When one sees the number of human lives oil is costing, it makes one wonder just how safe are our SUVs? How safe is it really, when oil is the deciding factor in how many have to die today? Al Gore's conservation policies are looking better everyday! I don't pretend to know a lot about scripture, but I believe "gluttony" was one of the seven deadly sins. Gluttony includes automobiles that use too much gas! If it's necessary for the American people to drive an SUV, then we should demand mileage standards for the sake of saving all life!

How can anyone believe anything uttered by a Repuglican? We were told there were surpluses in Washington that would go on and on for years. In the blink of an eye those surpluses have turned into deficits. Try as they will, the Bush administration cannot blame it all on the "terrorism" war. Tax cuts are the major reason we are now in deficit spending, while Bush's family and friends profit from the war. We, our children, and our grandchildren will be paying for the Bush profits. This administration cannot be trusted to tell the truth!

To hope Dumbya can tell the difference between a zygote and an embryo is expectation gone awry. It doesn't take a dinner invitation to know Bush doesn't have the intellectual capacity to understand the cloning issue.

It occurred to me if the money "polluters" poured into Repuglican campaign coffers, instead went to cleaning up their act, the world would be a few steps closer to survival! Just think of all the money spent on people who will not allow a cleaner environment. Seems rather "slothful" doesn't it?

When the press or anyone on the right asks a Democrat if "harping" on election 2000 may hinder future voting, the answer is clear: NO, BECAUSE WE WON'T GET OVER THE WORST CRIME EVER COMMITTED AGAINST DEMOCRACY. The only ones who want to "move on" and "get over it" are the ones guilty of condoning criminal action. To "forget" is to agree. Bush would like to "forget" how he got there, but the fact is he's a poacher!

My grandmother used to tell me "it takes one to know one." When the Repugs call anyone a "draft dodger," they are simply referring to something they know all about. Most leading members of the Repuglican Party did not serve in the military during Viet Nam. They were hiding out here at home, in a number of places. Just another psychological "projection" from the right!

"Hijack 'suspects' alive and well," read the headline from a BBC NEWS article dated 9/23/01. The article goes on to say that four of the suspects weren't even in the U.S. on 9/11. It even quotes FBI Director Mueller acknowledging the identities of the suicide hijackers is in doubt. Cynthia McKinney is certainly exercising her responsibility as a Congressional Representative to call for an investigation. Americans have a right to know why our country was attacked and by whom!

I would urge all who can to participate in the "Grandmas March" to prune the Bushes down in Florida! We need to support those who have the courage to stand for free speech, civil rights, and democracy. Who better than the Grandmother's of America to tell us all "how it is" and offer their best advice for improvement! In fact, Grandma's all over America should unite and march for the values that have made America! GO GRANNY GO!!!!

RNC Racicot has a thin skin! I've seen the Crossfire excerpt he claims was inappropriate. James Carville was not rude, nor was he inappropriate, he asked a question and asked for an answer. Racicot just did not want to give an honest answer because he knew it would be "politically incorrect"! We now know the RNC is a bunch of whiners, and Racicot should be sent back to the lobby!

An excerpt from Frank Bruni's book, "Ambling Into History: The Unlikely Odyssey of George W. Bush": "Remember only this: Our guy may be a little bit of a moron when it comes to the serious policy stuff, but if he came over to your house for dinner, he wouldn't bore everybody at the table trying to prove that he was smarter'n you were..." This statement says it all! The conservatives believe us all to have the same mentality as Dumbya! The Presidency is not an invitation to dinner -- we were electing the leader of the biggest superpower in the world. He should know all the serious policy stuff and, above all, he should not be a moron!

If the Cardinals and the Bishops in the Catholic Church do not have the foresight to accept a "zero-tolerance" attitude towards child-molesting priests, then Catholics need to report sex abuse to the police rather than to the Bishop. Legal action should be taken -- priests are not above the law! Children should never be subjected to molestation by anyone! If the distinction is not made, that priests who molest children are breaking the law, then all priests will be labeled and the church will implode.

On Karen Hughes being the "most powerful woman" in Washington -- In what sense? It's a generic statement with no follow-up. Questions flood the mind -- does she have reeking B.O., can she run faster than other women in D.C., how many pounds does she lift, is she the next contender on that Fox boxing show, or does she eat a lot of garlic? These are a few that could be answered, because she certainly doesn't have the stature or the character of some other DC women I've heard about, like Hillary, Dianne, Barbara, Nancy, Cynthia, Maxine, Mary, Jean, Maria, and Debbie, to name a few.

Dumbya's "walk of faith" is certainly taking us into some strange territory! He wants to make his crusade the goal for all Americans! I thought the world had enough of the crusades long ago. Strange, isn't it, how this administration visits times we thought forgotten? First, Bush wants a crusade, then he wants an "Inquisition" in Cuba. I'm afraid to ask what's next?

Bob Barr is an equal opportunity congressman. He will scandalize both Repugs and Dems. Anyone who opposes him can expect his venomous attacks. He will do whatever it takes to promote himself, including innuendo, outright lies, and smear, as only Bobbie can do!

Another Rose Garden speech -- the same as all the others. Idiotic, mundane, and downright embarrassing! The phrases are worn, silly, and tiresome. Giving Dumbya a bully pulpit only serves reality -- he's not capable of being president. We must emphasize this lunatic does not represent all the people in this country we hold so dear.

I believe Dumbya must be wondering "When is poppy going to step in and clean up the mess I've created?" As usual, the boy cannot grasp the big picture -- Poppy and friends helped create this mess! America thought we were getting an experienced administration that would adequately cover the boy's inexperience. What we got was a bunch of war mongers who want to rule the world! I wonder if the chaos and confusion is by design? I wonder if it's a plan with an ultimate goal?

"Spend more time with the family," seems to be the catch phrase for conservatives these days. Just as "it's in the bible," is used to substantiate every cockamamie personal opinion on the right, "family time" has no counter-argument and sounds good. However, we all know that these excuses are usually cover-ups for the real reasons! God speed to Karen!

When Bob Barr states, "I'm not Bill Clinton," he is truly in touch with reality. He will NEVER attain the stature of Bill Clinton. Thus far Bob can claim success as the best hate-filled scandal monger in the world.

From Dumbya's Earth Day speech: "If you own your own land, every day is Earth Day." What about the millions of people who cannot afford to own land? Are you implying that it takes privileged ownership to appreciate the Earth we all share? This personifies the Bush disconnect with average people, his isolationist attitude, and his inability to understand. It does not require title to nurture our environment -- we all have a stake in protecting Mother Earth and we can all share in the wonders provided by Earth. The only requirements are birth, love, and a desire to leave Earth a better place for those who come after!

The cable news channel that claims "fair and balanced" is as fair and balanced as the wayward husband who tells his wife "I'm not playing around"! The wife believes this tale because she wants to, not because it's the truth!

Glad to hear Rumsfeld apologize to the Canadians today. Too bad it took him so long. This administration is so arrogant, they only say I'm sorry when it becomes a thorn in their side. It was a reprehensible "accident" and profuse apologies should have come long ago. Another example of "we don't have to answer to anyone, unless of course it becomes absolutely necessary for our image."

It's one thing to protest and let your views be known -- quite another to intimidate average citizens! The anti-abortionists should be relegated to a protest zone. What's good for those of us who are anti-Bush, should be good enough for those who are anti-choice.

After reading BuzzFlash link to the NYT article, "The Selling of an Energy Policy," written by Al Gore, I realize what this country lost when Bush effected a coup. We lost a champion of human rights and our true leader when Bush was allowed his "take over." Our liberty and environment are being devastated by Bush and the oil industry. We will bear the consequences of these profit driven oil barons and war mongers. How sad for us and our future!

Every time the Bush family breaks the law, they claim privacy privilege, and nothing happens to them! The Bush family is given their privacy to go out and do it again! America wake up! If a member of your family commits a crime, your family is not granted privacy with absolution! It's a Bush habit. They evidently equate privacy with "we are above the law." I'm sick of these people who expect personal responsibility and punishment for everyone else, but seem to think it's all right when they break the law!

One glaring fact has jumped out of the reporting on the Venezuelan coup attempt: The rebels moved immediately to control the press. This included the TV stations and the daily publications. Sound familiar? It happened here in the good ole USA. American citizens rarely, if ever, get objective news reports from mainstream media. We can thank BuzzFlash for bringing us the truth in news. Keep it going.

The current administration and the DOJ are arresting everyone who looked cross-eyed at America and some who didn't. This is an attempt to cover the fact that they cannot find bin Laden; an attempt to divert attention away from an investigation into why 9-11 happened. They are creating an illusion of security, because they don't want the American people to know the truth.

When Bush speaks of Democracy, it is not Democracy as dictated by the Constitution! It is the Bush Doctrine! His bizarre version of Democracy does not include the people's opinion, the people's vote, or anything resembling civil rights. The Bushies are rewriting our Constitution and negating the American people.

Today we find ourselves in a world filled with war and aggression. This administration and their leader is involving us in Bush's private revenge! We are all on Bush's road to insanity. Our sons and daughters lose their lives fighting Dumbya's war while, again, he sits safely here at home!!

The right-wingers can't stop harping on President Clinton, because there isn't anything good to write about Dumbya! We were in paradise under Clinton. Look at us now: all war all the time and despised by the rest of the world, with things sliding further down everyday!
