The State of Our Union has become bleaker since George Bush hijacked the Washington scene. Truth, justice, and the American way have flown out the window.  Billions of taxpayer dollars have been spent yet the military industrial complex has grown weaker, domestic security is in question, industry is all but nil, our jobs are being sent to foreign places, our civil liberties are in jeopardy, education is limited, medical costs have skyrocketed and the uninsured numbers are growing higher every day, people are having to choose between drugs and/or food to stay alive, division and discrimination are alive and well, the deficit is approaching the limits of no return, the environment is more dangerous than ever, our international reputation and good will are lost, and conservative Repuglican corruption has taken over our government. If this is “progress,” for God’s sake, please don’t give me hard times!!!

“Abu Bakr Naji, an al Qaeda insider and author of the book, "The Management of Savagery," believes that the 9/11 attacks accomplished what they needed to by forcing the U.S. to commit their military overseas.  He says 9/11 forced the U.S. to fall into the "trap" of overextending their military….the war in Iraq was shaping up to be exactly what al Qaeda wanted…by committing militarily overseas, the U.S. will drain itself economically”!  It saddens me to say it sounds like Bush has been had by those dummies the terrorists.  Who are really as dumb as posts now???

Where do these fanatics get off, they want to control our bedrooms, our personal lives, our speech, our everyday comings and goings, and I for one am sick and tired of them sticking their big noses into my business!!! I can’t get this grist out of my craw, especially when I think about it in terms of -- I haven’t told anyone to go out and burn the flag, I haven’t told anyone not to burn the flag, in no way would I ever tell someone to get or not get an abortion, I have no objection to how or who to worship, and as far as gay marriage is concerned, gays and lesbians alike are citizens of these United States, they pay taxes, work for a living, and are deserving human beings. As citizens of the United States of America they should not be denied their rights simply because someone else’s “religious” beliefs would exclude them!  Discrimination in any form is not to be tolerated in a country that guarantees its citizens by way of the Constitution, “freedom and democracy,” especially when there is no physical harm to others.  I do object to a premise that anyone who wants to can run willy nilly around with a gun of mass destruction (the gun killing murder rate in this country is abominable), and I believe there is a need to control the types of guns and gun totin’ ownership, so if the radical Repuglicans are really looking for a credible moral cause, I’ve found one for them, Gun Control!!!

Having worked in a VA hospital for a time, I am very supportive of our veterans and do believe they should get everything this nation can give them for the risks they’ve taken and the service they’ve provided!  Having said that, this latest debacle of veteran’s sensitive information having been stolen is beginning to take on the cloak of a conspiracy theorist’s nightmare!!!  Information is stolen, and now we hear “the Bush administration was asking for at least $160.5 million in emergency funds for credit monitoring and other measures to protect veterans and military troops whose sensitive personal information was stolen from a VA employee's laptop computer.”  Hmm, you just have to wonder who and/or what company will be awarded a very generous contract to "turn his [Jim Nicholson's] agency into a 'model for information security'"?  Is this a legitimate request or was there a little hanky panky going on, you know the kind where they create a disastrous dilemma, then provide a very large monetary solution, and all in the name of patriotism???  Knowing that billions of dollars have been unaccounted for since the Bushies slid into Washington, it does leave one wondering!!!

Sounds like George Bush is attempting to “legalize” some of that which he’s been doing illegally since arriving in Washington!!!  Thus far he’s been using “signing statements” for vetoing anything he didn’t agree with, now he wants a “line-item veto” to make it all legitimate! The Bushies must be a tad bit worried about it since they’re asking for Congressional approval. Just say NO to “line-item veto” power if you care to have any semblance of democracy left in America.

All the flack over the so called NYT disgrace, is proof positive that our radical Repuglican elected representatives are dumber than posts, and they think we are too!!!  How many times since 9-11, 2001 have the Repuglicans marched out and proudly announced they are getting the terrorists where it hurts, by “tracking the money”?  How many times has Bush himself announced to the public there are methods in place to stop the money flow to the terrorists?  Gagging the truth in order to maintain power is what this latest hullabaloo is about, the Repuglicans don’t want Americans to know they’re sticking their noses into every facet of our lives, our liberty, and the pursuit of our happiness, looking for intimidating ways to eliminate dissent and thus wipe out democracy in America forever!!!

What’s with these radical lunatic Repuglicans that they can’t keep their minds off sex?  Now we have poor old Senator Grassley out there wanting the IRS to go after “pimps,” of all things!  As if any pimp is going to fill out a W2 for their employees!!! According to Michael Horowitz, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, "We need to simply treat the pimps and massage parlor operators the way we would treat anybody who takes the proceeds of a customer transaction from somebody and then gives a fraction of it back." And then there’s this: “Grassley envisions creating an office inside the Internal Revenue Service to prosecute sex traffickers for violating tax laws. The office would get $2 million to get started, and it would be allowed to keep a portion of the taxes it collects.”  Sounds like a whole lot of “pimping” goin’ on!!  Craaazzy.

An opportunity to wipe out Social Security forever is another reason Bush needs to keep a radical Repuglican majority in Congress!  Seniors better think twice when going to the polls in November.  Keep in mind the radical Repuglicans speak out of both sides of their mouths and Bush will “fix the facts around the policy” and tell whatever lie is necessary to screw you!!!
