going to take much more than a change, it will take commitment, something lacking in the Dumbya plan.

Fool me once, shame on You, fool me twice shame on Me! Sorry George, we are not fools and we will not fall for your doublespeak again! You've been saying things from one side of your mouth and the opposite from the other, all your life. Compassionate conservative, HA, Scam Artist is more like it!
