Bill
Clinton took us across the bridge into the Twenty First Century! Alas,
Dumbya has returned us to the Twentieth Century (1989-1993). He has blurred
the line between church and state, our economy is in shambles, labor has
regressed to "owe my soul to the company store," the "haves"
have a whole lot more while the "have nots" have less, industry
is allowed to do what ever they want, our environment is in peril, and
the people have little voice in the governing body. If this is compassionate
conservatism, I don't want anything to do with it. It's time to return
back to the future!

A
settlement in Florida regarding Election 2000 Fraud is a beginning, but
it must be taken further! Why have there not been criminal investigations
into what happened in Florida? If, in fact, Fraud was committed, why are
those involved not having to answer for their crimes? Justice must be
served and those who perpetrated the worst crime ever committed against
our nation must face the consequences. Can this country ever trust Election
results in Florida again? It's time for the Repugs to practice what they
preach, it's time to "walk the walk" -- "It's the law,
and if it's broken, then those who broke the law must be held accountable!"

Arm
twisting, intimidation, bullying, and downright legal blackmail, that's
what is happening with the investigation of Congressional leaks. It's
typical of the Bush administration to "get even," and my friends
that is what they are doing. In the process they can discredit Congress
and continue the march to dictatorship! We have an UGLY administration
who will do anything to cover their own mistakes and discredit all others
while doing so! It's just like the Miami mob riots the Repugs had to stop
your votes from being counted! These people are despicable!

How
do you think the FBI agents feel having to cover for the Pooh-Bah? Now
we hear there was a virtual blueprint for 9-11, but it failed to be recognized.
Wouldn't you think that with all those "smart" foreign intelligence
people Dumbya has surrounded himself with, someone should have made the
connection? Seems strange to me that during the July 2001 G8 Summit in
Italy, Dumbya didn't stay in a hotel because they were fearful of planes
crashing into buildings. Seems strange also, that afterwards, the Bush
administration didn't have a clue about planes crashing into buildings
that would kill people!

If
in fact (and I believe the reports I've read), this administration was
negotiating with the Taliban for a pipeline through Afghanistan, then
no wonder they didn't heed the warnings of terrorist attacks. In their
bumbling arrogance they thought the offers of a "carpet of gold"
would be accepted, since that is what they would do under the same circumstances.
Remember these guys are driven by greed and money, so the natural inclination
from them would be to accept the gold. The calculated "risk"
was a limited number of casualties, which in fact would boost their standing
with the American people, because they could patriotically call upon the
people to rally for a "war" on terrorism. Then, they could deliver
the "carpet of bombs." If you only knew how much I wish this
hypothesis was wrong.

Where
was Dick Cheney's outrage and pompous, blowhard, indignation when he was
playing footsie with Iraq, helping them build an infrastructure and walking
away with millions of dollars? Was he too busy making all that money to
notice these weapons of mass destruction? Did a shiny new infrastructure
aide Saddam in manufacturing these weapons? The pot is calling the kettle
black.

The sounds coming from this oil driven administration are: War with the
entire middle-east. Is the ultimate goal invasion of any and all countries
with oil reserves? This administration's policies sound loonier every
time one of them opens their blowhard mouths. We have "debated"
or dictated everything from WMDs to the moral values of war. This supposed
"experienced" bunch in the current administration sound more
incompetent every day. Remember, they have no worries, they have fortified
bunkers they can retreat to in a time of danger.

Mainstream
media is a farce. They are walking and talking in lockstep with the Dumbya
regime. There is no major representation of any view other than the conservative
right wing. Boy, did Hillary have it right when she said "Vast right
wing conspiracy." What we didn't know then, is how far reaching and
insidious it has invaded our country. We didn't know the extremes these
people go to wield power. Unfortunately, we are finding out.
*

Do
you really trust the lives of our children to those who swore to get 'em
"dead or alive" and have come up with zilch? Do you really want
a war that is, thus far, us against the rest of the world? Do you really
want a war because, as Richard Perle said, "The failure to take on
Saddam after what the president said would produce such a collapse of
confidence in the president that it would set back the war on terrorism"?
Is war a necessary confidence builder for an incompetent man? Is the future
of America dependent upon boosting the ego of a spoiled brat? The priorities
of this administration are screwed up, and we the people will suffer their
incompetence.
*

I
don't trust the strategy that the "former" Bush people are against
an invasion of Iraq! This administration doesn't do anything that isn't
calculated. Any day now I expect to hear a complete reversal from these
same "formers," designed to give an appearance of "we know
something," that would endorse preemptive strikes. It's just more
scare the public into submission tactics. Don't believe, for one minute,
there is debate, the decision has already been made and this administration
is marching forward.

Jeb
Bush, Katherine Harris, and Tom Feeney are not just an embarrassment to
Florida, they are an embarrassment to democracy. They have successfully
thwarted a national vote by questionable means and seemingly gotten away
with it in America. I wonder what those who "monitor" democratic
elections in other countries would have to say about the Florida debacle?
I wonder if, fueled by past success, there will be a repeat performance
in the November elections 2002 and 2004? The State of Our Union is in
grave danger. Vote Democratic, be sure your vote is counted and return
democracy to America.

Now
the military is finding out how Dumbya cares! They are discovering (like
the firefighters) they are being used for personal gain by a man without
a clue. The "chickenhawks" have circled the wagons to out "talk"
the generals. Only the Bushies would attempt to tell the nation that "civilians"
are wiser when it comes to waging war. Another example of a lame effort
to validate their ludicrous views.
*
* *
The
Bush boycott of Washington State just goes to show you he is a vindictive,
spoiled, revenge-filled man who USES people when he needs them. The scuttlebutt
is that Bush will spend a lot of time in Washington in 2004, when he needs
their vote. Washington voters will see he's a user. I'm amazed they haven't
seen through him already. How in God's name can Repugs back so shallow
a man?

It
is time for our really "elected" leaders to stand up for the
people. It's time they represent our views. This is not a totalitarian
state, this is not some third world country, this is not a country that
supports an arrogant, less than intelligent, Pooh-Bah's desire to become
a dictator. Speak out, let your opinions be known, speak up for your civil
rights, support democracy, and regain America.

It
does not surprise me that Bush believes he can attack Iraq without the
approval of Congress. This man has seized the presidency without the vote,
he has overturned civil rights and civil liberties, he has drained the
coffers for personal gain, he has forced a personal agenda with no thought
for the citizens of this country, he has alienated our country and reduced
our stature in the world. He is an abomination and it's time that Americans
realize that because of Dumbya we no longer have a free and just country,
democracy died the day he, with the help of SCOTUS, stole the election.
*

Another
of the Bush profound policies -- in order to save the forest, we must
cut it down, thus leaving nothing to burn. I don't know what he uses to
come up with this kind of logic. It must be a simple solution for a simple
man.

"In
fact, had Al Gore not fought my enforcement of that deadline (thereby
enabling me to certify the election on Nov. 17, 2000, the deadline for
our receipt of overseas military ballots), he could have filed his contest
more than one week earlier," a quote from a book written by Katherine
Harris, to be released in October. Another attempt by the right wing to
blame the other side. Katherine Harris fought vehemently to swing the
Florida vote for Bush, she campaigned for him, she wanted him to win,
and she used her office to do some questionable things to insure a Bush
victory. That's the plain and simple truth. She does not deserve to be
elected to the Congress of the United States, she does not deserve to
be rewarded for underhanded tactics, including lies, that led to the worst
theft this country has ever had to endure.
*

I've
heard enough about "not criticizing" a president during a time
of war! If ever there was a time for critique -- it's now. We have an
imbecile strutting around spouting incoherent rhetoric, confusion, and
chaos -- someone needs to call him on his stupidity! It's becoming obvious
this man is a puppet and he's not sure who's the master. We need more
than criticism, we need a resignation, and we need a leader!

Running hasn't been very successful for Dumbya. He still has that belly
bulge. Exercise and activity usually eliminates middle-age spread, but
when one looks closely one can see more than an inch to pinch. Clearing
brush and sweating hasn't helped either, perhaps he needs to stop the
vacations, the naps, and all the Camp David weekends.
